Updates:
May 24, 2007
- Sorry for the lack of updates. Steps 4 and 5 have been added, though I'm stuck in a loop, so I can't completely finish up Step 5. Also, don't mind the headers for these 2 sections, I'm having trouble uploading the actual ones, so those in place are just acting as placeholders.
- Mysterious Temple section updated. Took a while, but it's up. Read over it, and if there's something you think could be made clearer, neomail me saying what it is and I'll do what I can to fix it up. I did type it up while only half awake, after all.
- The temple puzzle has been released. I'll have up the next section before I go to bed. Just so you know, it was already 11:15 PM EST before I logged on and saw the puzzle, and I'll be up til I have it done. :D
- Step 3 has been released. Added the next step, journal entry, and map update. We wait all weekend and nothing?
- Added a new button; Tweaked the formatting.
- Step 2 of the plot has been released. Battle the Ravenous Beast!
- A new plot has been released. Clean the deck!
I suggest not just doing the steps, but reading the comic as well. There may come a point in time where you need to have an idea of what is going on to complete a step.
If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions, please don't hesitate to neomail me.
On another note, please don't steal anything. I coded this by hand, and made/edited the images myself. If you have questions or need help on images or coding, just send me a neomail instead.

This is the beginning of the Journey to the Lost Isle Plot. The link to the plot pages appeared in the 05/01/07 New Feature entry.
Since the journal entries on the main page change, I've included a section with the entries further down the page so you can read them whenever you need. I suggest reading them as you do the plot, however, since later on you may need to know something from them.
Next, from the journal page, click on the To the adventure button, and you will be taken to the comic where you can read Chapter 1. This is where you will be introduced to the plot's characters, including a stowaway named Scrap, who you will help out shortly.
After you read Chapter 1, head back to the journal page and click the To the puzzle button. If it isn't there, you can click this puzzle link to get there. This will take you to a screen where you will have to help Scrap by cleaning up the deck. To complete these 3 puzzles, you need to place each piece so that they all fit into the puzzle without any overlapping. Everyone has a different puzzle, so there is not a specific answer that I can give you.
Tip: Place the larger pieces first. It's usually easier to place the smaller pieces later since they will fit on the board more ways.
Tip: The water bucket in the bottom left corner resets the board if you need to start over.
Tip: Some puzzles have multiple solutions, so if you get stuck somewhere, rearrange the pieces and try again.
Tip: If you need more help, there are plenty of people on the Journey to the Lost Isle neoboard willing to help you out.
These were my puzzles, and while your solution will be different, you can still use them as examples to help you solve yours.

After you finish the puzzles, you will get a message saying, "Well done! The deck looks immaculate and ready for voyage now." And the following image will appear. This is the end of the first step.

On 05/03, TNT released the next step of the plot. And it's rather short as well.
Head to the journal page and read Mad Tongue Murphy's next entry. After this, click To the adventure again, and read Chapter 2 of the comic. At the end of Chapter 2 of the comic, the Ravenous Monster is ready to attack. This time, you get to help by defeating it in the Battledome. Either click the last frame that has the Ravenous Monster in it, or click this Battledome link.

The Ravenous Monster is difficulty 15, and starts with 15 HP and 4 one-use items. I suggest 2 Scarab Rings, healing items, and if possible, a Leaf Shield. If you are having trouble, and you can get a Leaf Shield, just use it along with a Scarab Ring (or healing item when necessary) until it uses up all it's items, and then finish it off. Otherwise, battling properly with the 2 Scarab Rings should work just as well.
Tip: If you need more detailed advice on battling, just check out the JttLI plot board.
Once you have defeated the Ravenous Monster, you are done with Step 2.

*Update - 05/10/07*
The temple puzzle has been released. It is a lot like Time Tunnel, but the layout is a bit more sophisticated.
Before you start the puzzle, read the instructions. They give you the basics that you will need.

