.://July.28.2005-†>>
Plans for an offsite web page with the same content are brewing since Neopets is making it so hard to keep up with all their rules.. For one, I can't have nay links.
Yayness! ^_^ WIshlist page is up! It's not completed, however. Heheh... But; I managed to get one of my stories in here! Gratzies to me! ^_^

.://June.23.2005-†>>
-dies- Stupid petpage! GRR! Ok; I tried to upload the rest of my stories, but it keeps going to "Page Cannot Be Displayed" and won't update. So.. I figured; 'Why don't I put the stories into reference sheets? That way, they should all fit! ^_^' So, being stupid, I tried to put the Pokémon story up using a reference sheet, and it killed everything! ;__; So now, I have to rebuild it, and I think I'm going to wait to put the stories in until I can figure out how to ge tthem into reference sheets...
-walks aways grumbling-

.://June.21.2005-†>>
The launch of my Story page has begun! Yay! I'm also working on getting some screenies up; that page is so... BLAH without them. ^_^;
Well; I must be off to go do that now, shouldn't I?

.://June.16.2005-†>>
Oh wow. Here I was thinking I'd be able to have at least this page up and running but no; The Neopets Team had to go and mess around with the petpage filters...
In English, you ask?
TNT has "acidentally" altered the filters so that whenever someone tries to create a new link, it shows up as "-blocked-" on the petpage and messes up any following coding...
So.. Instead of sitting around here waiting for it to be fixed, I'm off to earn neopoints, help my guild, and fix some of my sketches so I can get them into the computer and color them.

Au revoir mes amis

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya ran out the door of her home, almost tripping. She was going to be late if she didn't hurry. She almost tripped again as her flip-flop came off, and she scrambled to get it back on. Up ahead she saw Professor Oak's Lab, a group of kids crowding before the entrance. She quickly ran the rest of the way up the hill and stopped to rest for a moment before walking through the electronic sliding doors.

.:Kiyoko:.

Kiyoko walked slowly out of her house; her mother had passed 2 years ago that day, and her father was claimed to be dead in search of a mystical pokémon. Locking the door behind her, she continued her way over to her friends' who said he had something for her. When she reached his house, he opened the door immediately, throwing a pokéball at her and slamming the door shut. Kiyoko sighed, knowing that Miyako didn't especially like socializing in the day; he was paranoid that groups of Clefairies were going to take him to the moon. Rolling her eyes, Kiyoko headed towards the trail, throwing the pokéball ahead of her.

.:Kaiya:.

Someone suddenly ran into Kaiya, knocking her down onto the hard floor of the lab. Dazed, she looked up at a boy's face, the one who had bumped into her.

You better hurry if you want to receive a pokémon, Kaiya," the boy said teasingly.

It was Sean, Kaiya's competitive neighbor. He already had a pokéball in his hand.

.:Kiyoko:.

Kiyoko was quite surprised to see an Eevee; not many people started off with one. Shrugging, Kiyoko smiled at the happy Pokémon and ventured off into Ilex Forest.

After entering the Forest only slightly, Kiyoko noticed that the Eevee was poofing up.

Probably scared of a bush.

Kiyoko laughed. Suddenly, a shot of water hit the tiny Eevee, and Kiyoko's eyes darted around. Looking ahead she noticed Naiku.

Naiku," Kiyoko groaned as she picked up the wet Eevee. Looking back, she noticed he had a Totodile.

Is that what you're starting with? Ha! Good luck!" He retorted, heading off towards Pewter, his hyper Totodile following. The Eevee whimpered.

Don't worry about it," Kiyoko said with a smile, "He's a jerk.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya clumsily got to her feet, only to fall back down as Sean stepped on one of her flip-flops. She blushed, embarrassed at falling down so many times in front of all of the other kids in the lab. Sean laughed rudely before heading outside through the glass doors. Kaiya stood back up and sighed, walking over to where Professor Oak stood talking to young girl, a pokéball in his hand. When he saw her he gave the pokéball to the girl and walked over to Kaiya.

Kaiya! So glad to see you," he said kindly. "I have something for you, if you'd follow me.

Professor Oak turned and headed towards a shelf full of slots where pokéballs had once been. There was only one pokéball, however, and it was located at the very top of the shelf in the right-hand corner. It shone oddly for a second, and Kaiya blinked, only to see that it looked normal again.

.:Kiyoko:.

