Take care, guest, before you disturb the rest of Khobrenna the Ancient.

She last lived many thousands of years ago in the Lost Desert. She loved her brother Khobrall above all things, and together they were leaders of their tribe.

When a royal shoyru came to their lands, Khobrenna was jealous of the favours accorded to the stranger by Khobrall. She thought he marvelled unduly at the Lady's magic and prowess in war.

Khobrenna determined her revenge. She worked a magic of her own, found in a dark and secret book. The spell claimed that once worked, the spellcaster would never die. Armed with her invulnerability, Khobrenna challenged Iolayne to an exhibition of skills, with the winner to be judged by her brother.

Iolayne realised too late the hissi's plan, and to defend her own life was forced to destroy her opponent. But Khobrenna could not die. She was refined into pure spirit. Condemned by the tribe for violence against one of their number, the shoyru left that realm forever.

In time, Khobrall died, and Khobrenna realised her doom. She drifted over the sands in despair for many years, before finding her way at last to the ancient tower on Dark Forest Path.

Khobrenna still cannot understand Iolayne's longevity, and for her pride, she mentions it to no-one. The two women know more of one another's mysteries than any other in Neopia.

They are no longer enemies but they will never be friends.
