Memorable Quote: "I don't know who I am!"
A Note: No, I'm not actually a cat! The picture is a representation of myself and appears often in artwork that might otherwise feature a human "me". She's called "Rhiow".
I have been on Neopets for somewhere around 5-6 years, I'm not quite sure how long it's been! When I first started, I was in love with scorchios, gelerts and kougras, and had many of them. When Krawks were released, they became an obsession of mine! Dragons have always been one of my loves, and my first pet was dragon-based… a scorchio (never was a fan of shoyru!). So naturally I loved Krawks as well. Yet, there were better things to come, and I hadn't even realized it yet…
Fast forward through time to the release of draiks and ixis. I was instantly in love with both species, draiks for obvious reasons… and I still don't know why I love ixis so much, but I continue to covet them both. I actually managed to snag two ixis and two draiks when they were both limited edition and were being released to the public. Sadly, I only have one of those pets still, a Create-A-Pet draik, WanderingPast, named after a friend's AOL screen-name because I was trying to think quickly!
Sadly I can't show you the other draik because my starter accounts were frozen. They were all iced because of voting with them all in the Beauty Contest, something I didn't know was wrong at the time. Sadly, being young and naïve doesn't get you unfrozen! So, I started over. My account draikplush is the only one left from the time when I was iced, with all new pets on it… except for WanderingPast!
I have only had two accounts frozen since that incident, and one of them was draikplush. As you can see, that was a mistake, and the account has since been returned to me, thank goodness! The other account, one by the name of effect, was frozen because someone else tried to access it, so to protect it, TNT froze it. Sadly they won't let even me back into the account.
If I were chosen to adopt Rauch, she would likely go on my account o_tigerpawz_o. I in no way, shape, or form want to adopt Rauch for the draik forum avatar. I'm not an avid collector of avatars, and already have the 'Hatched!' avatar on all of my accounts.
To be honest, I have more accounts than I'm supposed to. I in no way use them to get "ahead" in the game, but simply as a place to house pets (my characters!). There are some accounts I have that have little to no use (lab accounts, accounts I can't get into anymore because of the birthday feature) and for the sake of neatness I won't list them since I don't really use them. If my accounts make you uneasy, I understand. I hope they won't affect your decision, but if they do I'll understand why. I'll try to make navigating them as simple as possible.

On a more personal note, two of my passions in life are art and roleplaying. I thoroughly enjoy both. If you're interested, my art gallery is at rhiow.deviantart.com.
Sorry if my introduction went on and on! Continue reading for information on my concept of Rauch.

A More In-Depth Look…
My concept of Rauch is that she is one of many 'gods', deities of this-or-that… her particular place to reign is the Night Sky.
I have others that are part of this train of thought, and I will introduce you to them later. First, about Rauch…
Rauch is what most would call the "Milky Way" as they look up into the night sky—little do those people know, they're looking at a living thing, and not just billions and billions of stars! Due to the immensity of her caretaker task in the night sky, she has no set size, and instead changes size when it's needed. Her dimension is something that the normal person doesn't comprehend—even if she stretches on for hundreds of miles, she still manages to not disturb anything unless she means to. Perhaps she loses her solidity while traveling in space, or perhaps she's simply graceful—by whatever means, she gets her work done.
She is nearly older than time itself, a figment dreamed before most, and yet she is extremely modest. Despite being older and undoubtedly wiser than most, she never shows off her knowledge in a gloating manner. Also, in a strange quirk, she never refers to herself as "I", or "me". If a normal person were to say "I would like some more tea, thank you," she would say "This one would like some more tea, thank you,". Another example; "Why are you interrupting my work?" becomes "Why are you interrupting this one's work?".
Rauch is a connoisseur of all things worldly and other-worldly—though her favorite beverage is tea. Brown tea, green tea, white tea… color and flavor matters not. She sometimes holds 'tea parties', in a sense, for other 'gods' or creatures she's come across in her travels and has taken a liking to.
Rauch enjoys all things artistic. She herself dabbles in painting and haikus, though her greatest works are displayed in the night sky for all to see—constellations. It takes a trained eye to see the magnificence of her artwork, but those that have mastered the technique are blessed with a gift. Laid on the dark canvas of the sky, billions of stars… some sheltered, shaped, and structured into things that weren't there before.
Rauch has a few interesting features that I would like to explain in more depth. I'll start with her eyes.
Rauch's eyes appear hollow and cold to most that look into them, because of the strange monotonous quality they have. However eerie they may appear, they are an asset to their user: her eyes allow her complex vision while drifting in space. Rauch sees what others don't, thin strings that tie everything together. Every star, every planet, every living or non-living thing. The strings connecting everything are composed of energy, and Rauch is driven to arrange things in a sort of energy feng shui. Her eyes allow her to do that.