Hmm... I don't know what I should name you..." Kiyoko whispered softly. She and the Eevee continued to wander around. Kiyoko was beginning to get frustrated; she couldn't find her way out.

Stupid natural maze!" She cried out loud. Unfortunately, that caught the attention of a young female trainer with pink hair; very pink hair. Kiyoko sweat dropped as the trainer walked towards her smiling at the Eevee.

Want to battle?" She asked. A strand of her hair got caught in the wind and drifted towards Kiyoko; she shuddered.

Uhh... no thanks." She stated as she started walking past the disappointed trainer.

There's a thunder stone in it if you win!" The trainer cried. The Eevee looked up anxiously at her. Turning to the trainer, Kiyoko asked, "And if you win?

The trainer smiled, "That pretty necklace you have.

.:Kaiya:.

Professor Oak reached his hand up, trying to grab the pokéball off of the tall shelf. Instead, though, he succeeded in leaning against the shelf and knocking it over so that it crashed loudly to the floor.

Well, that's one way to get it," he chuckled as he picked up the pokéball from the remains of the broken wooden shelf. He then handed it to Kaiya, who gratefully took it. "If you had come a bit earlier, you would have been able to choose which pokémon you got. But as you have come late, you must take this one.

Kaiya turned the pokéball around in her hands curiously as Professor Oak jabbered on. Finally, he quit talking and went through a door in the back of lab. He came back carrying a white shoulder back, and handed it to Kaiya.

This contains all of your essentials; your extra pokéballs, pokédex, and food. You may also carry other items in here such as berries and things you find along your travels.

.:Kiyoko:.

Kiyoko grinned and said, "You're on.

The girl sent out an Igglybuff. It hid behind its trainer. Kiyoko was trying hard not to laugh, but then felt bad that she was going to battle it. Kiyoko looked at her Eevee while the trainer was encouraging her Igglybuff. "Try not to hurt it too much," she whispered.

The Eevee hopped up in front of Kiyoko and rolled around, waiting for its opponent. The Igglybuff eventually came up to the Eevee, crying. As it got closer, the Eevee simply turned on her back and stared up at the creature. It suddenly broke out into a double slap all over her. Leaping up, the Eevee tackled the Igglybuff, sending it flying into its trainer's arms. She recalled it.

Ok, you win. Here you go." She said with a smile, handing Kiyoko the Thunder Stone.

Bye," She called after Kiyoko as she walked away. "That was weird..." Kiyoko said, shrugging as she put the stone into her knapsack.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya nodded, and was about to walk away when Professor Oak spoke once more.

Kaiya; you plan to become a pokémon champion, correct? Well, here's a little advice. Do not give up hope and trust in your pokémon. You must take good care of them; they shall guide you along your travels and help you succeed in completing your dream. Understand?

Yes; thank you!" Kaiya exclaimed happily. She turned and walked back to the sliding glass doors, hesitated, then dashed out to begin the long journey, the pokéball clutched tightly in her hand and the shoulder bag slung across her shoulder.

.:Kiyoko:.

Suddenly, the little Eevee ran wildly towards a break in the trees.

Hey!" Kiyoko cried, worried the pokémon would run away. Hesitant, she tossed the pokéball at it. As she went to pick it up, the Eevee burst back out in a flash of light, then lightly head butted Kiyoko, looking up with sad eyes.

Kiyoko smiled, "Ok, you don't have to go back in. Just behave; we're in Viridian now.

Kiyoko walked around, looking at the huge Kimono sale.

Wow; looks like someone wants these sold.

Resisting the urge to purchase anything, Kiyoko headed to the PokéMart. As she entered, the man at the counter turned to her.

Oiwa; you buy potions, yes?

Uh... yes; 5 please.

Kiyoko replied, paying for the potions. She quickly placed them in her pack.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya slowed down to a walk as she headed towards the PokéMart. She needed to buy some items before traveling. Curious as to which pokémon she received, Kaiya threw the pokéball in front of her. A small Eevee appeared before her and it looked up at Kaiya with shy, blue eyes. "Eevee..?" it questioned.

Kaiya stooped down and carefully picked up the pokémon, stroking its head softly. It closed its eyes and fell asleep in her arms, purring quietly. Kaiya continued walking along the path and was about to go into the PokéMart when Sean came walking out.

My pokémon could easily defeat yours," he bragged as he saw the Eevee in Kaiya's arms fast asleep. A charmander stood by his side.

