Introduction
Customization came early 2007 to Neopets by storm, along with the new look.
It was frowned upon by very many users, because they enjoyed the looks their pets had right then and there, and it was foolish to change your pet into a uniform pose just to apply clothing.
Some pets had the choice to be converted, but that was limited to the more expensive colors. Those with colors that were inexpensive were changed overnight.
However, although in such an unchangeable situation, the owners took advantage of this by making it fun. Thus, rating and "beauty competitions" were made. Along with that came trophies and so much more, to show their fashion status all over Neopets.
This guide was made as a way to develop how a rating could be made, and what exactly is frowned upon in the rating world. Keep in mind that as much as this guide shows, only you can decide how your ratings could, and should be given.
What is a "rating"?
A "rating" is a score given to a Customised Neopet based on the rater's opinion of how the pet is dressed. It is usually given on a scale of one to ten, and often on the "Customisation" Neoboard.
