I hope that all newcomers to neopets understand most of which I am saying. If you have a question, don't be afraid to neomail Socks or Mosabi!
***NOTE*** There are not any scores that we think you should get. Sometimes, when you're first trying out, it's hard to get the desired score. Just play your best. If you do that, you should send your score every time!

The Lecture
So, you want to learn how to restock. Of course you do. You've seen the screenies. Huge restocks.
Avatar Items, Chia pops, Morphing potions, and the like. Well, I'll be blunt with you:
You're probably not going stroll into the battle magic shop and restock a Bony Grarrl Club on your first try.
That... doesn't happen very often, so don't count on it. Ok? Now that I've broken your heart, lets move on, shall we?
The Tips
The selling part
Well Grasshopper, I hope you have learned much today. Remember: If thou saves, thou shall be rewarded. ?
#001. COLLECT YOUR INTEREST!!!!!!!!! DO IT! If you ignore it, you're just wasting YOUR NP!!! If you have enough money in the bank, you can get a decent amount of interest each day. It seriously adds up!
#002. Don't, don't, don't, DON'T spend on what you don't need. That's everything. I have a serious shopping addiction so it's really hard not to spend my day's gatherings. We have group therapy for people like me in room fourteen. xD
#003. Your pets will not die. Repeat: your pets will not die!!!! Don't feed 'em. It's a waste of NP.
#004. Do your dailies. Every day. Hence the name 'dailies'. They can really give out some awesome prizes. The fruit machine sometimes gives out paintbrushes!
#005. Sell codestones, faeries, and dubloons. If you aren't a BDer (a battler) you don't need these. You need the money from these.
#006. Hidden tower items are a bust. All of those battle items are useless for people who don't battle. They're shiny but not worth shilling out the cash to pay it. ??
Tip Number One: Do you're research. Once you find a category with gallery potential, lookup two things: how many items you'll have to buy and how much (approxamatly) you'll have to spend. I suggest using jellyneo's item database: items[dot]jellyneo[dot]net.
Tip Number Two: Set short term goals to reach your long term goal. Say you're making a Pencil Gallery. There's 62 (sixty-two) items that you need. If you want to buy 2 (two) items a day, you divide 62 by 2. In all, if you stick to your short term goals, you will have a complete gallery in 31 (thirty-one) days.
Tip Number Three: Monitor your short-term goals. Use jellyneo's wish-list system (it's on the database). Then you can see exactly how many more items you need and what they are. ?
I hope this is able to help you budget your time (and money) when making your pwn-some gallery!!*shakes head* Wooh! Sorry bout that. Anywho, here's the first tip for saving. (1.) Set limits. Because I'm a total shopping addict, it's nearly impossible for me not to spend. I have 1,000-1,500 that I allow myself to spend. It's really not a lot. If I make 20k (that's twenty thousand) from games, that leaves me with at least 18.5k (that's eighteen thousand, five-hundred) when normally, I'd probably spend half of it! Tip number two: (2.) Do not browse the shops. Whenever I do a lookup on someone, one of my favorite things to do is visit their shops. Not for the fancy graphics or css; but for the stock. Shopping is fun! But when you see all of the *shiny* things, you want to buy, right? So, there's only one solution: Just don't step foot in the shops. It stinks but it helps when you're saving up for a royal pb (paintbrush) xD. Tip three: (3.) Tell yourself that--no matter how cool that doughnutfruit looks--you're *insert item name here* will pay of wayyyyyy more. If you believe it, you won't spend. ?
Stock (also called a share): Stock is a 'chunk' of a company. One 'chunk' is not very big. Say, you start a company. You own all the 'chunks'. It's only yours. If you sell 'chunks' of your company, you are giving up more and more of your company. So, the person who owns the most stock, makes the most decisions.
Stock Market: Where you buy and sell stocks. Stock markets have different names. Neopets' is called the Neodaq. Some popular real-world ones are the NASDAQ, AMEX, and NYSE. Those are unimportant but they're good for you to know. The Neodaq has several companies that sell stock.
Ticker Symbol: A ticker symbol is a 'nickname' given to a company. For example: Balthazars Faerie Bottling Inc. It has the ticker symbol BOTT. Ticker Symbols aren't necessarily acronyms (an acronym is like a compressed acrostic poem. Like P.I.E. could be Pink Igloos Everywhere.); BOTT isn't an acronym for Balthazars Faerie Bottling Inc. They're just a way for Stockholders (this definition is coming in a second) to recognize their stocks.
Stockholder: Someone who buys and sells stocks for a profit. I am a stockholder because I 'hold' stocks until I am ready to sell stocks.
FAQ's
Now time for some questions you might have...
How do I buy stock? Well, first you must go here to see all of the stocks. To demonstrate, I am going to pretend we are buying some stock of Achyfi Enterprises. First, you want to click on the company's ticker symbol.

Then you will see something like this:

Click on the company's full name.
Then you will see something along the lines of this:

Enter the amount of stocks you wish to buy in theNumber of Shares box and click buy shares. This will take you back to your portfolio and it should look like this (just, instead of all my writing in red, actual numbers):

How much does stock cost? Stock can cost basically any price. The bad thing, however, is that, on the Neodaq, you can only buy stocks for 15NP or more because of "market regulations," to quote the front page of the Stock Market.
How much stock should I buy? Well, I guess just buy as much as much as you are willing to spend. I take out, say, 3,000 NP and I divide it buy the price of the stock. That way, I'm not spending too much. But, you can only buy 1,000 stocks per day. So, keep that in mind when buying!
What stock should I buy? Well, most people would say to study about seven different stocks over a week to a month. Study the stocks rises and falls every day. Like, look at them at 4:00pm every day and record the price. That way you know how steady the rising and falls are. If you ask me, this is a whole heck of a lot of work to do just to get fake money. I just pick some stocks I like and buy some. Some may call it risky but, hey, what's life without a little adventure?! ?