.:Kiyoko:.

Ee-vee!" The tiny creature cried out as it darted past someone who was heading out the door.

Eevee!" Kiyoko cried out as she ran after her. She saw the tiny Eevee jumping up excitedly at another trainer who was holding an Eevee in her arms. It appeared to be asleep.

Move!" Kiyoko said as she shoved someone out of her way. .:Kaiya:.

Sean almost fell over as the girl pushed him aside. The charmander became mad, and spit out a small ember of flames at the girl's Eevee, who was jumping around happily.

You move!" Sean said angrily and he pushed the girl back through the door into the PokéMart. He turned and continued speaking to Kaiya. "Let's battle just so I can show you how easy it is to beat you!" The charmander acted all tough and he shot a small flame at the sleeping Eevee in Kaiya's arms.

.:Kiyoko:.

Twitching, Kiyoko's Eevee got up, snarling, and then charged the Charmander, sending it flying a few feet. It became confused. Kiyoko came stumbling back out of the mart, and then shoved this guy to the ground.

What's your problem!?" She screamed in his face, "I was just trying to get my Eevee under control, and you do this!?

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya winced as the girl yelled at Sean. The Eevee in her arms woke up from the noise.

STOP IT!!" Kaiya screamed suddenly, louder then she had expected to. She blushed and looked over at the girl and Sean, who had immediately stopped yelling at each other and were looking at her. In fact, everyone around them was staring at Kaiya and she became redder. .:Kiyoko:.

Kiyoko stopped yelling at the rude boy and called her Eevee over. Before heading over to the other girl, she kicked the guy.

I'm really sorry my Eevee; ermm... 'attacked' you; she's very hyper.

.:Kaiya:.

Right..." Sean replied sarcastically, his charmander cowering behind his legs.

Well; I better go now since nothing important is happening here," he exclaimed rudely before turning and walking off. Kaiya watched as Sean walked away, then she looked over at the new girl. Her Eevee was wide-awake now, and it leapt out of her arms and shyly tilted its head, looking at the girl's Eevee.

Veee...." it whispered.

.:Kiyoko:.

Ee-vee!" Kiyoko's Eevee said loudly, purring as it nudged the other girl's Eevee. Feeling awkward, Kiyoko began talking to the girl, "So; where are you headed? I'm planning on visiting my brother and sister on Cinnabar Island; they said they had something there for me. How about you?

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya looked at the new girl, then to the two Eevees playing together. She had always been shy and never was good at making friends when she was younger. Even though she was 14, Kaiya only knew her neighbor, Sean, in her small town of Pewter.

Um... well, I plan... I am planning to beat the Elite Four here in Kanto, then move on to the Jhoto region and beat the Elite Four there..." Kaiya replied nervously.

She had just gotten her first pokémon from Professor Oak and hardly knew where she was headed. She did know the towns and cities she had to go to in order to beat the eight gyms, but wasn't quite sure how to get to them. Kaiya's Eevee stopped playing and walked back to her new trainer, looking up at her with playful blue eyes. "Eevee!" it said joyfully.

.:Kiyoko:.

Kiyoko nodded as the girl told her story.

My name's Kiyoko. This Eevee here is my first pokémon that my neighbor gave me. Do you want to go sit down somewhere? Maybe get some food?

Kiyoko pressed further, attempting to befriend this shy girl. She smiled at her.

.:Kaiya:.

(( to be continued ))

.:Kaiya:.

A lone wolf lay under a large, sweeping willow by a small lake. It was mid-winter, the white snow covering the ground like a crystal blanket. The moon created a silvery-white glow that shone down upon the forest where the willow and lake were located. The wolf, a young fae, awoke from her rest and twitched her ears, swishing her three tails. She tilted her head as the fae heard a sudden noise.

.:Seika:.

AROOO!!

A fae cried out as she hit the ground. Looking up, whimpering, she saw rocks rolling down to the edge of the cliff she had just fallen off of. Panicking, she tried to get up, but howled in pain as she tried to use her right forepaw.

AROOOOOOOOO!

.:Kaiya:.

The fae quickly stood up as she heard the cry of pain, her great feathered wings rustling in the cold winter breeze. She scanned the forest as delicate snowflakes began to fall from the grey night sky. The fae perked her ears, catching every sound with her acute hearing. She waited.

.:Seika:.

She scratched at the ground hard with her hind paws, trying desperately to get out of the way of the falling boulders. "AROO!?

