ADMINISTRATION
Hello, welcome to the award winning Neopian Hospital! I'm Kessilun, I work here as a doctor. In my free time, I like studying Neopian-Shenkuu medicine in Shenkuu with help from the Ruki of Remarkable Restoratives.

Enough about me, you dont look sick though. How about I give you a tour of the hospital? You might learn something new!

WAITING ROOM
Here is the waiting room of the hospital! There is a small selection of toys for younger Neopets and some magazines over on that table for readers.

Waiting time varies, but pets who have more serious illnesses will usually get called into an exam room first. You could be waiting for ten minutes or hours!

EXAM ROOM 3
When your name is called, you get to enter a shiny and clean white room - an exam room. In these rooms, patients get examen by doctors and nurses so we can diagnose what kind of illness they might have.

To diagnose an illness, we first must find out what the symptoms are. Does the patient have high temperature? Purple spots? Collect these symptoms, put those symptoms together like a puzzle, and name the illness!

This is Exam Room 3. Let's exam and diagnose this Meturf. Take a look at the list of the symptoms and tell me the disease. If you need help, click here.

SYMPTOMS = ?
- uncontrollable trembling
- dry skin
- flaky skin

To see if you got the diagnosis right, hover above the Meturf.

COMMON DISEASES
In Neopia, there are many handfuls of diseases such as The Jitters, Itchy Scratchies, Kikoughela, and many more. But there are ones that just keep showing up at hospital!

Neggitus
Neggs being Neopia's delicacy, one will be bound to get Neggitus in his or her lifetime. Neggs are great and full of nutritious vitamins, but one too many may trigger an allergic reaction. But that's nothing a Neggitus Injection can't fix up.
Sneezles
Not dressing in harmony with the weather may cause you to catch Sneezles. A runny nose and constant sneezing is unpleasant; nibbling on a Magic Cookie will have you up and running in no time!
NeoPox
Itching all over the place? You may have NeoPox. The cause of this disease is unknown, but a simple slice of NeoPox Pizza (which is not exactly yummy) will make the itching stop.

PHARMACY
The most rewarding part of being a doctor would definitely be curing your patient and seeing them healthy again. This is where our pharmacy is. We have access to many cures and if you need anything, our pharmacist will be happy to help you! Here are some types of medicine.

Tablets/Pills - Tablets (Hoochie Coochie Tablets) are a solid form of medicine, much like pills but they are chewable and are usually made for younger pets. Most chewable tablets have a fruity taste to them. Pills (Neoflu Jelly Pills) are meant to be swallowed whole. Many older pets prefer pills to tablets because pills are tasteless and some may say they work faster too.

Lotions/Creams - Medicinal lotions and creams (Itchy Scratchy Cream) contain medicines to treat the disease. Lotions and creams are usually used for treating skin diseases, or other types of external infections.

Food - Food type cures (NeoPox Pizza) are commonly made for children because most medicines are not tasty. Food type cures also include drinks (Bubbles Herbal Tea).

Injections/Jabs - Although young pets are afraid of these, injections and jabs (Neezles Jab) are the fastest way of treating an illness.

Powders - Powders (Fluff Be Gone) are sometimes rubbed or applied directly to the pet's body. In other cases, some powders can be consumed by mixing it into food and drinks. Be sure to read the label!

Syrup/Elixirs - Syrups and elixirs (Spyder Juice Elixir) are like drinks (nasty ones...) with medicine in them. They are very similar to food type cures.

Clothing - Magical clothing (Magic Smelly Socks) are very mysterious ways of curing diseases. Patients wear a certain item of clothing and are gradually cured.

You can access these cures and many others at the either Neopian Pharmacy, Remarkable Restoratives, or Lost Desert Medicine. If none of those stores have your treatment in stock, the friendly Shop Wizard might be able to lend you a hand.

It's also nice to know that Yellow Healthshrooms will heal your pets of any disease, as well as heal 15 hitpoints. Pteris recover quickly with any worm foods, and Magic Ghost Marshmallows will cure ghost pets instantly!

Also, pay a visit to the Water Faerie at the Healing Springs and she might cure your pet.

ALLERGY LAB
Some pets are allergic to certain foods, and will become sick if fed these foods. Allergic reactions happen when your body overreacts to a certain substance. Symptoms such as rash, runny nose and others can occur. It's a good idea to stock up on supplements if your pet is missing any important food groups.

Our allergy lab finds out which pets are allergic to which foods.

Kyriis and Apples - For some reason, Kyriis and apples just do not get along! Poor Kyriis have to pass on these delicious nutrient-dense fruits or they'll have to buy a tube of Itchy Scratchy Cream for their Itchy Scratchies!

Quiggles and Cream - Anything of cream substance should not touch a Quiggle's lips! Red Neezles spots are definitely no fun.

Tonus and Neggs - Deprived of nutritious neggs, Tonus will have to settle for something else unless they want a bad case of Neezles.

Skeiths and Cheese - Calcium Supplements are needed since Skeiths are unable to eat cheese products without receiving nasty Neezles.

UNIFORM
Our nurses here at Neopian Hospital have special full-set outfits made just for them. Shown below is the nurse dress, nurse hat and nurse shoes. They can be purchased at Uni's Clothing. These uniforms are exclusively for Acaras.

Us doctors wear white lab coats.

STAYING HEALTHY
If you find yourself getting sick often, try following these tips and you may just find yourself disease-free and bursting with energy!

Eating Right
As we all know, eating right will contribute greatly to a healthier you. Fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins and minerals which are necessary for a growing pet, so omelettes every day will not cut it! Be sure to also eat meats, grains and milk products. Remember, sweets are fine in moderation! Keep away from things like Poisonous Jelly, Poisonous Lollypop, and other poisonous or rotten foods that will make you sick.

Personal Hygiene
It's smart to brush your teeth, brush your fur (if you have any, that is), and take showers or baths every day! This keeps your body clean and free of any possible germs.

Exercise
Go outside and have some fun! Get all your friends together and go to the beach. Even walking is great exercise. Being active contributes to growth and will help keep you at a healthy weight.

DISCHARGE
When patients are cured, they usually stay in the hospital for a couple days just in case. Papers are filled out, and the patients collect their belongings and the get-well cards on their tablesides. Our patient is then discharged, and they can go back home!

This is where our tour ends! I hope you've learned something and had fun. Come again!
