Hello, I am Jacky. I was named after Cimms' beautiful and amazing Border Collie, Jacky. She sadly passed on in February, 2008 and will never be forgotten or replaced. I'm the mate of Shep and the mother of Aimee. I live in the woods with Shep and Aimee, but I am also welcome to stay with my owner. I love swimming and hunting. Shep and I are starting to teach Aimee how to hunt. She's getting really good, and is starting to understand the techniques we teach her.

**My artwork for this page is extremely old and hasn't been updated for about four or five years, along with the story and descriptions. So please just imagine a better image of Jacky based off of her reference. :3 I may or may not update this page. We'll see.

A soft breeze made its way through the tall grass. The air smelled fresh on this crisp spring morning. The birds began swooping around and chirping in the trees. The quick rush of a distant river could be heard.
A Lupe made his way back to his den, carrying a nice catch of prey. When he entered the den, he saw his mate, along with their cub nestled against her fur, breathing peacefully. He dropped the prey in front of the Lupess, and she woke up. She ate it, licking her jowls when she was finished. She licked her cub, making it wriggle and wake up. It started eating its meal, as well as what was left of the meat.
The male Lupe left on his morning hunt. The Lupess decided to go find herself some berries to snack on. She told her cub to be careful and stay near the den. Once she left, the cub bounded out of the den and went on her own little journey around the territory. She chased squirrels, bugged the fish in the pond, and rolled around in the grass. Then she heard something. It was the sound of a mouse wandering on the ground. The cub pounced at it and missed, but chased the mouse into a meadow. Before she could get at it again, it had ran inside the comfort of its hole.
The cub growled and barked at it, challenging it to come out. After a while of it not responding, she got bored. She realized then that she had left her own territory and ended up in strange land. This didn't scare or worry her; she just became more adventurous. She ran around in the grass, seeing if she could find more mice to bug. She didn't find any, so she dug holes in the meadow instead.
The cub decided it was time for her to head back. She began walking from where she entered the land, when she heard a screaching behind her. She looked back and only saw a shadow. An instant after, she was pierced and then taken to the sky. A large hawk had swooped her up. It began taking her away from where she wanted to go. Panicking and in pain, the cub bit at the bird, wriggled, and clawed at it with her sharp claws. It got tired of the struggle and released her, heading on a quest for easier prey.
The cub fell, howling with fear until she hit water. She yelped with pain as she smacked the water's surface, and swung her paws frantically, trying to swim once she went under. As soon as she broke the surface, she gasped for air and swam to the shoreline. When she reached land, all of the pain from the struggle came to her. She whined continually, and fell over trying to relieve some of the pain.
The cub awoke to afternoon. She had taken a nap and some of the pain was gone. But then a fear struck her. She was lost. She let out howls, yelps, and barks. But none were returned. She whined and paced in circles.
The Lupess had been home for some time. Both her and her mate were used to their cub going on journeys and strolls. She usually came home by noon. The Lupe had just entered the den when the Lupess began to worry. She told him that their cub still wasn't home. Both were worried and decided to go looking for her.
The real worry set in when the cub's scent was outside of their territory. As soon as they lost the scent, they let out howls. They waited, and the howls were returned, never stopping until the cub saw her parents. Her father leaped across the river and landed on the bank. He grabbed the cub by the scruff of her neck and leaped back. Both parents licked her and whined in relief, then headed back home, the cub carried by her father.
She never left the cover of trees without watching the sky, until she was big enough to eat a hawk. The experience from her childhood made the Lupess cautious and wary of her surroundings. She grew into a fearless but wary adult.