She cried out in a desperate attempt for help.

.:Kaiya:.

The fae heard the call again and answered it with her own howl. The sound began quite low, then slowly rose into the sky and stayed there at a high note before dissolving into the cool night air. Then, the wolf closed her eyes and the star-shaped marking on her forehead began to glow silver. An orb of silvery-blue light began to form before the fae, the light swirling and dancing and producing a bright glow.

.:Seika:.

The young fae lay there helplessly, cringing at the sound of the cliff above giving way to the weight of the boulders. She squinted as the hot ash shapes on her forehead began to glow, enveloping her in a ball of fire…

.:Kaiya:.

Then, the orb rose into the sky and the fae opened her eyes, watching the swirling ball of light float higher and higher. Suddenly, a great flash of bright silver light went through the whole forest and the fae spread her wings, flying up to where the orb was shining brilliantly. She then looked down upon the forest and spotted the other fae, a wall of fire rising around her. "The fae with the element of fire..." she whispered to herself.

.:Seika:.

She heard the sound of crumbling rock, and curled as well as she could into a ball, waiting for the crushing impact. She heard the impact; she heard it quite clearly. After waiting and feeling no pain, she opened her eyes slowly, and noticed she was surrounded in fire.

Wha?

She thought, mystified by this. Still lying down, she took her left fore paw and swatted through the fire. She then checked her fur; it wasn't singed.

.:Kaiya:.

The fae watched as the rocks fell from the cliff and hit the wall of fire, burning into ashes as they did. The orb of light disappeared and the wolf flew down over to the other fae. She landed softly by the dancing orange and red flames that were surrounding the other wolf. She tilted her head and shook her wings once, one midnight-black feather falling into the fire and not burning.

.:Seika:.

She stared in awe at the wall of fire around her; the harmless fire... Then; she noticed a dark figure on the other side, but couldn't see what it was... .:Kaiya:.

The fae closed her eyes, trying to communicate with the other wolf.

You need to make the fire disappear on your own; think of controlling it...

The star on her forehead began glowing again, this time a fiery red.

.:Seika:.

What!?

The fae jumped up, only to fall again. She wished she could see the thing... thing that was talking to her... Nuzzling her head in her left fore paw, she wished she could just go home...

But then, she wondered if this being was trying to hurt her... She thought;

I can take it... It won't hurt me!

She stood up, right fore paw lifted, and spread her wings, breaking through the shield of fire.

.:Kaiya:.

The fae fell back as the other wolf within the fire broke through and the red flames shot out at her. She winced as one hit her on her back, the sudden burning pain rushing through her whole body. Without knowing what she was doing, the fae created a great shield of swirling silver light around herself, and she opened her eyes in pure awe. Through the shining shield of light, the wolf saw the other fae and noticed that she, too, also had wings.

.:Seika:.

She stepped back in confusion; this creature was like her... Curios, she slowly limped forwards.

.:Kaiya:.

The shield of light slowly disappeared and the fae watched the wolf as she limped over to her. The fae closed her eyes, and the white star-shaped marking on her forehead began to glow again, this time silver. A beautiful golden-yellow light surrounded the other wolf's injured paw.

.:Seika:.

Suddenly, the fiery fae looked down at her forepaw; it felt quite strange, yet good. Carefully, she placed it on the ground, and found that there was no pain. She quickly romped in a circle around the other dark fae while flapping her wings.

.:Kaiya:.

The fae sat down and rustled her wings as the other wolf happily spun in circles and ran around her. "What's your name?" she asked quietly. The fae knew that this other wolf was new to her powers and that she didn't know how to use them.

.:Seika:.

The fiery fae soon stopped, turning to face the other fae. "M-my name?

She stuttered.

.:Kaiya:.

The fae tilted her head in confusion at the other wolf. She must not know of her past as I do not either… she thought to herself. The wolf stood up and stepped towards the other fae of fire.

Your name shall be Seika, meaning 'Fire'.

She sat down again right before Seika and swished her tail, fluttering her wings.

My name is Kaiya.

.:Seika:.

Wow...

The young fae looked up at the majestic creature, her wings stretched wide. Seika herself stretched her wings, the tips of red shedding hot ash as she did.

Ahh...?

Seika said out loud. This was confusing to her, 'Why is there ash coming from my wings?' She thought.

.:Kaiya:.

You, Seika; you control a very special element. You posses the element of Fire, the burning flames of Power and Courage.