You should have gathered a few facts from this.
- You need to align the symbols in the column directly underneath the lights.
- Green means you have a symbol of the code in the right place.
- Yellow means you have a symbol of the code, but it's in the wrong place.
- You have a limited number of tries.
- If you input too many guesses, the puzzle will reset. Note: Only the puzzle you are currently working on will be reset. If you are on the second puzzle and it gets reset, you only need to start over at the beginning of the second puzzle. The same goes for the third.
- The position of the green and yellow lights are not the same as the positions on the rings. This means that a green symbol in the second slot does not necessarily mean that the symbol on the second ring is in the right place.
*The following is a walkthrough using my own code. Since yours will be different, your screen and my images will be different, but the concepts behind the steps will be the same. Anything typed in maroon is more a direction of what to do than a statement of what I did.*

The first puzzle starts off like this, but everyone's codes are different. Even if they weren't, they change whenever the puzzle resets anyway.

I started off by clicking all the rings once to align them how they are in the image above. The above image has one green light, so I know one this of the symbols in my code. I'll write it down and move to the next symbol.
Start off by clicking all the rings once to align them how they are in the image above, and then click the button to enter this as a code. Obviously, this isn't the code, but it will help figure out which symbols are in the code. By putting in all the same symbols, you can know for sure whether or not this is one of the symbols in the code. If you put in more than one type of symbol before you know all of the symbols that are in the code, you will only be able to tell the NUMBER of symbols you have correct. You won't have any way of knowing WHICH symbols are correct, or which are in the right spots.

I aligned the rings again, and this time I got 2 green lights, so I know 2 of this symbol are in my code.
Align the rings for the second symbol like you did the first, and click the button again. Write your symbols down.

Align the rings for the third symbol, and click the button yet again. I got another green light, so I know this is the fourth symbol of my code. Next comes finding the order of the symbols.
At this point, you don't need to line up the last symbol, even if you don't "have" all 4 symbols to your code. This is because there are only 4 different symbols on the rings, and if you've already checked the first 3, you know what the last one will be. Ex: Say you lined up the rings and got the following outcome: 1-0-1. This means there is one of the first symbol and one of the third symbol in your code. Since there is only one symbol left to check, and you know there are only 4 symbols in your code, you know that there will be two of the last symbol in your code. 1+0+1+2=4. The same concept will work on the later puzzles, the numbers will just be different.

Now, I picked one of the symbols from my code, and lined it up on the first ring. The rest of the rings I filled with symbols that weren't in my code, or the empty spaces on the rings. I entered this code and got a green light, so I know that this symbol that I just put in belongs on that first ring.
Pick a symbol you know is in your code, and line it up on the first ring. Line up the rest of the rings on symbols that aren't in your code, or the empty spaces on the rings. Hit enter, then if this first symbol isn't in the right spot, move it down one ring, fill the others with empty spaces and try again. Do this until you get the green light and find the ring that this first symbol is supposed to be on.

Now, I did the same thing for the next symbol of my code, except I made sure not to put it in on the first ring, since I know that's where my first symbol goes, and I'd just be wasting one of my guesses if I did. I got lucky again and it was in the right place the first time through, so I go on to placing my last symbols.
Pick your second symbol, but make sure not to put it where you already know your first one belongs. Work this symbol down one ring at a time again until you find where this one goes.

Again, I got lucky on this puzzle, so my last two symbols are both the same, and I can just plug them right in and hit enter.
If you didn't, just move on to your third symbol in the code, and use the same strategy as you did for the first two symbols. When you figure out where the third one goes, you can plug the fourth into the code right away and enter it.
The same concepts will work on the next two puzzles as well, but there will be more symbols, and more guesses until the puzzle resets.
Tip: WRITE YOUR SYMBOLS DOWN! I can't stress this enough. It'll get frustrating if you're going through the puzzle, you figure out which ones they are, and then you forget which they were and have to reset it deliberately.
Tip: Use process of elimination to figure out which symbols you need and where they go. If you do, you won't need to use as many guesses to figure out your code.
Tip: Remember that you don't need to check all the symbols like stated above. Only until you find all four, or have checked all but the last one so you know that the last symbol(s) must be of that last type. Whichever comes first.
Tip: When you are trying to figure out the position of the symbols in the code, use the single symbols first. Ex: On the first puzzle, you have one of the first type, two of the second type, and one of the fourth type. Find the positions of the first and fourth types first, then you can just finish by filling the other two in the empty spaces. It will take fewer steps as opposed to finding the positions of both of the second type of symbol, then the first and fourth symbols.
The following pictures are the second and third puzzles.

