Hello and welcome guest to Elements! I hope you enjoy your stay here at my little corner of Neopia.
My name is Grace and I run this site. My neopets username is firestar_34 and I'm quite talkative. Please feel free to throw me a neomail. ^^ I don't mind random chat.

Why the name Elements? Well, we all know the four first basic elements. Fire, water, air and earth. People used to believe that those four elements made up the world. (However, nowadays scientists now know that this is not the case, hence the Table of Elements.) Speaking of that, I believe that this site has the four main elements to a graphics site. Shields, banners, glitters and backgrounds. Four main elements, four graphic elements. The name fits, does it not?

I had the shock of my life when I realized the existence of yellow watermelon. Yes, yellow watermelon. At first, when my mom handed me a few slices, I thought it was mold and freaked out. I mean come on. Watermelon is red, and I've lived my whole life with red watermelon. But then, I was like "Ohmigod! Why is it yellow?!" Then my mom assured me that it tasted regular, and I wouldn't be sick. Still, I thought it was funky looking mold. And I thought that watermelon doesn't mold! But I tried it anyway. It actually did taste like a regular watermelon. But now I feel so stupid. xD Life lesson here: "If you see yellow watermelon, don't freak out. It's like regular watermelon."

So many things have happened! I realized that I forgot to mention that I'm at summer camp, which is the reason for the lack of updates. Sorry about that.

One thing that's great is that the weather has cleared up! It's been sunny, warm and not as rainy.
I was so lucky, and got to see The Blue Man Group! It was… amazing. Just plain awesomesauce. I was laughing and smiling nearly the entire time. You see, they have this way of being funny, but they're incredibly serious and don't talk or smile. It's so unique, like nothing I've ever seen before. I highly recommend it to all of you guys!

Wow. I hadn't realized how long I went without updating! You see, I go to a camp and it goes until uber late at night. Finally I found some time to get on the computer and update. xD
And gee, the weather has been terrible. It's cold, rainy, cloudy and just plain miserable. Yesterday I made the mistake of playing some soccer with my friends out on the field. It was so wet, and by the end my sneakers had little pools of water in them. Yes, I had to take them and turn them upside down so all the water could flow out. And they're still not dry! Also, swimming practice was canceled four days in a row. (Darn lightning storms!) But to look on the bright side, the weather is supposed to get a little sunnier and warmer next week!

Note: I will not be able to update this weekend. I will be having a swim meet that is quite far away. That means that I will most likely not be able to get on a computer during that time. If I can, there won't be enough time for me to update. So, until Monday!

Have you heard the song Starstruck by Lady GaGa? It's great! I'm going through this Lady GaGa phase right now. A few months ago, I listened to Poker Face for four hours straight. (I'm a teensy bit obsessed. ) Before I got into Lady GaGa, I worshiped Nickelback. But come on. His songs are pretty dang good. xD His Gotta Be Somebody is brill. Haven't heard of it? Oh meh gawd! Go listen to it! You won't regret it. At least I think that it's great!

Please read!: I have been notified that the layout looks horrendous in Internet Explorer. I've heard that the text is mis-aligned. So to all you IE users out there, please switch to Firefox, Safari, Opera or Chrome. However, to see the layout in all it's glory, please use Firefox. (Which is the browser that I use. ) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience!

I'm now officially addicted to the new 5 gum, Elixir. It's like bubblegum, but more sour. Oh meh gawd. It's brilliant. But if I chew it for more than an hour, I get a headache. But you should try it! ^^
Also, today as I was tuning my violin, my E string snapped. That was the first time a string of mine snapped. Now I need to get a new one. Grrr.. At least I didn't drop and break my violin though. xD That would have been terrible. All of you violin players out there, you know how much they cost...

And now... Site Updates! Yay. :3
I scored 85% at Cookie Monster Reviews! A B. Hey, that's not that bad! But the reason was because she uses IE, which alerted me that the layout isn't IE compatible as I mentioned earlier. But nevertheless, I got my very first award!

Also, I added a new requesting rule. If you neomail me pestering me to hurry up with your request, I will move you down to the bottom of the Waiting List.

I've started blogging! Wish me luck!

Anyway, I saw Angels and Demons yesterday! I had some pretty high hopes for it, because I read the book, and it was uber good. To all of you who haven't read it, go read it now. It's called Angels and Demons (Duh! xD) and it's written by Dan Brown. Sound familiar? Yesh, he's the same guy that wrote The DaVinci Code! (Tell me that you've heard about that before.)
But the movie was disappointing. *heavy sigh* They altered it so much! They even took out some of the most important parts! But I think that if you haven't read the book and saw the movie, you would probably really enjoy it. ^^ And now, site updates. xD
Today, I completed three requests. And I still have a ton of requests! But never fear requesters! I will finish them sooner or later. Also, one new affiliate!

And, I got reviewed 76/100 at Vintage Flair. xD But it was a helpful review, with lots of good comments so I'm not going to complain.

Finally, I cleared out the old updates if you haven't noticed yet. ;)

Oh yes. Did I mention that school got out yesterday too? I'm so happy! *cries tears of joy* A whole summer of freedom awaits me!
