So, you want to learn how to feed Kadoaties, eh? Well you've come to the right place. I'm going to give you all the information you'll need to be a successful feeder. So let's get started.

Ok, you're probably wondering about the Kadoatery, so I'll give you a bit of info. First off, the Kadoatery can be found here. You can get there by going to the main shops page and clicking on the link to the Neopian Plaza. The Kadoatery is there right next to the Wishing Well. You can also get there by clicking on a Kadoatery trophy on yours or someone else's lookup. Wondering what the point of the Kadoatery is? Well, the Kadoatery was started on September 10, 2004 as a place where owners left their petpets when they went on holiday. Every so often they get hungry and it's our job to feed them. Need some incentive to want to feed, well here go the prizes:

Now, there are 20 Kadoaties available for feeding. Most of the time you will see that all of them have already been fed by someone. When did they feed them you ask, well that's where restock times come in. Yes, there are certain times when the Kadoaties ask for food. Where can you find these times? Well, I'll tell you.

The Kadoatery Boards

The Time Board
In the Games Chatroom, you can find the Kadoatery Feeding Times and List board. This board runs nonstop 24/7 so you should never have a hard time finding it. On this board you will easily find the time of the next restock and also lists of what the Kadoaties asked for once the restock has gone.

The Chat Boards
There are three different Kadoatery chat boards one on the Games Chat Board, another on the Avatars/Neosignatures Chat Board, and finally one on the Help Chat Board. The people at all three of those boards are really nice and are usually willing to help a new feeder so you can't go wrong with whichever board you choose to chat at (Or hey! Chat at all three of them if you like!), but there are a few things you should know before going to any of them. Here they are:

Kadoatery Board Words to Know
Rs: When you see rs it's the restock time, usually referring to either the main or a mini.
Main: This is the time when most of the Kadoaties ask for new food.
Mini: This is the time when only a few of the Kadoaties ask for new food.
Timekeeper: Person on the boards who keeps track of the restock times in their siggy or neoHTML.
Kad: The Kadoatie petpet.
Ub: Unbuyable
Mewbie: A new feeder. (It's not a bad thing )
m00b: The same thing as a n00b but concerning Kadoaties, a rude, obnoxious person.
Merge: When a mini becomes part of the main or another mini.
Glf: Good luck feeders.
Glmf: Good luck mini feeders.
Cf: Congrats feeders.
Hn: Had nothing.
Going pink: Getting the Mew! avatar.
Overfeeder: Someone who fed 76+ Kadoaties.

Now when you go to the Kadoatery chat boards, LOOK AROUND FOR THE RESTOCK TIMES BEFORE ASKING! There are usually timekeepers on at all times with the restock times in their signature or somewhere in their font and I know they do not appreciate being asked for the restock time when it's right there if you look. If you checked the current page and the page before it and you can't find anyone with the restock times then feel free to ask. But then and only then. Also when moving to a new board, wait for a timekeeper to post, don't ask for the times until you've waited for a bit. The restock times in people's siggies or neoHTML usually looks like this:

Except, the two x's will be replaced by numbers signifying the restock time. Of course the font will vary too depending on the timekeeper. Now for some more information about the restock times. The restocks are every 28+ minutes. The time you'll see when you look on the boards means minutes past the hour. So for example if a timekeeper's siggy says Main :30 that means the restock is at 30 minutes past that current hour. Recently a new time system was implemented and restocks now pend for 7 minutes, meaning that if main is at :30 the next time for you to refresh will be at :37. If it still hasn't gone at :37 the next time to refresh will be at :44 and so on in that way until the main finally goes, so bring your math skills if you plan on timekeeping. ;) This new system makes the mains pend for much longer so please have patience. Keep in mind that the given restock time is just an estimate for when to start refreshing. You need to refresh on the minute for three or four times starting at the given restock time and every seven minutes after that until you see the Kadoaties asking for food. Please remember that the restock time isn't always the same and that there are not always minis.

If you go to the Kadoatery boards and ask a question, and you are ignored, wait a few more minutes then repeat your question. The board moves really fast most of the time and it's easy to miss posts. If you were still not answered these might be the reasons why:

- Your font is hard to read, fix it and try again.
- Someone asked the same question as you a little earlier and recieved an answer.
- There was nothing to respond to your post, so just try jumping into the current conversation.

Game Chat Kadoatery Board Guidelines
-No new boards until the 25th page.
-The first board posted on the twenty-fifth page is the one we go to.
If you choose to make a board, please make sure it has "The Kadoatery" first in the title. It helps if you put stars in the title, but you do NOT have to.
-Please make sure that all or most of the title is in English so as not to cause confusion.

