a new start

It's New Year's Eve! I'm so excited for the new year. For a new start, I decided to start a revamp of my portfolio (I probably should've started it yesterday, too) so that I can be all fresh and new for a new year of neopets, friends, and completing my goals. Sooo excited! ^^ I finished my app for Zilore and sent it in yesterday, and I'm super nervous, especially since it's my first app ever. Mah. I'm just so full of excitment. I have so many ideas and revisions I want to make, so I'm going to get around to updating this page with all of my information!

applying

So I'm going to be applying for Zilore the halloween kougra! I have a really great story idea for her that ties in with some of my existing pets. I think I'm going to be adopting out Darc and Dip, and instead I'm going to be adopting Zi (hopefully!), and morphing Ava into a plushie gnorbu (they are sooo cute), the story for which I've already come up with. That gives me 10 total permies (yaay), and a lot of pets to trade out! For painting and training, I'll probably be training Skies and painting/zapping the rest; I think that should be my January goal, along with the art challenge, which I may just partake in if people will accept my nasty MS Paint drawings as art (one of said drawings has been uploaded to the front page of my portfolio). In other news, I decided to go for just 1mil in 31 days, which means I have to earn only 32k a day. (:

Well, I decided that I'm not going to be gifting a Draik Egg anytime soon. =p I also fail at meeting my goals, so this week I want to catch up on my NP earning (and maybe get ahead), complete at least 2 lookups, complete one of my permie page goals, and transfer some pets around. Right now I'm thinking that I'll have 3 permies on my main and on subliminalisamazing, and 4 on missmaryadams, which leaves me two spaces for labbies there, as well as 8 more spots on my other two accounts, which means a total of 10 UFAs at a time. I think in January I need to focus on getting those pets to where people will want to adopt them. Also, I've decided about permies. Drea, Sparks, and Zi will probably go on my main. Cheik and Tria will go on Missmaryadams, with Hissa and Ava. Then my last three will stay where they are.

Considerations

Hi! So I've been really thinking about my pets, adn I know that I definitely want to keep all the pets on this account, as well as Jhaynn, Jeth, Kyncs, and Hissa. But my other 3 permies I'm not sure about, as I don't really like my story idea for them. I'm probably going to zap them once I get the lab map, and then adopt them out. If you're interested in Avalait, Darc_Wing, or Dippni, please tell me, I'd certainly be willing to give them to a guild member. In their place, I'm toying with the idea of getting a gnorbu and an xwee as I think they're super cute, but I can't think of a good story idea for them yet. So I'll still be considering that.

Also, I decided that I would only put about 150k a month towards my draik egg goal, so I can gift it in... about 5 years. Although I think that I'd like to gift in September, which means I have a couple months of catching up to do starting January. With the other neopoints I earn in 2012, I'm planning on getting all permies to final forms and getting two more lab maps, hopefully. It's going to be a very busy year. Off to go earn NP and work on permie stories and lookups!

revamped

Hello again! Fairly large gap in updating, sorry. In terms of news, I'm once again updating my portfolio with a big re-vamp. Of all my portfolio layouts, the one I had in May/June was my favorite, so I went back to this style of coding and made a few changes that have made this coding into something I really love. The color scheme is from That Kills Me, and the base coding is the guild's, so I can't claim much credit for this one. In other news I'm failing at my goals, except for my posts goal, so yeah. I'm thinking about changing the way I log my NPs to something I've seen on someone's portfolio. =p

Soo, not so much of a fail at updating this? =p Today is Saturday (thank god!) and I'm planning on going through my portfolio and making it a lot more organized, earning NPs, meeting some goals, and working on my pets. I /really/ need to be more responsible about earning NP if I'm gonna have 2mil by Christmas break. =/ Also, I'm going to be a kitty for halloween (I'm sure you didn't see that coming!), even though I'm going to theater&a party instead of trick-or-treating. Also, I want to get a couple UFA pets painted and get that page set up! Dx But I should probably focus on one project at a time. Finally, BIG thanks to Laurell for showing me how to fix my portfolio coding! (:

We're about halfway through the month and I'm just /now/ posting an october blog? Yeah, sorry. So far today I've earned about 50k, gotten an avatar, and done a bit of work on my portfolio here. I'm hoping to get everything up-to-date and then go work on my stories. I decided that it would be best for each month if I had a theme for my goals that month, such as pets, gallery, avatars, ect. Right now I think I want to focus on pets in November and pay-it-forward projects in December. (: On Monday I painted Cheik royal, thanks to a special anonymous donator (who I love soooo much), and I've looked at pet aesthetics and changed quite a few things, bumping up my total expense to about 47mil. I want deflation! D: And a big thanks to Eliza and Heather, both of whom donated to my gallery! (:

Sorry I haven't updated my blog in forever! I've been so busy with theater and school and trying to keep the rest of my portfolio up to date, as well as the Zapper's Bloc and processing applications, most of which Heather did this month because I didn't stay on top of it. =/ But tomorrow starts a new month and I hope to be more organized. I've already updated my portfolio with new monthly goals (a lot of them) and I've started several things already. Hopefully I can finish most (or even all of them) this month, because I failed horribly last month.
