Hi,
princess__ashton, and welcome to princess__ashton's
quick links and help guide. This guide is to help show you the way to
the painted pets, massive shops, huge bank accounts, and other neopets
goals you would love to attain. Whatever you want to achieve, however,
it starts with neopoints, and this page will help you get them! If you'd like, you can also check out my shop. Updates Jan 02 07 UPDATE TIME!!!! Yay, a new layout. Three cheers! I have added an FAQ section to the site (Check it out in the table of contents to the left.) It will be under constant construction, and expect to see it getting updated pretty regularly. www.neopets.com/~vinnzulla Random Events Here are all the random events I have screenied so far off the site. I will add them as I get them.          Time and again, people tell me that they cannot get things in their shop to sell; they say their Shop Tills never seem to say anything but "0 NP". Well, that is because you are forgetting the three most important rules of running a great shop: Pricing, Advertising, and Networking. Pricing Pricing is the most important facet of your shop: It will get you noticed on the shop wizard, and that is the first place most neopians go to find specific items. In order to be noticed on the shop wizard, you must learn how to make it work to your advantage. Every item sold in Neopia has a price that fluctuates due to demand. The only way to keep on top of it is to use the shop wizard. Go to the main shops menu, and enter the name of the item you are trying to sell. Make sure that you use the drop down menu, and change it to "identical to my phrase". The results will come up in order of price, from lowest to highest. Want to make your item sell? Price it a point or two below the lowest price (for cheaper items) and five to 50 points below the lowest price (for more expensive items). This makes your item come up at the top of the list, which means buyers take it before anyone else's. You may also want to try your hand at restocking. Check the main shops (like the food shop, or petpet shop) and look for things that you can buy cheaply and sell for a greater value. There are pages and pages devoted to restocking (look for links at the bottom of the page) but really, the process is quite simple. Advertising This is a simple idea. Go to the "your shop" icon on the yellow scroll of the shops map. (Your shop looks like a little yellow house.) Then, click "shop front". Copy and paste the address from the URL bar onto your siggy you use on the message boards. Instant advertising! Try advertising on the shop boards, as well. Be honest about what is in your shop, be coherent, literate, and LeAvE oUt Da WiErD tYpE. Networking This is even easier. Say you have a Neofriend who loves plushies, or you notice someone on the boards with a username that shows they love plushies. Maybe they even post or have a siggy that says they love plushies. (Neopians are usually very upfront about their obsessions, LOL). Send them a neomail! Be polite, mention you noticed whatever it was they were interested in, and include a link to your shop. Don't spam boards, and don't neomail more than once, unless you get an interested response. This is harassment or off-topic posting and can get you frozen. Also, try creating linkable banners and buttons that go to your shop. Post the banners that you create on your shop layout, or petpage, and put the html in a table below it. Get your neofriends to link to you, and poof! Booming business. Put it UP! So you have neopoints in your shop till. Now what? So, you know what you're doing now (sort of.) You have neopoints in your till when you check it in the morning. You're playing games. Now what? The most important thing to remember is not to blow all your work! You worked hard, and if you want your rewards to show that, then you have to use those points wisely. The first step is to decide your goal. Right now, my goal is to collect all the petpets and petpetpets in all the colors, and all the petpet paint brushes, and then to put them in a gallery. Maybe you want to paint all your pets, or get a petpet, or get the lab map. Maybe you want the faerie queen doll avvie, or to get a million NP. Whatever it is, make a plan, stick to it, and DON'T SPEND YOUR NP! Here's how to do it without starving your pets: Check them into the neolodge. You can do this for not a lot of NP, and you can be sure they will be happy, well fed, and not sick for the whole time they are in there. Plus, you can still play with them! That's why my Bruce has a "on Holiday" sign pretty much all the time. It's part of the secret to my success. But it will take FOREVER!" I hear that so often, and it simply isn't true. A lot of people don't realize that if they put up 20K a day (which I can do easily, through games, in under two hours)then they can have a MILLION neopoints in under two months. Wow! So here is your project: make a plan. Figure out your goals, and find out EXACTLY how much it will cost you to get there. Then add 1000 NP to that amount, and that is your NP Goal Amount. Then figure out how many NP you can put away every day, and divide to figure out how many days it will take you. Then stick to it! Motivate yourself with a wall chart, a cross-off list... try changing your neoboard siggy when you post on the neoboards (I.E.: 200,000/1,000,000 NP could be your siggy). You'll be rolling in the points in no time. The stockmarket! Instant millionaires! Money! Fame! Suspense! Want to get the lowdown on the stockmarket? Everyone seems to be buzzing about the stock market. Some people claim it to be a waste of time and money, some become instant neomillionaires. Personally? I play the stock market, and I play it hard. I get a rush watching my stocks go up (or down!) and building my portfolio is tons of fun for me. Here's a simple, simple, simple plan for making the most of your stock portfolio. The first thing you need to know is that this is not a get rich quick type deal. The second thing you need to know is that it is not for the poor neopian... quite the opposite. I reccomend having AT LEAST 500 K in the bank before you begin to try this venture. You need to have income you don't need immediately before you start investing - period. There is no way to sugar coat it... if you can't afford it, don't do it. So, you say, you have plenty of disposable income, and are ready to get started. Well, here is what you do. Take 15K out of your bank account. Then go to the gameroom, and scroll to the bottom, and click on stockmarket. You need to go to the "buy stocks" page, and find yourself a stock that is trading at 15 NP a share. Then, you buy 1,000 shares of it. You can only buy stocks trading at 15 NP and up... and although others disagree, I only buy if it is between 15-17 NP a share. Any more cuts into my profits. Repeat this process every day, trying to get as many different stocks in your portfolio as you can. Sell when the stocks have risen to a minimum of 45 NP a share (triple your investment). I hang on to mine, and sell above 100 NP a share, but that is because I have plenty of NP that I can afford to gamble. As long as you don't sell at a loss, you have made free money! Want to quit the game, and not feel bad about abandoning your pets in the pound, etc? All you have to do is go to the Self Freezing Link. Hidden Game Codes Free, secret, and legal There are a whole lot of games to play in the gameroom. Want to know a secret? Most of them have hidden bonuses, "cheats", or codes. Wait, you say, isn't that against the rules? No! Simply go to the Neopian Times if you don't believe me. In most issues, there is at least one game guide.... Read through it and I bet you will find at least one game code. So, use these, have fun, and greatly increase your NP earning power! The following are the "secret codes" for all the games I knowd them to, in alphabetical order.