If you have trouble understanding this, please neomail me stating which part is confusing and I'll try my best to make it clearer.

Head to the journal page and read Mad Tongue Murphy's next entry. After this, click To the adventure again, and read Chapter 5 of the comic. This time, you get attacked by the Monstrous Moach. Either click the last frame that has the Monstrous Moach in it, or click this Battledome link.
None of my pets are strong enough to defeat the Monstrous Moach, and since I'm not much of a BDer, try one of the other plot guide links I have listed above if you need help.
Tip: If you need more detailed advice on battling, just check out the JttLI plot board.
You are done with step 4 once you've beaten the Monstrous Moach.

Translations from Mad Tongue Murphy's Journal, page 6 (05/01/07)

The seemingly infinite ocean still stretches away as far as the eye can see, but I have found some small measure of relief from the pitiless depths. I have washed upon land. Strange and uninhabited from what I can tell, but solid and corporeal in a sea of cruel, tossing waves. After days of floating hoplessly on driftwood, even a tiny rock out on the ocean would be as welcoming to me as a king's palace.
Though I have only done a rudimentary exploration of the shoreline, I transcribed the general outline of the island into my memory when I saw it from a distance yesterday. I have tried my best to pinoint my location with the help of the stars, but my findings frighten me. I am so far from the world I know.
In the meantime, I must make my way with what has been given to me. This journal is the only thing I managed to salvage from my ship, hidden as it was in the folds of my clothes. There is firewood to be gathered and shelter to be built. I will write when I next have a moment - and it looks as if there will be a great many long moments...
Translations from Mad Tongue Murphy's Journal, page 8 (05/03/07)

My explorations of the island have yielded some strange flora that I have never seen before. I can only hope they are safe to eat, for I do not have many other alternatives. The foreign fruit I plucked and ate this morning has so far been most agreeable to me - the juices of it are sweet, and the fatigue I had felt from my long days of drifting has faded away.
I have constructed a small habitat near the shore where I first washed up, and it is there that I live out most of my solitary existence. Driven by fear, I have surveyed my immediate surroundings many times over, but I have turned up nothing more than the plant life. This island would be a scientist's paradise. It overflows with rich wonders, so different from the civilised world we know, so untouched by curious hands.
Alas, I cannot fully appreciate these marvels; my mind is occupied with the task of survival and the ever-encroaching loneliness. I write in this journal not in the hopes that others will see my words someday, or that I may recall these dreadful days in the future, but to keep my wits about me. For words are the only familiar things available to me in this alien world...
Translations from Mad Tongue Murphy's Journal, page 14 (05/08/07)

I am alone no longer, but oh, how I wish I were! Even now as I write, my hand shakes so fiercely that I can scarcely scratch out these words. Yet I will attempt to record the day's events to the best of my ability. This morning, since my provisions were running low, I ventured further into the island until I tread upon territory I had not previously explored. As I was gathering fruit for my breakfast, I heard a loud rustling in the trees overhead.
Quickly, I hid myself in the underbrush, my heart beating frantically with a mixture of hope and fear. Was it a potential friend or hostile enemy? The ground trembled beneath as my unknown companion leapt to a clearing beside my hiding place; the brush around me shivered like it also felt my tremors of fear.
Gathering my courage, I crept closer to the clearing - only to be met with another pair of eyes. Eyes black and infinite as midnight, blank and unfeeling as stone. Eyes that towered over me from an unfathomable height. I did not pause to wonder any longer, but fled as fast as my feet could carry me, until I collapsed in the poor safety of my shelter. The creature did not appear to have followed me, but I am nevertheless immobilised by terror. I must get off this island!
