Powers: None; she prides herself on being "Normal"
Personality: Nem, as he friends sometimes call her, loves life, but she loves her job even more. Tracking down and arresting freak kids with powers that threaten to destroy all she holds dear gives her a high and an adreniline rush like none other. She works round the clock, any shift any time for any reason, to get the job done and done right. Smart, strong-willed, and highly independant she often goes on missions by herself and feels held back when she does get paired with someone. Often brash, quick to anger, sharp-tongued, and a smart-alek, she gets in trouble on a regular basis and the only reason she hasn't been fired yet is because she's one of the best that they have.
History: Her father was a CIA agent and her mother a high-profile docter dealing with "special children". Nemesis didn't find out just how special they were until one accidently killed her mother when she was just fourteen. As she soon discovered, her mother had been a government agent experimenting on and with children with powers and abilities beyond normal reasoning and understanding. Though her mother had taken a particular "experiment" too far, thus resulting in her death, Nemesis never really knew or acknowledge this fact. Her father, after her mother's death, began to become more and more consumed with his wrok, trying to bury his pain. When Nemesis turned sixteen, her father took an undercover assignment and she hasn't heard from him sense. But with her family's connects she got in to goverment work and now has set her life goal to catching as many of these kids as she can.

All Too Human

Name: Cameron Scott (goes by Cam)
Age: 22
Group: Extremist
Powers: None; she's quite tame...yeah, right.
Personality: Though often perceived as not having much of a personality, there's more to her than meets the human eye. She holds several black belts in varied martial arts, she's highly protective of the defenseless (kids, the elderly, widows, orphans, that style of thing), and she is devoted to right and good. And there are temptations ever for her. Money does not tempt her, but power, prestige, and importance...oh yes! She always wanted to have a special power, dreamed of it as a child, so when the chance came along to help kids with powers as a way to fulfull her dreams and wishes through them, she took it. And she'll do anything to remain in power and control.
History: She grew up never really knowing her father. He was a military man, often travelling and in war zones, and very rarely every getting to go home for long. Her mother read to her from a very early age, getting her interested in fables, myths, and legends. She often daydreamed that she had powers, like flying or speaking to animals, or other such childish things. But soon enough her hopes were dashed, other kids started picking on her and abusisng her for her fantasies, and she began to take martial arts classes in order to defend herself. She put her dreams behind her, made her way through college, and then things started to happen, unexplainably things. When she realized that there were children that could do the things she had so longed to when younger, she easily fell in league with them and vowed to stay with them and fight for and with them.

Power Without Glory

Name: Ayaka Kaleo
Age: 17
Group: Extremist
Powers: She gave herself the title of Speaker, which implies what her power is. She can understand, speak, read, and write any language. Beyond that, she is also a highly talented puzzle-solver, especially when it comes to riddles, word games, or codes.
Personality: Shy, soft-spoken, and gentle, she avoids conflict when simple diplomacy will suffice. A pacifist by nature, she often acts as a peacemaker and translator when things become strained between people, especially those of different races with their own native tongue. With her puzzle-solving abilities, people often try to take advantage of her by getting her to crack computer security codes, locks, and other such things. She will initailly refuse, but if pressured she tends to give in in order to avoid further conflict and to feel more accepted.
History: An unwanted child born out of wed-lock, she was immediately placed in a orphanage. She lived a simple life and spent long hours by herself, staring out windows, and reading whatever she could get her hands on. When she was just six, she was already reading things on a high school level, so the people running the orphange knew that there was something special about her. They started bringing her puzzles, books of all genres, dictionaries, atlases, anything they could bring her, and she read them all. It became so bad, though, that it was almost like she was some kind of freaky show. Tiring of all the attention over her special ability (which she didn't really think that much of) she ran away from the orphanage one night and has been on her own ever since.

Name: Nyx Tane
Age: 19
Group: Govie-Extreme
Powers: Manipulator and puppet-master, things around him are never as the seem or should be. He's mostly at home within other's minds and in their dreams. He enjoys getting a glimpes of other people's fears and then expoliting those fears and turning them in to full-blown paranoia. While he can't give someone a specific dream, he can cast minor illusions, significantly alter any already existing dream, or feed on his victim's underlying thoughts to force a nightmare upon them. After enough time and effort, he can drive a person insane or gain quite a bit of control over them by playing with their emotions.
Personality: Perceived as being innocent by most, he's nothing of the sort. He thrives on fear and tension, as they are his closests friends. Speaking of friends, everyone that knows him always strives to remain on his good side, knowing that if they tick him of then he will gain revenage as quickly and painfully as possible. He doesn't hold grudges, though, because he settles scores almost immediately and if he's unable to than he can easily let it go. Yet he's also a very jumpy character himself, always fearing the someone will turn his powers back on him or that the Govies will tire of him and get rid of him in a most...unpleasant fashion.
History: Wealthy parents that were hardly ever home pampered him with all he ever wanted because they rarely saw him and thought gifts would make him love them. He attended a private school with equally rich and snobby kids and never had to face the real world. When he graduated three years faster than most becasue of his amazing intelligence, he decided not to go to college and since he was so wealthy he didn't have to work, either. He began hanging out with the wrong types of people, gangs mostly, and started to discover his powers then as he began stealing, fighting, and generally getting in to trouble. Eventually, though, he got caught and, when it was dicovered that he was an Extreme, he was handed over to the Govies. He was then given a choice, one he could not refuse, and thus joined the ranks of the Govies to forever to their will. And if at any point he crosses them...well, no one from his past even knows he's still alive, so he's expendable.

Name: Damian and Cosmas Azreal
Age: Looks 17-ish, but isn't really.
Group: Extreme
Powers: Schizophrenia; okay, so maybe that's really not considered a power and it's only that they seem schizophrenic because of what they really are. Which is a demon and an angel inhabiting the same body. Thus, he is more an In Between than anything. Beyond that, they do have wings, one pure white and the other onyx black, and they cannot disappear. They do, however, have a leather rig to keep the wings
Personality: If anyone has the right to have multiple personality disorder, it's these two. They talk to themselves, carry on conversations with other In Betweens that they see, regardless of whether others can see them or not.
History: They weren't exactly born, neither were they created. They just have existed for as long as there has been good and evil, light and dark. And yet they can't remember their past lives. Every one hundred years they are reborn, never aging and never dying...and never understanding quite what or who they are.
