OPD: Obsessive Plot Disorder
We are the guild obsessed with Neopian Plots, but there isn't always a plot going on, so we have TONS of activities to entertain us during the lulls. The purpose of this page is to archive all the activities that keep us entertained between plots, so we can reference them in the future, if need be. If you have something you'd like to see here, please feel free to
neomail me
with your suggestion.

It was go to work with a fellow neopeian day today and you got the unfortunate chance of being pared up with Bob. You had been helping him for most of the day and he seemed to be getting angrier as the day went along (or maybe that was because you dropped a big bucket of rubble from the Sleeper statue you were suppose to be cleaning up). Anyhow the power went out just as you were working (Bob said something about the Altador Power Distribution Plant giving some power to the haunted woods so they could dig up graves in the pitch black of night). Bob was extremely angry now so he told you that there were three switches just outside the room to turn on the light in the room (luckily the halls of heroes had a generator but you had to return on all the lights for it to kick in). He then proceeded to tell you that you must correctly guess which switch turns on the light bulb in the room when you return. If you don't guess correctly you will be fired and although you would like that you wouldn't get paid anything for all your work. You exit the room and stare at the switches. If you are allowed to check in the room only once (your one chance is when you enter to tell Bob the correct answer) to see if the bulb is lit or not (this is not visible from the outside), how can you determine with which of the three switches the light bulb can be switched on? Do you know the answer?
Answer: To find the correct switch (1, 2, or 3), turn switch 1 to 'on' and leave it like that for a few minutes. After that you turn switch 1 back to 'off', and turn switch 2 to 'on'. Now enter the room. If the light bulb is it, then you know that switch 2 is connected to it. If the bulb is not lit, then it has to be switch 1 or 3. Now touching the light bulb, will give you the answer: if the bulb is still hot, then switch 1 was the correct one; if the bulb is cold, then it has to be switch 3

Bob walks into the Archives office grumbling about last week's conundrum.
Why is it always the Yurble who did it?" "Well," the Archivist replied, "You have been the source of many plot problems you know.
WHAT!?!?!" screamed Bob. "Well I never..." "You think you are so smart eh? Well How about this.. I have a riddle for you this time." Bob pulled out a crumpled, rather dirty piece of paper from his janitor uniform and spread it on the table. It read:
How would you rearrange the letters in the words
new door
to make one word?
Note: There is only one correct answer.
My brother in Neovia helped me find that one." muttered Bob.
Hmmmm," pondered the Archivist. "OH! I know! The answer is...."
Do you know whta the archivists answer will be?
Answer: one word

A Lenny, who worked in the archives, had been sorting his notes for a book he was writting. When he finished, he accidentally left a pageof parchments on his desk. This page held the secrets to navigating the Anubis Toxicology section of the scroll repository and was therefore a great treasure. When he ralized he had left it behind and returned for it a short while later, it was gone. Only two other persons could have seen the page. One was his assisant Gilly, who was in altador on a vacation from working with Sophie; the other was the Bob the gardener who was on hiatus from shovelling dirt back into graves in Neovia.
Gilly told him that she had hidden it for safekeeping under a green book that was on the desk. But when they looked the bill was not there. Bob said he had found the bill where Gilly had left it. He had placed it inside the book, where he thought there was less chance that somebody would find it. He had written down the page numbers so that he would not forget them. The page was between pages 45 and 46 in the book, he said. But when they looked, there was no parchment in the book. After the archivist had talked to Gilly and the Bob the gardener, he called Chia Security. He was sure he knew who had taken the parchment. Who was it, and how did he know?
Answer: The gardener did it. The Archivist knew the gardener was lying because pages 45 and 46 in a book are always printed on opposite sides of the same piece of paper.

One day Bob visited his anger management therapist for his usual session. The therapist thought that Bob had made some progress so she gave him a question to answer. She said "what has four legs but only one foot?" Bob then exploded and yelled "this is one of those Lenny conundrums isn't it, because I hate those! AAAhhhhhhh!! No amount of therapy will make me like those frustrating things!" Do you know the answer to the therapists riddle?
Answer: A bed.