What happened? Most people get frozen by offending other users. Remember, Neopets is a kind place, a fun place, and mostly a GAME. The users that love to play this game are a community....which means there are consequences to doing things that hurt other people. Reading the Neopets rules before posting on the chat boards is a biggie: Here are a few things that will get you reported. Posting usernames other than your own,begging,scamming,spamming,fishing for pwords,comments about how 'hot' someone is, using neopets as a dating service,stealing other peoples words,pictures,or other things that belong to that person. IE, if you want to use my guide, fine. Link to my guide, great, and I will link your shop in return. Steal my stuff and I find out? Reported!!! You've been warned. Begging, Scamming, and Donating A sure way to get lots of people reported, and lots of players on your case. d So, you figure you just aren't earning neopoints fast enough. You decide, hey, let's go to the boards. You put a message that says how badly you want *incrediblyexpensiveitem*, and cross your fingers as you hit "post". Wait! What's this? Fifty replies to your message... and all of them evil. Next thing you know, you're frozen. Oops. Now, hold on. I know what you're thinking. That isn't very nice. There are lots of rich neopians that have more than they need! Well, the people that have that much worked so hard to get it, that they know it can be done,they know how hard they worked for it, and they simply will not part with it. Period. Lots of older players even dislike the "Care to donate" siggys that seem to abound these days. Anyhow, moral of the story, please, don't be a n00b. Don't beg, ask, plead, cajole, ask nicely, bribe, or barter for the things you want. You have the tools... earn them the honest way. Unless you want fifty angry Neopians on your case, reporting you and telling you the same thing I just did (though usually in a much less nice way). The Hidden Tower Fyora's secret (and very expensive!) shop. The hidden tower is one of the most expensive shops in Neopia. You can get avvie items here, or just buy expensive things to put in your gallery. Whatever you decide to do, remember that Fyora doesn't haggle, and so if you want to buy it, have the WHOLE asking price on hand, cause that's what you'll be paying for it. Help! My pet is sick! Oh no! Your precious pet has come down with a case of *fill in sickness here*! What now? First of all, calm down. We all know how much we love our pets. DO NOT LET THIS LOVE MAKE YOU FALL PREY TO A SCAMMER! Take a deep breath, and remember that no matter what, your neopet can not die. Don't buy expensive cures. Don't panic. Don't blow all the hard-earned NP you have worked so long for. Here is what you do: go to the Faerie Healing Springs. Then click "Heal my pets" and hold your breath. One of three things will happen: 1)The faerie will tell you that all your pets' health has been completely restored. YAY! Do your happy dance and go on. 2)The faerie will boost your pets' stats, such as hit points, but doesn't heal your pets. Take a deep breath, note the time, and come back in half an hour and try again. 3)The faerie will give you a potion. This is not a cure for your pet. Sell it in your shop. Take a breath, note the time, and try again in half an hour. Every half hour, if your pet hasn't been healed, you can try again. I PROMISE that your pet will get healed. Sometimes it may happen the first time; some times, the tenth. Nevertheless, your pet will come out healed and none the worse for wear. F.A.Q. The most frequently asked questions that I get neomailed to me are answered here. Q: I read your page, and I didn't get a paintbrush! A: The page tells you how to get the points you need in an effective way so that you can earn enough to get yourself a paintbrush. You don't get a free paintbrush just for showing up. Q: Why aren't your pets painted? A: As you can see by the size of my shop, I put a lot of time and almost all of my neopoints into upgrading and stocking my shop. Also, I'm waiting on specific colors to be released for my bruce and poogle. Q: Your cheat codes don't work! A: They do work, I have tested them myself, thouroughly. What you need to do is type it on on your keyboard at any time during the game. If the game has breaks between levels (like Ice Cream Machine) enter it then. Q: I found a new cheat/ new way to make points / new link for your directory! A: Thanks for being on the lookout and sending those to me! Please understand that I do get a lot of neomail, and while I might not get to thank you personally, please know I am very grateful. It may take me a while to get them onto the page, as I have to test it if it is a cheat, and check the link out thoroughly before I assign it a category on my poogle's petpage if it is an addition to my directory.
