Further Instructions

This is a simple game to learn; you guide Albert around the maze using your arrow keys.

You collect ten (10) items on each level. These are spooky food items and are shown at the top of the screen

You want to avoid the monsters/enemies and pick up the powerups that help you. Unfortunately these are also spooky food items but you can tell the difference as the powerups/downs have a pink outline.

Each item, whether a powerup or not, is worth ten (10) points.

Items are in the same place on each level each time you play it. Each level is identical each time you play.

Push over a moveable stone (plain ones) with the spacebar onto an enemy to get fifty (50) points.

You also need to push them over to create entry/exits for yourself and to collect items and powerups.

Monsters/Enemies

I have only encountered four enemies. Three are spooky petpets, the other is more tricky to look out for...

You can usually avoid them but it is obvious if you haven't as you fade as does your light:

Push over a moveable stone (plain ones) with the spacebar onto an enemy to get fifty (50) points.

Chumablah
Jowlard
Ghostkerchief

Can float through objects
Sentient Stones

These are trickier as they look similar to normal stones until they start moving about. And they regularly switch between the two forms.

If the stone is stationary and you run over it, it instantly starts moving again and your light fades (thanks horsey0luver)

Powerups

Each powerup collected gives you ten (10) points.

Pink Spooky Popcorn

Makes you move faster
Pink Apple Lantern

Increases your light

Powerdowns

Each powerdown collected gives you ten (10) points so, whilst they may be annoying, they do have a use.

Almost Gummy Rat (Strawberry)

Makes you move slower
Mummified Negg

Decreases your light

Levels

Level 1-5 are of an outside (graveyard) design.

Level 6-11 then moves to an inside (crypt) design.
I can find this a little more tricky due the candlestick holders, which can confuse me into not seeing spaces to walk through.

Thankyou to kleinehexe666 for the screenshot.

Level 11-16 is an underground cave (thanks to jinna04)
Apparently you push over cones of stones that have their tip missing and there are more Ghostkerchiefs (thanks kinya66)

Thankyou to kleinehexe666 for the screenshots.

Level 16 has a big boss (thanks lulken)
He needs to be hit three times with a tombstone to beat him and finish the game (thanks thexc)

A HUGE thankyou to buru_beri_shiroppu for the maps of levels 1-5.

NO STEALING!

News

Two NM's in October 2009 shows people are still using my page: from itsjustmonie I got "thanks for your tutorial! i was able to get one of my dream avatars" and from tears_of__a_warrior it was "Wow, Your guide is AMAZING! The Maps REALLY hepled! thank you so much!"

The Better Than You for 27th August 2009 was Albert scoring 3800 on MGDII.

Listen to those howls. Nothing like the Haunted Woods on a full moon. Say, you want to have a race in the graveyard tonight? I bet I can beat you blindfolded!

The prize was a Ghostkerchief Dagger:

farquhar NM-ed to tell me "Hey, thanks for the great guide! Usually I was lucky to get through level 2, but as soon as I read your guide I got to six! Very helpful & the maps were awesome! Thanks so much!"

On the 27th May 2009, a new avatar was announced for MGDII. You need 2250+ to gain it.

I got a few NM's so thankyou for letting me know about the avatar and the score needed.

I wasn't surprised by the page views as we hadn't had a new avatar for almost a year! I hope this page helped!

the_frightener_666 said they "thought it was a "Great guide!"

x_x_jannu_x_x let me know "There is new avvie! So awesome you have a pawnful guide."

flossets NM said "I'm a slow learner on games, I have to do hands on before reading a guide. I finally got the avatar today but wanted to let you know that I read your guide and I should have actually read it sooner. You have it all mapped out lol. I actually love the game now and will certainly keep playing to better myself and hopefully gain a new trophy again someday. Nice job on it!"

On the 10th March 2009, MGDII was the Daily Dare game and thus I've had quite a few NMs. :D

dragonir84 said "I really want to thank you for the good petpage about this game"

kleinehexe666 let me know that "If you use your arrow keys while pushing the gravestones, you can let them fall to the left and the right too!" I've not been able to recreate this myself yet... She also gave me some screenies of later levels "and *thanks* for the useful gamesite"

lacrima696 said "I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your fantastic page! Without your help I couldn't have done it!"

lotr_gal619 had "just wanted to say that it's a great guide and it really helped a lot. Before, my highest score was 110-Now it's 905. Thanks."

4mimi told me "I want to THANK YOU so much for your guide, I have been told so many ways to do it and tried every guide I could find. Your guide is so well done and easy to follow that I beat AAA on first try. I only got to 880 because kitty pressed something when I went for coffee and lost my last life. Since 880 was enough to beat AAA I was so happy I sent it. You did a amazing job and I will probably play it more often because I love maze games. CONGRATULATIONS"

Please NM me if you know any information I have missed out in this guide.
