Welcome to my petpage that is dedicated entirely to shoyrus.

Shoyru day is April 2nd, but one day to celebrate isn't enough! They deserve more, which is why this petpage has been created.
Before continuing, shoyru is a rather unique word. It is necessary to know how to exactly pronounce shoyru. It's pronounced, "shoy-roo" or "shoy-roos" for plural. A unique name for a unique species x)
With their majestic wings and big beautiful eyes, shoyrus are the most popular species of all of Neopia at an amazing amount of over 14 million created. Although they seem related to mystical fire breathing creatures, they lack the ability to breathe fire.

Shoyrus were first introduced on April 20, 2000.
Over time, shoyrus have went through some drastic redraws. Take a look at their transformations!
Surprisingly, shoyrus were not created by Neopet's artists, but instead an actual Neopet's player. Several years ago, before the site became popular, Neopets had a create a pet competition, where users could design their own pet in hopes of it actually being created. There were a total of three winners, adding zafaras, acaras, and of course, shoyrus to the Neopet's database. The talented creator of shoyrus was Mew_151, who based the idea off of the pokemon Mew and dragons. He has unfortunately quit Neopets. However, his wonderful creation has been left behind for us to cherish.
Thankfully, shoyrus are not a limited edition species. What does that mean, you ask? Well, it means that shoyrus can be created the normal way here.

But wait, what if you already have an existing pet that you want to turn into a shoyru. Well, that's easy to solve! All you need is a Shoyru Morphing Potion or a Shoyru Transmogrification Potion. A Shoyru Transmogrification Potion will turn your pet into a mutant shoyru...
...whereas a morphing potion changes the pet to the color specified.
