Hi guest! Welcome to my Kadoatie tips page! I am JubJiggly the JubJub, the most favoritest pet of elijon23. I have decided to focus my attention on the needy, lonesome Kadoaties of the Kadoatery. My owner, elijon23, has adopted two sisters (JubClub and JubieChub) for me because of the scale of the information that I have available. This information will be added daily, so check back often!

Refreshing at the Kadoatery

The following are observations I have made that should help to minimize wasted time in waiting at the Kadoatery.

Unless you would like to part with a Blue Draik Egg, you will have great difficulty in feeding Kadoaties without being at the Kadoatery at an opportune time. Even the most expensive buyable foods will be fed to the Kaddies within a minute of restocking. But there is hope! Restocking always occurs on the minute. The main restock (when the vast majority of the Kadoaties again demand food) occurs every 30-40 minutes, rarely - but sometimes - longer. To find out when the next restock time is, the KFC threads in the Games forum on the boards. The KFC thread is usually well-maintained and should consistently show the time of the main restock. Be at the Kadoatery at least a few seconds before the restock time, then refresh the screen after the minute turns. Refreshing exactly at the restock time will often result in a glitchy screen that may not even show the hungry Kadoaties, so allow about a second for the restock programming to take place before refreshing. You should keep up this refreshing process every minute until the restock, which likely won't happen during the first or second minute, so be patient.

There are often also mini-restocks - usually only one or two Kadoaties, but also spaced 30-40 minutes apart. These mini-restocks are the result of inconsistencies in feedings, especially when rare foods are finally fed to the Kaddies; therefore, these mini-restocks are less predictable than the main restock.

When Trying to Feed a Kadoatie...

The traditional route of feeding involves refreshing while waiting for the restock, obtaining an item, clicking on a Kadoatie with that item, and then waiting for one of the following screens. However, there is a way to feed multiple Kadoaties during the same restock if you have the items already in your inventory; this is achieved by clicking the multiple Kadoaties before one of the following screens loads. Do this at your own risk, as people are likely to get upset and report you (for what reason? I don't know). I am still waiting for confirmation from TNT to see if this is an acceptable method. Feeding multiple can also happen when the page has loaded and the second screen (see below, Already been Fed) appears. Ties are commonplace at the Kadoatery (and both people get their trophy points). However, feeding multiple has happened on accident to several people (including me), so try not to get too upset if you see someone's name up multiple times and don't worry too much if you accidentally feed multiple.

There are four possible screens that you will get when attempting to feed a Kadoatie:

1 - Success!

Hoorah!
You've made Name a very happy Kadoatie.

*Mew!*

Thanks for doing a good deed!

(Also, in case you were wondering, you have now fed ### Kadoaties in all!)

Congratulations! You've fed a Kadoatie! This screen shows the name of the Kadoatie that you have fed and shows you have many you have fed thus far. I would suggest going back the Kadoatery to see if your name is posted; sometimes your name will not be posted if you and someone else fed the same Kadoatery at the same time, which means that you might still be able to feed yet another Kadie!

2 - Already been Fed :(

Oops!
It looks like Name the Kadoatie has already been fed by Username.

*Mew!*

You'll have to try again with another Kadoatie.

Somebody has beaten you to feeding this Kadoatie. This screen shows the name of the Kadoatie that you might have been able to feed if you had been faster, and the screen also hyperlinks to the user that did feed the Kadoatie (I suppose you could drop them a Neomail to congratulate them or something). Go back to the Kadoatery and find one that hasn't been fed yet.

3 - Don't have the Right Food?

Oops!
It looks like you don't have the proper item to feed Name the Kadoatie.

*Mew!*

You should go out and get it. Quickly before someone else does!

Blue Draik Egg

The requested food is not in your inventory, bummer. This screen will display the name and picture of the food that this Kadoatie wants. If you are quick, you may still have time to get the item from somewhere...(see Kadoatery Feeding Possibilities below)

4 - You've had Your Turn

Oops!
It looks like you've already fed a Kadoatie.
As soon as that one goes home with its owner, you can feed another one. :)

*Mew!*

You cannot feed a Kadoatie if your name is already listed. Except for during the occasional glitch, you will be limited to feeding one Kadoatie every 30 or more minutes. Wait until the next restock to try again.