She paused for a moment and watched as tiny snowflakes melted in the air just before they could land on Seika's black coat. She gazed up at the night sky, the stars shining down upon her sapphire blue eyes.

You do not know of your past as I do not, I suspect. And I, too, control an element; the power of Light, of Wisdom and Purity. But I do not know why I have this power, nor why you control the power of Fire.

Kaiya continued to look up at the midnight sky. She let out a howl that rose to a high note and she held it there, the noise clear and strong. The howl traveled far across the forest, to the other ends of the earth, echoing across the valleys and rivers of the land.

.:Seika:.

Kaiya's howl sent shivers down Seika's spine. For some reason, Seika had an urge to look up to the sky...
Then, suddenly, she flapped her wings, sending an array of ash towards the ground, and flew through the tree tops up into the glittering sky.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya howled again, knowing that Seika had flown up into the star-covered sky. The howl was the same as the one before, except there was a feeling of hope and light in the call. Kaiya held this howl longer then the last, letting the sound envelope herself and the tress around her. Finally, after some time, the howl slowly died and Kaiya looked to the moon, watching Seika as she flew higher. She for once felt happy in her life. Kaiya felt that she was soon going to find out about her past; maybe even find her pack that she couldn't remember.

.:Seika:.

Filled with joy, or perhaps provoked by Kaiya's enchanting howling, Seika let out a long, mystical howl, letting herself be shielded in flames. She looked down to see Kaiya looking up at her with gentle eyes. Seika smiled as she slowly flew back down to her.

Well; what do we do now?

Seika tilted her head, watching as the wise fae's smile slowly vanished into her dark fur. Kaiya gazed at Seika with solemn eyes.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya's happiness disappeared. She was not sure what to do; she just knew that she had to find out about her past. She had to help Seika somehow, too. Kaiya thought for a moment before responding.

You must learn more of your powers; of what you can do and how to control your power.

Kaiya looked into Seika's gentle, young eyes. Something about the wolf was familiar to Kaiya, but she couldn't tell what.

.:Seika:.

Powers?

Seika asked in confusion. She then thought back to when she was shielded in a ball of fire, and when the hot ash came from her wings.

You mean; you mean the fire?

Seika asked Kaiya.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya nodded.

You need to understand your power; it's a part of you, and you need to be able to use it well. Okay; I will show you what to do with my powers, then you try and copy.

The star on her forehead began to glow silver, and a small swirling orb of silvery-blue light began to form before her. Soon, the orb looked like the one she had created right before finding Seika.

This is a simple Light Orb. You need to try and make an orb of fire, called a Fire Orb. Just think of creating a swirl of orange and red flames in your mind, then focus your energy on making it.

.:Seika:.

Oh; ok,

Seika stated, thinking it was fairly simple. She closed her eyes and thought of the fiery orb that had surrounded her earlier. When she opened her eyes, a large ball of fire exploded from her forehead.

.:Kaiya:.

Good.

Kaiya remembered when she first learned of her powers. She had no one to help her for she was alone, so it was much harder. Kaiya was somewhat amazed at how easily Seika was controlling her power. It had taken her many more times to even create a small orb of light.

Next, you must control the orb so that you can move it around yourself, like so.

The orb of silver light floated around Kaiya and spun, the light produced by it creating images of stars on the snow-covered ground.

.:Seika:.

Umm... like this?

Seika asked. This time, she didn't close her eyes, and little sparks of flame emerged from the ash marks on her forehead. They slowly swirled around her loosely, then swirled more quickly and tighter, before engulfing her in fire.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya jumped back away from Seika as a huge eruption of flames surrounded Seika, making it so that she was not visible. Kaiya, surprised and frightened at this sudden event, shielded part of her face with her large feathered wings and just stared at the huge shield of burning hot flames surrounding her friend. What's happening? Kaiya thought. Instead of creating a Fire Orb and simply moving it around her, Seika had made a shield of fire. How is she doing this?

.:Seika:.

Blinded by the fire, Seika withdrew some power, and noticed Kaiya shielding herself with her wing. Realizing that Kaiya wasn't resistant to fire, Seika reduced her power altogether, then sat down quietly.

I-I-I'm so-sorry..

She stuttered, hanging her head in shame.

.:Kaiya:.

As the fire disappeared completely, Kaiya lowered her wings and looked at Seika as she sat down and looked to the ground.