Rauch's long claws make her tasks even easier. If her claws were stubby she would be unable to arrange things in the way she pleased. Energy strings would be impossible to pluck, stars and constellations would be a hassle to move.
Rauch's hooves seem strange and useless, but few question the forms that gods take. Even stranger, when Rauch walks among mortals on the surface of a planet her hooves spark with each step. A common sight is Rauch, trailing wisps of space dust and sparkles that have sparked from her hooves.
I would like to introduce you to the other 'gods' and beings that Rauch may come to know... or in other words, some of my pets (not all of them, just those I can see Rauch directly relating to!). The text exerpts will be from Rauch's point of view.
Cylif
This is Cylif. This one does not much care for her outlook towards her son, though this one chooses to let sleeping dogs lie as he is a very nice person regardless. She is good for chatter when this one wishes to chatter, and while she is very small and this one must be careful to not flatten her, this one enjoys having tea with her non-the-less.
Kallden
Kallden is a very nice young man. This one recalls that he is minor god of hour glasses, major god of Masquerade Ball. This one does not know why his mother and father treat him poorly, but this one does not ask while he does not tell. This one hopes she may attend his Masquerade again, as it is a very good time and this one meets lots of new people. This one regrets that the Masquerade is only once a year, this one would like to see Kallden more often.
Lebuki
This is Lebuki. This one was reminded that he is a time-controlling god, god of Hourglasses he says. He and Cylif are Kallden's parents. Once again this one does not agree with their parenting style but it is not this one's choice. This one shall not meddle. This one isn't particularly fond of Lebuki as he only has eyes for himself, and will not sit and chat with this one at all.
Calvanta
This is Calvanta. This one knows she is not a deity, but this one likes her anyway. She seems so tragic and confused, this one loves her like a daughter because of it. She is quiet and timid but this one does not mind… perhaps this one may coax her out of her shell one day and discover all that has happened to her.
If I was accepted to adopt Rauch, i'd be honored to keep the petpet and petpetpet already attached to her. Here's a little bit about them from Rauch's point of view.
This one cares for a tiny star, one that ails and can not care for itself. It is a special being that whispers inspirational things in this one's ears, keeping this one motivated when this one is feeling down. In return for it's generosity, this one allows it to shelter beneath this one's horns during strange disturbances—asteroid showers, among other things.
This one adores fireflies! This one would keep them around all the time if this one could. This fellow is special as he can survive where the others can't, and this one is grateful for his presence. Like Nova the tiny star, he helps this one along, by providing light where there is none to be found. This one finds him truly inspirational.
You may have noticed that I have a lot of draiks already. 12 to be exact. I wanted to take the time to introduce you to all of them-- they all have complex histories and designs, and have had a lot of work put into them. Draiks, because they resemble dragons, are my favorite Neopet. I think they give me the most oppertunity to express my creativity, because in my mind, a dragon can be anything. I'll introduce them to you in the order that I created or otherwise obtained them with a brief "neopet" history on each, and a glimpse into what they're like.
Caslean was my first draik (not counting Smidgitz, a draik I mentioned in my introduction). She was created with a Ghost Draik Morphing Potion that was a Christmas present to me from two of my very best friends. She is one of my older and more complex characters, with a long roleplay history that affects how she now responds to situations and other characters. To give you a brief synopsis of what she's gone through… she's died at least twice, and is currently at a state of "living". She was dead when I first created her (ghost, yes?) and was painted cloud later when she "returned to life" in roleplay. She died again when my account was frozen, which I'll explain further when I explain another draik. She was resurrected again when my account was returned to me and has since been caring for her son, "Jeremy".
Poisonary was the first draik I created with a potion that I bought myself. She was created with a Purple Draik Morphing Potion (back when they were buyable for 99,000 NP in player shops) with the intention of painting her skunk once the color was released. I sat on a skunk paint brush for at least a year before the color was made live, and Poisonary is the (thus far) undisputed first skunk draik. Character-wise, Poisonary is a very sweet but disturbed girl. Due to her love's death (Danteno—his player left Neopets and the draik was later frozen), she's never been the same as she used to be. She is however, the owner and single employee of the DPS, the "Draik Postal Service". The DPS delivers letters like a normal postal service. It's mostly roleplay-only, but for a time I actually created letter images that I sent to others when requested. With offsite-linking no longer easy to do however, that practice had to be stopped.
