Thot---God--of--Wisdom--and--Writting
Welcome guest to my little home in the desert. I am a Qasalan desert lupe, a trader by profession and a mystic at heart. You may have heard of me perhaps as you traveled to this city that I had a very diverse store, or that my twin sister held amazing performances at her theater. You may have even heard I spoke the words of our patron gods. Well, guest, I would like you to consider all these things like you would a sandstorm; cover your eyes and walk on, blind, and maybe the wind will guide you in the right direction. Have some faith, have some courage; if you never step into the storm then you may never figure out its mystery.

Family

Djoukhetsu - Djou is my beautiful twin sister, the only true family that I have. She is an entertainer; Djou performs on stages for the city by dancing and playing music and is often out on the hunt for others to join her for money. Her and I are very close, sharing living quarters and a business together. She is very social and cultured; always a sight for sore eyes. She inspires me and keeps me entertained, as she should! To Djou, my life and hard work.

Atsu - My friendly selket! Though some have asked me why I chose this little bug for a petpet, none know the extent of his intelligence and stamina. I take him on every trip and he often gives me wise advice on my purchases and directions. His name means "Twin", appropriately named as I found him with my sister.

Friends

Emeraldius - A beautiful lady. We do not speak often, but share a few words here and there. I send her gifts when I can and letters, and she does the same. I've known her since I came into the city and always look forward to her presence.

Nathifra - How tormented and pained this female is. I cannot express the pity and sorrow I have felt for her since the moment she stumbled before me, but I hope she will accept the kindness I am giving her. She thinks she is so horrible and useless.. I know in my heart she is more than that.

Temple of Ma'at

Although my time there has come to an end, I learned much and suggest anyone seeking refuge and companionship should visit the Temple.

The Gods

My true life's work is dedication to our patron gods. Many neopets have forgotten the ancient lore and tradition of ritual to our gods and I have spent most of my life studying text and questioning my neighbors on tales of the gods and their importance. Below I've made a brief list of a few of the gods and their importance.

: He is the sun God that rises and sets each day. Ra (fire pteri) is the most important God to many (and myself) because his is the link of all people under the heavens. Ra travels the sky in his boat each day to battle his rival and link all the desert kingdoms and peoples in his journey. His death is a great sacrifice for us.

Nut (starry meerca) is the Goddess of the sky, arching her body over the Earth in order to create a canopy with her starry dress. She consumes Ra when he sets below the horizon and in the morning gives birth to him again. Her hands and feet extend to the horizon and represent the four cardinal points.

: Though considered by some the God of the Dead, Anubis (shadow lupe) is really the God of the Underworld, judgement for the afterlife. Anubis guides souls through the underworld to judge the weight of their hearts to the weight of a feather. He is associated with lupes and embalming, judgement and guidance of the soul to the afterlife.

The God of the Dead and husband to Isis, he is who Anubis sends the souls to after being judged. Death being considered the stability of life, Osiris (ghost zafara) creates that link of life and death and the rebirth of life. He once was a living god, it is interesting to notice, and the story goes that he died and now reigns the underworld.

: The God of Chaos, Seth (darigan gelert) is the wrathful god of war, storms, and misfortune. There are many stories told about Seth, but if one is having a problem with devastation or need a blessing of calmness, one must pray to Seth. He is also considered the great betrayer of Osiris and the Throne.

Isis (faerie lenny) is the Wife of Osiris and his feminine counterpart; most often represented as the maternal/feminine figure. She is a protector of the people and taught us about medicines. She is one of the rare winged Gods of the desert. Isis is a major source of the Pharoh's power, and aids lost souls on earth who need to find hidden information, especially inside themselves.

: Horus (cloud pteri) is a powerful Sky God that is the son of Osiris and the avenger of his murderer when Osiris went to the underworld. We consider him the God of the Sky and is a great warrior and protector of the desert. He is often represented non-anthro, however, that flies through the sky during the day protecting the earth from Seth.

Bastet (desert kougra), or Bast, is a goddess of Protection but mainly of domestic affairs and our wellbeing. She is the protector of the home and of those who are to bear children, but do not let her gentle side confuse you! Bastet is a great warrior daughter who aids Ra as he crosses the sky.

: The patron God of craftsmen, and the God of creation, is Ptah (brown techo.) He is the master architect and designer of the universe. When worried about the sales of your trade or if you are an apprentice, praying to Ptah and giving the right offerings will widen your chances of being blessed by this powerful God.

The Face of God

Welcome to my shop! I am a craftsman and I create decorative or functional masks for commission. Although I can make my masks out of any materials you wish me to, I prefer to work with leather and silk as the main materials. I have made my own leathers, but most often I import the leather from other traders and dye it myself to whichever color I desire. I paint and varnish all of my works and can add a number of different embellishments. I also work with precious metals such as gold, silver, and copper, and can set a number of gemstones into them and can add these things to your mask or headdress.

Note: Although the actual neopian masks are not my intellectual propery, I pixelated these. You cannot claim them for youself, though you may use them and slightly alter them to take them off the platform but please KEEP MY USERNAME PRESENT. You must link back to me. You may request for me to do pre-existing neopian masks, but I might not do them.

Under the Rose

Ah, the real currency that fuels and supports us! Like you may have heard, I am a trader and I frequently am off on runs to gather the most succulent and tasty treats our world has to offer. If you are lucky, you might even find a few pastries that my own sister has baked. I often have a few odds and ends, as well, that are not food products that you can haggle with me for. Trust me, you may think the desert isn't the best place to find the best food, but I have only the freshest produce and only the day's bread.