That... was amazing..." Kaiya whispered.

Kaiya felt as if she was not needed. That Seika was actually teaching her in a way. Kaiya sighed, wishing that she wasn't so sad about this. It was great for Seika, but it meant that she was not as significant. Kaiya looked up to the sky. The sun was rising over the eastern mountains, creating a beautiful pink and orange light that reflected off of the clouds near by. It was morning, and the snow was beginning to melt.

.:Seika:.

Noticing Kaiya's sudden sadness, Seika became confused.

What's wrong? Is it something I did?

She asked. Seika was very worried; she felt connected to Kaiya, and could sense she was hurting in some way.

I remember," Seika began, "When I was younger, someone was looking after me. I don't remember who though, but they were very powerful. I remember one day, I had ventured too far away from home, and this hideous monster attacked me. But, of course, they wouldn't let anything happen to me, and my protector attacked the beast. Unfortunately, they were hurt from the creature. The last thing I can remember up until now is that I saw them being hurt, and then my whole world was fiery. Then darkness covered it..." Seika trailed. .:Kaiya:.

Kaiya listened to Seika's story. When she was done speaking, Kaiya sighed again and looked over at Seika.

I don't remember anything of my past; the last thing that happened that I do recall is waking up over there under that willow by the lake. That was three years ago. During those three years I had to fend for myself. I learned of my power after one year of waking up under the willow, when this creature out of no where attacked me and all of a sudden I had created a flash of light, scaring the beast away. That's when I began to learn of my powers, although I still don't know all that I can do.

.:Seika:.

Seika listened with interest.

I don't remember where I came from... I mean; lately.. I don't remember much; just that one time... But, anyways, where to now?

Seika bounced around excitedly; her stomach making loud noises.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya realized that Seika was hungry, and that she her self hadn't eaten since two days ago.

Do you remember how to hunt?" Kaiya asked.

.:Seika:.

Seika laughed.

Hunt? I don't even remember yesterday!" Seika stated. .:Kaiya:.

Kaiya realized how disoriented she had looked when she found her the night before.

Well, you might as well learn now," Kaiya said. "But when hunting, you must not use your powers. If you did, it would unbalance the chances of nature. Follow me, and be as quiet as you can.

Kaiya knew that it was usually at night time that you would hunt, but she needed to teach Seika, so it would be somewhat easier to hunt during the early morning. Kaiya headed towards the woods away from the cliff side, and ran into the darkness of the tall trees.

.:Seika:.

Seika, figuring it would be quicker to catch up to the speedy fae, lifted herself up into the air and with one swoop, had caught up to a displeased Kaiya.

What?" Seika questioned. .:Kaiya:.

If you want to actually catch something, you mustn’t make any sudden movements like that for it will scare the prey away. You stay here and watch, okay?" Kaiya explained. She felt as though she was being a bit hard on the young fae, but she had to teach her the correct way to hunt. Kaiya ran deeper into the forest, not realizing the danger she had just run into...

.:Seika:.

Somewhat hurt, Seika stayed in place, her gaze following the bright fae.

I..I don't think you... should go in there....

Seika managed to cough up as Kaiya ran out of view.

Feeling unsafe, Seika summoned just enough fire to envelop her; she didn't feel safe at the edge of the forest.

I don't think I'd feel safe in the forest, either.." She mumbled to herself, sitting down.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya hadn't heard what Seika had said. She was too busy with her own thoughts to hear anything, or sense the danger in the forest. She was thinking of her past; of everything she could remember, and the thought of why she couldn't remember anything before waking up under the willow by the lake. A stick cracked from somewhere within the forest and Kaiya froze, her ears perked and her eyes darting from tree to shadow. By the time she sensed the danger, it was too late; he had found her.

.:Seika:.

Seika had heard something in the forest and became quite concerned.

Kaiya!?

She yelled, eager to help, but not wanting to enter the forest.

.:Kaiya:.

The creature watched Kaiya as she stared at him. "Seigh..." she whispered, not showing her fear.

The creature stepped out from the cover of the trees, revealing himself. It was a large wolf, all black with no wings. His eyes were red; a long, ugly scar ran from his left ear and across his right eye. On his forehead was a small, barely visible star-like marking of gray.

.:Seika:.

Getting anxious, Seika began jumping around at the edge of the mysterious forest, yelping.

Kaiya! KAIYA!" She yelled.