Kadoatery Feeding Possibilities

There are three great ways to feed Kadoaties quickly and inexpensively. All of the choices suggest having at least 45 different Kadoatery foods in your inventory upon refreshing times. These inventory items may consist of a broad spectrum of the cheapest items, or a more focused collection of foods of a certain type. Focusing is more expensive, but should lead to fewer missed Kaddys.

1 - Use the Shop Wizard

Under this option, I would suggest leaving a few slots open in your inventory. Have one screen open to the Kadoatery and a second screen open to the Shop Wizard main page. When an item that you don't have appears, type the name into the Shop Wizard lookup up box and buy an item - simple, right? Here are a few tips to take advantage of split seconds.

Copying and pasting the name of the item into the What are you looking for? lookup field saves time in typing and prevents errors

Presetting the Search Items field to identical to my phrase will prevent items with similar names from showing

The shop wizard will display one of eight screens, refreshing will randomly select another screen. The screen will display the results by username as grouped by the following: Revising (changed from 8 screens to 13)

When using the shop wizard to buy a Kadoatie food, you may just want to buy the first buyable item on the top of the list to save time and better ensure a feed.

2 - Use your Safety Deposit Box or Shop

Storing a large variety of foods in your Safety Deposit Box is another quick-access way to obtain a specific item. Have one screen open to the Kadoatery and the other to your Safety Deposit Box. Once again, copying and pasting is a good idea. Using the SDB method also ensures you the opportunity of buying the cheapest items in advance, thus costing less per feed. A drawback, however, is that you would not be able to access every item as the Shop Wizard method allows. One big plus to the SDB method is that you can hold more items this way; foods can be moved to your inventory even while holding more than 50 items. Extremely similar to the SDB method would be to use your shop as a food depository. Every item in your Shop Stock is listed on one page, thus a search using control†F allows a quick food grab. However, using your shop will only be effective if your shop is large, and upgrading is very expensive, costing a million points to upgrade all the way up to size 100.

3 - Hold Several Foods

As the name implies, this method would have you hold a large variety of foods in your inventory. You can still Quick Stock while holding up to 69 items, so you can then use the Shop Wizard method after quickly depositing all of your items (possibility of discarding or donating all of your items exists with the click of the the wrong button, so be careful). You can use this method and the SDB method together due to the fact that SDB items may still be moved to your inventory regardless of inventory count. I would not highly recommend this method because your mobility around the site is greatly limited (items can't be received from friends while holding 50 items, quests can't be done at 60 items, etc.).

Rewards!

Hey, who said service to the hungry can't have its fringe benefits?

= 1 Feed = 10 Feeds = 25 Feeds = 75 Feeds = ????? Feeds

Concerning Draik Eggs...

Bear in mind that you don't have to be super rich to feed the hungry Kaddies; an item worth over 90k will appear less than 2% of the time and 1,174 items out of 1,402 (84%) cost under 5,000 neopoints; I personally have never spent more than 5k on a Kadoatie. Foods like the Blue Draik Egg are requested by the Kadoaties, but I would not recommend spending over a million points for one feed. However, we should commend whomever feeds using a rare item such a Blue Draik Egg, Mint Kyrii Ice Cream, or Happy Anniversary Negg because of the great public service that he or she has done. Feeding Kadoaties with an expensive appetite frees up a spot for others to feed. Thus, more people can feed and less competition and friction will exist between feeders. So thanks to anyone that has been so generous to the Kadoaties and fellow feeders!

New and Upcoming Features

My newest features are the updated statistics and the beginner's food list - enjoy! As a heads up, I've decided to include my Kadoatery plans for the future. The following is a list of additional features that I will be adding to my pet pages and the priority of each. Feel free to contact me with any suggestions.

1. Finally revise shop wizard username groupings

2. Update my user lookup to be more Kaddy oriented

3. Add FAQ section

4. Remove $$$ and ** symbols to my full Kadoatery list where applicable

5. Add $$$ and ** symbols to my full Kadoatery list where applicable (may take up to 30 hours to do this, so this might not be done until I'm done with school in May)

6. Re-update statistics

7. Write Kadoatie related articles