Kallden was my next, and first male draik. I created him when Draik Morphing Potions were beginning to inflate, though were still relatively cheap. His design was originally a scribble on my math notes, though today he is one of my most widely recognized and loved characters. For good reason. Kallden is by far one of my favorite creations, and has been spoiled over the years with roleplay and art. He is a good example of the blood, sweat, and tears that I tend to put into a good character, and he's gotten places because of it. Over the years he has grown and changed with me, but he was the forerunner for those that came after him—the gods and goddesses that I've since created, like my concept for Rauch. The idea fascinates me and so the characters involved are constantly evolving and becoming more complex. I've mentioned Kallden from Rauch's point of view earlier in the application, so I'll move on to the next draik for now. I could talk about him and how he relates to Rauch for hours.
Cilensia is the original feline-like dragon I've created, and the template for a species that pops up in my artwork, and another draik that I've obtained along the way. She's controversial with most Neopet things, because she doesn't look like a draik in most people's eyes (including the BC judges!). I can understand why, but as I stated earlier, I think that a draik can be anything. When canine-like oriental draiks were becoming popular due to the movie "Spirited Away" I was inspired to create a feline-like one instead. Cilensia was created soon after. Cilensia is another of my draiks that has a rich roleplaying history. She's less than pleasant to be around, but then again, most wild animals don't make the best of company, and that's exactly what she is.
Calvanta was a replacement character of Caslean during the six months that my account was frozen. A good friend of mine was kind enough to gift her potion to me when my account was iced, and it's a good deed that I'll never forget. Though, I was unsure about creating a carbon-copy of Caslean, so Calvanta evolved into something related, but entirely different. Most pictures of Calvanta feature her as an "anthro", a human-like dragon, but that is not her true form. The later pictures of her as a blue, serpentine quad dragon are her true form. She's naturally an aquatic dragon, but because of some events involving many of my other draiks, she was bound to the humanoid form for several years with no recollection of what she'd once been. The thing that bound her to her form was a part of Caslean's soul. It's a very long and complicated story, though if you'd ever like me to explain it to you in more detail I'd be happy to tell you the tale.
WanderingPast is Caslean's son. He was hatched still, so he is not actually himself, but the ghost of himself. Caslean loves him regardless, and she loves very few things in life. He's a trickster and tends to pull very nasty pranks on others. He also does all of his mother's dirty work with gusto, as 'any good son should'. He's very protective of her, despite the strangeness of their relationship.
Xhep is a tunneling species of draik that was designed long before I could actually create him. He's immense in size (not quite as big as Rauch can get, not by a long shot), though he spends most of his time under the ground in extensive tunneling systems. He is cold-blooded, which is generally the only reason he ever surfaces. The need to warm his blood brings him up from the depths, and that's usually where he meets others (or well, tries to avoid stepping on them). He's very quiet and reclusive for the most part.
Chardreau is another draik that was designed long before he was created. His species is related to Calvanta's species, but is the land-based evolution. Chardreau, like Xhep and Calvanta, is immense in size. He is the largest of my draiks, excluding the sizes Rauch could stretch to. He is the source of most of the complications in my other draik's lifes, though they are unaware of it. Chardreau is a meddler, it's his "job"… to try and correct things that would otherwise go even more horribly wrong. He doesn't like to speak about what he does with anyone, because he knows that they wouldn't understand why he tampered with lifes that were not his own.
Muirin was created with the help of another of my best friends, as a secret joke between the two of us that blossomed into something more abstract. The royal girl draiks cracked us up when we first saw them, so we decided we both just had to have one. Her's is named Verrilo, but she's since left Neopets. Muirin was my half of the royal girl duo—Verrilo was more of an exotic dancer… Muirin lives off of the streets. While the two were very different, their purpose was the same. She's a bit Neopets-inappropriate beyond this point, so if you'd like to know more about Muirin, please feel free to ask me.
Cylif is Kallden's mother. She is very small—her head is roughly the size of a honeybee. She's mentioned earlier in this application from Rauch's point of view. She's very narcisstic and generally treats other people as if they're lesser than her. She isn't as likely to talk down to them in the cruel way that Kallden's father does, instead she patronizes and would likely "baby talk" to someone very intelligent to get on their nerves. In her eyes, there is no being more perfect than herself.
Leithyrazuki is another draik that was designed long before I actually obtained him. He's a chameleon species of draik, and thus changes colors at will (or against his will, even). His emotions often affect what color he is, and sometimes when he has good enough control over himself, he can camouflage to avoid being seen. He's very small, and does mercenary work for Chardreau—consider Leith the "getting his hands dirty" kind of guy.
Lexianea has gone through several designs, though I've finally given her one that suits her. On an unrelated roleplay site, I created a schizophrenic character named "Pandora", and have since given this design and character to Lexianea. She is the same species as Cilensia and is similarly foul-tempered, though that's were their similarities end. Lexianea has a personality based on each of the seven deadly sins, and switches from one to the other without warning.