Suddenly, she realized Kaiya probably couldn't hear her. Gathering the courage, Seika bolted into the forest, wanting to find Kaiya and get out as quickly as possible.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya became nervous as she heard the familiar sound of Seika running towards them. She did not want her brother to see her; he would surely kill Seika.

Kaiya," Seigh sneered, not yet hearing Seika coming towards them.

Why are you here, Seigh?" Kaiya replied calmly yet sternly, surprising herself at how grown up she sounded. 'Seika; please stay away. Do not come closer. It's too dangerous...' Kaiya thought.

.:Seika:.

Kaiya?!

Seika called out in panic. She couldn't lose Kaiya; she was the only ally; the only friend she had; she couldn't lose her.

Reaching a small, dark clearing in the woods, she saw Kaiya, surrounded by little flecks of light. Seika was completely oblivious to the dark shadow that stood only a few feet away from her.

I'm so glad you're alright! Are you hurt? What happened? I heard you howl, and--

Seika cut herself short as she backed away from Kaiya, releasing a strong force field of fire. Emerging, she saw what had provoked her to do that.

.:Kaiya:.

No..." Kaiya whispered as she saw Seika, her fear showing. Seigh smirked and glanced over at Seika. He squinted his red eyes, the gray star on his face emitting a dull, black glow.

So; who's this? A friend of yours, sister? She's only a kid." he looked back at Kaiya, humor in his eyes. Clo

Annoyed by this dark figure's ego, Seika simply flapped her wings and sent flames raining down on him.

Only a kid?"She asked, smirking.

Seigh shook of the flames, burn marks in his fur. His eyes narrowed with anger as he glared at her. He growled at Seika before lunging at her. Frightful, Seika stood her ground and emitted a large fireball, taking Seigh out.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya watched in horror as Seika created a fireball and shot it at Seigh, making him fall to the ground in surprise.

Seika; don't... No!" Kaiya yelled as Seigh got up from the ground and snarled loudly at Seika.

Is that all you got, kid?" he growled angrily. He then smiled evilly at Seika and looked at Kaiya, stepping towards her.

You, Kaiya; you were trying to protect Seika, weren't you? Telling her to 'stay away.

Kaiya stared at him fearfully. How had he known I had thought that?

.:Seika:.

Seigh smirked, turning to his sister. "I know what you're thinking.

He snarled to Kaiya, walking towards a fearful Seika. "K-kaiya? H-how do yo-you know h-him?" Seika stuttered, backing away from Seigh who was slowly advancing towards her.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya felt the rush of pain and fear run through her whole body and she trembled. Why is Seigh here? How had he found me? I must do something; but what..? Kaiya felt sick and weak. Seika was in trouble, but Seigh was too powerful for her to take on. And he was her brother. She remembered that day when he had become evil; different. Seigh had attacked her. She had defended herself, creating a flash of light and scaring him off. Kaiya hadn't seen him until now. There was no time to think. She had to do something, and fast. The star-shaped marking on her forehead began to glow brilliant silver, and she leaped in front of Seika, blocking Seigh from reaching the scared fae. Kaiya spread out her black-feathered wings so that Seika was completely out of sight from her brother.

Do not do this, Seigh. Seika has nothing to do with you. I do not know why you are attacking us. You are my brother; what happened to you on that day two years ago?" Kaiya asked softly. She was calm, but she still felt a tremor of fear inside her.

.:Seika:.

Seika had had her eyes shut, fearful of Seigh. She could sense he was powerful; she could also sense Kaiya's strength, equal to Seigh's. She was unable to detect her power though.

Opening her eyes, she saw Kaiya in front of her, fighter's stance, wings spread, and flecks of light around her getter larger; brighter. Getting to her feet, she peered under Kaiya's wing at a fierce-looking Seigh.

.:Kaiya:.

Seigh stood there for a moment, a brief glint of sadness in his eyes. He then shook his head and the anger returned.

What business is that of you, Kaiya? I chose to run away." he snapped. He stepped foreword, only a foot away from Kaiya. A black orb of swirling darkness began to form before Seigh, little sparks of faint white emitting from it.

Seigh; listen to me. Why did you run away? What was the real reason? Tell me, brother." Kaiya replied kindly. Small, silvery-blue stars began forming around Kaiya, circling slowly about Seika and herself.

.:Seika:.