Just to CLARIFY. If someone makes a board with something other than the "Kadoatery" first in the title and it's only their first time making that mistake or they weren't corrected the first time, we do NOT make a new board we STAY at that one for a full 25 pages unless the title is so far off from "The Kadoatery" that you wouldn't realise what board it was. Ex: Cheese and Pickle Eating Kads. If you don't agree with this system we set up no one is asking you to stay.

Now that you know all that you need to about the board let's move on.

Before we get into the methods of feeding, you're probably going to want to know how many wind*ws you should have open during the restock time. On average I'd say about 3-4. One open to the Kadoatery, another open to the Shop Wizard and/or your Safety Deposit Box, and other open to the Kadoatery boards to find out restock times/chat. During the restock time, my screen usually looks like this:

I use the Neopets clock for the time, but that tends to lag sometimes so you may want to download a clock with seconds. Now let's get to the feeding methods.

Feeding Methods
Ok, now there are three methods of feeding starting with inventory feeding, the easiest, then Safety Deposit Box feeding, and ending with Shop Wizard feeding. I'm going to tell you about each one and you can choose which one is right for you. Remember, the item has to be in your inventory in order for you to feed it.

Inventory Feeding
Well, inventory feeding is the easiest method of feeding and the one you'll find most people use. What makes it so simple is that you already have the item on hand so you just have to click the Kadoatie that is asking for your food as fast as you can and you'll most likely feed it. Sound easy so far? The hard part is picking what items you want to feed. Most people feed items with the same word in it (Example: Hot dogs) because it's easier to remember groups of items. However, if you have a good memory, I would personally recommend a random inventory, an inventory with many different types of items. You have more of a chance of the Kadoaties asking for something you have this way. But of course it's up to you in the end.

For a complete list of all the food the Kadoaties ask for, click here. Please remember to never have more than 50 items in your inventory when feeding, this is considered cheating an you can get your inventory erased or you can be frozen.

Now let's go to the next method.

Safety Deposit Box Feeding
For Safety Deposit Box (SDB) feeding, you already have the item, except that it's in your SDB and not your inventory. So what you need to do is if you see an item you have in there during the Kadoatery restock, type in part of the item's name in the search box as fast as you can and click on remove one and then click on the Kadoatie asking for the item. If you're fast you have a pretty good chance of feeding it unless someone else has it in their inventory. The only way to know what to keep in your SDB is to watch what others feed and watch what items take the longest to be fed. That's the method I use and it hasn't failed me yet.

Now for the last method.

Shop Wizard Feeding
Shop Wizard or Wiz feeding is the most difficult method of feeding because it has more steps than all the others. In order to shop wiz feed, you can use the same method as SDB feeding- watching what others feed and what gets fed last- or wait until some of the Kadoaties are fed and see what items are still being asked for and wiz it as quick as you can. To shop wiz feed, simply have the Shop Wizard open and during a Kadoatery restock copy and paste the item name or type it into the shop wizard search, whichever is faster for you. Because you only have a limited amount of time, buy the first item you see because you don't have the time to search for the lowest price. I think this feeding method works best with minis because there's only one or two items to choose to wiz and not the overwhelming amount there is in the main, but whatever works for you.

Now that you know the methods of feeding, let's see feeding in action.

During Restock Time
When the Kadoaties restock, they'll look something like this:

Except of course they'll be different colors, have different names, and be asking for different items. Now this is where the feeding methods come into play. If you see a Kadoatie asking for an item you have in your inventory click on it as fast as you can, it can sometimes be difficult to find your item, so just practice reading through all the items really fast or pick a certain section to look at. If you see a Kad asking for something in your SDB follow that method and do the same for Shop Wizard feeding.

No matter what method you use if you are successful you'll see something like this:

When you go back to the Kadoatery you'll see something like this but with your name and whichever Kadoatie you fed:

Sometimes you can feed the same item as another person to the same Kadoatie if you both clicked at the same time, so if you ever see someone else's name under the Kadoatie you just fed, don't worry about it because you got a feed counted to you as well as the other person(s) that tied.

Now, if you are unsuccessful in your feeding attempt you'll see something like this with the name of the person that beat you filled in:

Don't be discouraged and give up if you don't feed. No one feeds every time, it takes some people a lot of tries to get one fed, so just keep trying and be patient and you'll get one soon enough.

Remember that you can only feed another Kadoatie if your name is no longer in the Kadoatery if you try to feed another while you're name is already in there you'll get this message:

Well, I've taught you all that I know. There are no secrets to feeding Kadoaties, just practice, have patience, and choose your feeding method(s) wisely. Good luck feeding!
