The sun begins to set, allowing shadows to cast their presence upon the concrete. Painting the thick, smog filled skies with vibrant colors. This place, where the rough seek refuge, and stand about wondering if they've hit rock bottom yet. To walk amongst the lost, the lonely, and the feared.

The smog filled air tainted with the grotesque smell of fear, it simply made stomachs turn. This place, it was almost like a prison, once you got here, there wasn't alot you could do to get out. Yet this was where you'd wandered to, unable to find the building you longed to see. It appeared you'd waste away here, amongst these monsters.

Panic begins to set in, that once gorgeous sky was getting darker and darker; you'd never hated the stars more in your life. Frantic, your pace quickens, eyes darting from faceless stranger to the other, their voices sounded distant aswell as the hums of cars passing by. The city would swallow you alive, the night life wouldn't even take notice.

Suddenly, you feel something warm-- you've bumped into something? No, you've bumped into someone. One of the city's finest and all at once one of the city's worst residents. She turns around, a snarl spread across her features. "I-I-I" You stutter, searching for any word to help you, hoping she doesn't take you out now.

You- You- You bumped into me." She snaps, her eyes narrowing. The silence holds you both, unsure what to say next, you fidget with your fingers. "Lost." You finally squeak, looking at the Aisha pleadingly. Hoping that maybe, just maybe, she'd have enough heart to lead you to your building or atleast to somewhere safe, with a phone. All you could to was silently beg, yet not once did you attempt to make eye contact with this stranger.

Hmph She sounds, that alone made your heart sink. Your shoulders drop, eyes widening, how could a living being do this? "W-W-Wait-!" You manage to cry out, despite the fact she's right infront of you. This only causes an even more annoyed expression to cross her features, "Don't yell, come on." She snaps back. So, she wasn't going to leave you? This alone brings a sense of joy to your once panicked heart and quickly you rush after her. "I'm guest." You mutter, wanting only to be polite, yet she doesn't seem to care. Quietly you begin to wonder what exactly you've gotten yourself into.

She seems to be leading you, somewhere. Where the lights seemed to glow brighter, easing the pain. "I'm Kai," Her rough words break the silence. Quickly you speed up, walking beside her. "Hold up," She warns, sitting down on the curb, you quickly follow suit.

A decently sized animal comes striding over from across the street. While it's not as large as it's assumed owner, it's quite a sight. "This is Audio," she introduces, a 'rette hangs from her mouth. Smoke coiling into the air around her face, a dull glaze forming over her eyes.

This monsterous thing makes a noise, her hand slowly meets its face. Easing whatever pained the creature, with just that. Maybe, this thing wasn't so bad after all.

VORISAY
There's not a moment that goes by when she's not strange.
Vorisay and I seem to be polar opposites. Lazy, outlandish, it seems the only similarities are the fact we're practically nocturnal. I can't say I loathe her, but it seems hard for us to get along.

NUJERI
An anger ridden, self-centered, and all around unpleasant person.
I've known him, for what seems like a life time. This is the one person, who taught me school, is for chumps. He's my boss, yes, yes. Brought the business to me, taught me good, you bet. Nujeri is a highly sucessful, business man- so to speak.

ASH
I know it's weird, her and I being cousins.
Ash is this cranky, irrational creature, and she's sort of fragile. Just a little. I adore Ash, with every fiber of my being. She lives far away, so she likes to send me letters and pictures, it's something to look forward to. She worries about how I am here, in this big bad city. But I like to tell her, it's all safe.

SRADICHI
Sradichi, Sradichi, Sradichi.
It's hard to really say, how we met. I can't remember, he kind of comes and goes as he pleases. He's young and naive, but really sweet. I mean really, you say something, and Sradichi usually tries his best to do it. Sradichi is always hurt, or- I think. He lives with a group, it's not a bad place, better than his last group. It's weird, I adore this kid, but we can't seem to get along. Kind of adorable.

JACK
Oh, Jack is a wonderful kind of guy.
Really, a funny guy. If there's something to celebrate, by goodness he'll do it. We work together, but- he really just loathes Sradichi. Jack has a bit of a short fuse, which is odd- I think it's the job. We used to be real close, I quietly miss it. Jack, Jack, please come back.

Uh, uh, uh, who?

You look over at her, the book of photos had snapped shut. It was just silence, save for the deep breathing of Audio. "K-Kai?" You stammer, hoping she wasn't bitter about something you'd brought up. No, she looked over at you, the smoke had ceased as it hit the pavement. The Aisha stands up, grabbing your shoulder and helping you to your feet. It seemed as though it was time to go.

The two of you continue to walk for awhile longer. Then the familiar bright lights of the building you'd been looking for, caught your eyes. Wonderful, you were finally back to where you belonged. "See you 'round?" You turned around to ask Kai.

A smirk contorts her lips, "Prolly not." She answers. While part of you yearned to pester her about the answer, it was time to part ways. Kai had already turned around and now you slowly went into the building.

TAKE THIS WITH YOU, FOR GOOD LUCK N' STUFF.