Now less fearful and more annoyed by Seigh's attitude, Seika stood up beside Kaiya, then walked up to Seigh. She noticed that along with the stars surrounding her and Kaiya, small pieces of hot ash began mixing with it. Startled by Seika's approach, Seigh back away for a moment, the ball of black vanishing. Seika simply stared him down, her eyes soft and gentle. She could feel as if something was trapped inside of him, like his true self was locked away inside an abyss of black.

Coming back to his senses, Seigh suddenly regained his weapon and released it on Seika, who was not injured by the blow, but was forced back several feet into the air. She spread her majestic black and red tipped wings, flapping back down to the ground slowly, her eyes fixed on Seigh.

.:Kaiya:.

Do not try to be soft with me, kid," Seigh warned.

Seigh; why do you not answer my question?" Kaiya asked again, her fear vanishing. Seigh eyed his sister before speaking menacingly.

Do you really want to know the truth? Why I had attacked you; why I had run?" he leaped forehead and knocked Kaiya to the ground, pinning her by the chest. She let him, staring up at him surely. The star on her forehead was glowing even brighter now, casting a white glow on Seigh.

.:Seika:.

Do you really want to know?" He snarled. "Do you want to know how I was scarred; how I was forced to live this way?" He leaned in closer to Kaiya; she could feel his breath on her face.
Do you know what it's like to be forced to have to...

Seigh trailed of as he glanced up at Seika, fire swirling around her, ready to attack at the moment that Kaiya could be hurt.

.:Kaiya:.

Seigh looked back down at Kaiya, his eyes full of rage. "All your life you have been happy, being the daughter of Shakira and Kai, the leaders of the Sapphire Star Pack. But I have not. You see; I'm not your true brother, Kaiya," Seigh growled as he said this. "I was found by your parents and taken into the pack, treated as your brother. I was an outcast in the group. I always got into trouble, being the only wolf having the element of darkness and without wings." Kaiya was shocked.

How do you know of this? How come I do not remember?" she asked angrily. A taunting smile crept onto Seigh's face. "Because, Kaiya; I made it so that you forgot your life. I made you forget everything.

.:Seika:.

Seika noticed Kaiya's rage build up when Seigh said that. She quickly launched him off of her with her hind legs, bolting upright.

Kaiya; what are you doing?

Seika asked quietly, getting a deadly glare from Seigh. She immediately surrounded herself with fire, smirking at him. She then turned her attention back to Kaiya who created a strong wind of light that swirled around the large opening that began getting brighter and brighter as she growled at Seigh.

Kaiya?" Seika asked softly.

.:Kaiya:.

Seigh growled loudly at Seika, a vortex of black magic forming around him. He lifted his head and howled, the sound eerie and low. His eyes began glowing red and the gray star on his forehead was disappearing so that only a bit of it was still visible against his jet-black coat. "And you, Seika," Seigh snarled, seeing Seika become frightened as he said her name, "You; you do not know who you are, do you? Well, I know. I know for you; not Kaiya; are my sister." At this, he lunged foreword and knocked Seika hard to the ground, his sharp white teeth bared.

.:Seika:.

With her reflexes, Seika quickly continued the slight roll backwards and lunged Seigh off of her with her powerful hind legs. Getting up and shielding herself, she growled, "What!?

Seigh simply returned to his feet and snarled, grinning evilly. Seika was about to attack when a great beam of bright light struck Seigh hard in the side, causing him to whimper.

.:Kaiya:.

Kaiya got to her feet, spreading her glistening black-feathered wings. Her sapphire blue eyes showed anger as she glared at Seigh. Bright silver light was surrounding Kaiya and the star on her forehead was burning a brilliant blue.

I do not know why you are attacking us, Seigh." Kaiya paused and rustled her wings, one white feather floating down to the ground so it lay right below Seigh's feet. "What have you become? Why have you been lying to me for so long?

She stepped towards the wolf of darkness so that she was standing right before him. Silver and gold light began circling Seigh. Kaiya raised her head and howled, the sound high and clear. The call echoed through the forest as rays of yellow sunlight poured down through the trees onto Kaiya.

Seigh..." Kaiya whispered.

.:Seika:.

Kaiya looked to the ground, fighting back tears. Seika turned her attention to Seigh who was enveloped in a black wind. He snarled as he leapt at Kaiya.

NO!!!

Seika cried out as she leapt into the path of Seigh's attack. She was thrown back hard into a tree when he unleashed his powers. Seika whimpered in pain as she hit the tree and fell to the ground.
