Scalling stairs on a moutain top to Shenkuu, you feel a strong breeze. The wind sends a chill running through you spine, your hair stands up almost as if you were just stuck by lightening. It was cold, and you had to admitt that you were a bit lost. For hours on in, the only success that was made was taking another step on old wooden stair cases. It seemed they were leading no where, which in your case was terrible news. Skies grew darker, and night would soon engulf the rest of the sunlight that lingered around the edges of the cliff. You ponder to yourself what you should do for the night, but then you hear a tapping noise. Spinning around, your eyes take a gaze on a Lupe - a Shenkuu Lupe.

Kirureru: Oh wow..a strager on their way to Shenkuu...in this weather?! You must be insane. You'll never make it to the top before the strom comes. Don't you know how cold it gets the further you climb the moutain. Surely you must of heard of it in some sort of geography class. So instead of trying your luck with the grim reaper, why don't you just come with me. I usually go to a cave a little further up that's well hidden from you tourist; but please don't take offense to that.

You stare at the Lupe with a puzzled look. Out of nowhere came a furry talking wolf-like creature wearing armor. The cold must really be getting to you. But instead of questioning reality, you accept the Lupe's proposal and follow him the rest of the way to the cave.

Kirureru: Well since you will be staying the night with me, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Kirureru Nou Taku, and I am a warror for Shenkuu. If you like, you can call me by my nickname - Kir. Go ahead, relax and take your mind off things. In the mean time, I'll give you the inside story of my life. I mean come on! How many people do you know get to hear about a great warror's life.

From the Beginning

At the highest top of the moutain in Shenkuu, behind closed doors, laid a Lupess in larbor. Her honey brown eyes had rolled to the back of her skull, eyelids closed gently. During each contraction, she pushed. A Lupe, tall, bulky and scruffed up, stood watching over his love. This would be his first born, and he had hoped for a son. Pride, honor and dignity was a tradtition to pass on from father to son. And like any warrior, a father wanted a boy to be born and carry on his legacey. For many months the brute had prayed to the gods of life to grant his wishes. He promised them if they birthed him a son, that his son would serve as the greatest warrior Shenkuu has ever had. Though, has his prayers paid off? Another contraction hit the Lupess hard, her creamy yellow coat was matted from sweat. But all that was left was one more push, and then out came a pup...and it was a boy.

The gods have blessed me with a son!" bellowed Taku, the father of the new born.

Grasping on to a warm blanket, Fly, the mate, had wrapped it around her pup. Tucking it close to her body, she snuggled him. Soft lips curled in to a smile as this was a very memorable day for the couple. It was their first child, and they couldn't of been ever so fortunate.

Watching her pup whimper as he stumbled around the blanket, Fly had thought of a name. "Lets call him Kirureru".

Taku nodded in agreement, and added in more to his name. "Lets put Nou Taku at the end. Everyone must know who he is the son of".

Yes, of coarse. Lets call him Kirureru Nou Taku" Fly whispered as she curled in to a tight ball and nestled with her son.

Days gew shorter, and the sun rose faster each morning. Everyday Kirureru would become stronger as he followed in his father's foot steps. Taku took his son with pride, and he tought his boy everything he knew. All through growing up, Kirureru was put in to training school for pups, and he always over shadowed his classmates. There were a lot of skill hidden in such a tiny body. But it wasn't to long intil Kirureru was able to finally accompany his father on a mission.

Kirureru! Come here son".

Approaching his father stealthly, Kirureru crouched down beside him. "So what do we have this time? A theif, a spy or maybe a witness".

Taku shook his head. "It is neither. We have another warrior to handle today. However, this is your time to do it alone..

WHAT!!" gasped Kirureru. "Dad, I have never gone against another warrior. My skills have only been tested on lower classed trespassers. I'm not ready for this".

None sense!" growled Taku, "I will be watching from a distance just in case anything happens. You'll only learn if you do this alone".

There was no point in arguing with his father, Kirureru would not be able to win. So he just gave out a sigh and accepted his fate. The only thing Kirureru could do now was hope his father was right, that and give this mission all he has. Taku then stood up and trotted up to the base of a hill that over looked the clearing the trespasser was in. Kirureru had headed in the oposite direction planing to use the hill as an obstacle and blocking in his opponet.