Here is the super holiday trivia so get all of your other three answers ready. For this trivia take all of your answers and add the letters together (with a number replacing it) to get a number answer. Here is an example:
Say on the first week the answer was ABC the second week it was also ABC and the third week it was once again ABC. You would add the letter like this (D.1):
If I gave you an "answer" that looked like this CG9 (D.2) then you would need to figure out the answer in complete number form. If A=1, B=2 C=3 and so on then replace the letters with the corresponding numbers (which you would need to figure out). So the answer to this example would be 369. I will give you a number or to for a little help because other wise it would be almost impossible.
Now here is the answer to your questions in letter form (with a number or two to help) S8PCP6NILPA4. Please send your answer to me in NUMBER FORM. Hints: Spaces are counted as a zero, a number may not be used more then once and be careful with the difference between O and 0 (zero). Also, the numbers are only between one and ten (including ten and including one). Do you know the answer to the super holiday trivia?
Answer: A-3, C-8, D-5, E-7, I-6, L-9, N-1, O-4, P-2, S-10. 1082826119234.

One day Gilly decided to go and visit Sophie in her shack to visit her. On the door she saw a sign posted that said enter at your own risk! As she entered Sophie barked "you again. Don't you know that I have lots to do? I thought that I had gotten rid of you after we saved Neovia". Gilly was a little taken back and said "you're almost as tempermental as Bob". Sophie did not take this well and said "if you answer my riddle wrong then you will be the next ingredient in my potion". She asked Gilly "It's always 1 to 6, it's always 15 to 20, it's always 5, but it's never 21, unless it's flying. What is it?" Do you know the answer to the riddle?
Answer: A Dice

Gilly decided to get in line early for his daily advent calendar prize. She got there very early but there were still some people in front of her. The person that was in second place in line was very kind and in the holiday spirit and let Gilly move in front of her. What place in line is Gilly now in? Do you know the answer to the riddle?

Gilly decided to take a vacation to Terror Mountain after her work saving Neovia. While she was skiing down the mountain she saw the mountain patrol (which was Bruno who decided to get a job rather then hide in his cave for the rest of his life) coming towards her. "You have to get off the mountain Gilly. There is a gigantic snowball coming down the hill." Bruno safely got Gilly off the mountain and back to the lodge. Later, while watching the neopian news, she heard that the snowball grew so fast that is doubled its size every second. It took 45 seconds for the snowball to cover half the mountain. How many seconds did it take for the snowball to cover a quarter of the mountain? Do you know the answer to the riddle?
Answer: 44 Seconds

Bob decided to have some "fun" so he went to the space station and broke a window that was on the wall. He then proceeded to through a ball into outer space at an amazing speed of 8000km/h. To Bob's surprise he saw the ball hit another ball that was suspended in space. Bob (of course) was extremely angry. "My plan to take out my anger by having fun didn't work! ARHHHH!! It wasn't supposed to hit anything!" What happened to both the balls when Bob's ball hit the ball that was suspended in space?
Answer: Bob's ball would stop and the other one would shoot off at 8000 Km/h

Odd job Bob got another odd job filling up barrels with different flavors and kinds of Neocola. One day when he was filling the barrels with apple Neocola one of his co-workers walked over to him and filled a barrel that looked half full to the eye. We all know though that almost nothing is exactly half full. Then his co-worker asked him if he could find out whether the barrel was more or less then half full without using any measuring devices. Bob (hating problems like these) yelled to his co-worker "This seems like another one of those Lenny Conundrums and I HATE LENNY CONUNDRUMS! How is it possible to see if a barrel of Neocola is more of less then half full with out using measuring devices?
Answer: Tilt the barrel until it is almost overflowing, if you can't see the bottom it is more then half.

On Halloween night Bob attended a Halloween party with games and contests. In one contest, four Halloween items (a skeletons leg, a bag of candy, a jack-o-lantern, and a ghost negg) were been placed in four closed boxes (one item per box). Everyone guessed which item was in which box. 123 people participated in the contest (including bob) . When the boxes were opened, it turned out that 43 people had guessed none of the items correctly (among them was Bob) , 39 people had guessed one item correctly, and 31 people had guessed two items correctly. How many people guessed three items correctly, and how many people guessed four items correctly?
Answer: Three people: 0, four people: 10

After Bob's little "spell book" incident the Altadorian archivist was not too eager to let Bob back into the archives. So when Bob came back the next day the archivist was ready. "You now have to answer a skill testing riddle to enter the archives Bob" said the archivist. Bob looked angry but reluctantly agreed. The archivist asked "Which room has no door, no windows, no floor and no roof?" Bob just turned around and left knowing that he could not answer the question (well at least he didn't erupt in anger, right?).
Answer: A Mushroom.