If I end up dead, I am going to come back and haunt my father...'Kirureru had thought as he chuckled to his humerous imagination.

Now reaching the end of the hill, Kirureru took in a deep breath and crawled closer to his enemy. Reaching his stike point, he clsoed his eyes and wished mercy upon his soul. Opening them back up, he stared down his prey and bolted after them. Taken by the element of surprise, the trespasser just stood in fear. Thrusting his weight off the grassy plain, Kirureru tackled the intruder. Both came crashing down to the earth.

With a fearsome growl, Kirureru gave out a warning. "Leave this place at once, or I will be forced to take your life.

Oh hohoho. So you think a tackle is gonna scare me off, do ya!" Turning to his right, the oppenent took out a heavy blade. "Let me show you how Altador fights, boy..".

Lunging forward, the Altadorian Lupe striked, his blade slicing into Kirureru's leather straps. It was a close call for Kirureru, but thankfully it was a miss. Reaching towards his left side, Kirureru pulled out his spear. Gripping it tightly in his jaws, he rushed forward towards the outsider. It was his turn to show Altador what Shenkuu was made of.

Not intentionally stabbing the enemy, Kirureru thrusted the spear head in to the soil and used the pole to help catapult him forward. Zooming accross the ground, Kirureru hit the Altadorian Lupe with a high kick. Spining around, he removed the spear from the ground and hit the Lupe again with a combo. Falling to the floor, the Lupe looked up at him.

Please, please spare me my life. I am so sorry I ever under estimated you. I promise to leave at once, just please let me live!" he blubbered.

I can not let you live. It is tradition to Shenkuu to destroy anyone who doesn't yield to our warnings! Losing your life is a result of your stupidity." shouted Kirureru.

Yes, I understand. But it is best if you let me live...." A sly smile pierced the Altadorian's lips.

KIRURERU!" Taku rushed down from his hiding spot and jumped in front of an attack.

Tearing through his chest was the heavy sword the Altadorian Lupe had dropped. He had brought two more assistance with him, and they had ambushed the two Shenkuu warriors.

NOOOOO!!" Blood stained Kirureru's paws as he hurried over to his father. "Dad...dad please stay with me..".

Rushing off like a pack of scavengers were the Altadorian Lupes. They were successful in their mission - to kill Shenkuu's top warrior.

Son, you must not worry about me. Do not let them get away. It is your mission! I promise I will not die in vain." Taku's eyes faded slowly. There was no hope for him now.

Tears rolled down Kirureru's cheeks as he tried keeping his father awake. "No you can't go! What about mom, you wife..What will she do with out you! What will I do without you...".

Slipping away to the next relem, Taku passed away.

Coming home stained in blood, Kirureru stumbled into the house. He was exhausted from carrying his father to the warrior memorial where he would be burried with a proper ceremony. Searching for his mother, he noticed she was fast asleep in her den. Her body was curled next to the blankets Taku had slept on, and she usually dozed off waiting for his return home.

Hanging his head low, Kirureru padded over next to his mother. Leaning in towards her, he rubbed up against her, hugging her one last time. Turning around, Kirureru left the den. But before leaving, he looked back once more.

I love you mom, and I'm sorry I couldn't save him...".

That was the last time Kirureru has ever seen his mother, and now he travels to Altador to get his revenge.

Family and Friends

HarlaDar is a Shenkuu Water Draik, and he's also one of my best friends. Even though we are not of the same species, I still consider him as my brother. HarlaDar is a brave soul and would always go out of his way to help one in need. Never have I seen him deny anyone of assistance. Even when we first met, he had always been there for me..and I was just a complete stranger at the time. Now we have grown close, and I don't know where I would be with out his help. Oh, and just a little tip. Just because he is a water Draik does not mean he can not breath out fire. I, sadly, learned that the hard way. Apparently he has the ability to breath out fire under the water as well. But dont ask me how that works because I am not so sure myself. If you want to know about that little trick, then you should go find HarlaDar and ask him. Who knows, maybe he will even give you a demonstration. If you plan on searching for him, take a look around Shenkuu. He will never be in the town, he usually likes to linger around the forest instead. But I must say, if you ever do meet HarlaDar. Well...you have yourself a friend for life.
