Hello there, friend! I am Isalae Ice Strike. I'm a traveling Ice Wocky. I believe there is nothing quite like visiting a new place and meeting new people.

Ah, what did you say your name was? guest? It's so nice to meet you, guest!

Oh, how silly of me. If you're here, there must be a reason. Would you like to hear about my story? That's what most people come for. They usually say something like, "Well, you're an ICE Wocky! You must not be able to travel very far... How would you make it to the desert? A hot tropical island? Are you even able to leave the Ice Caves at all?" While that seems to make perfect sense, it isn't true. You see, I'm not a normal Ice Wocky...

When I was just a pup, I loved nothing more than a good adventure. I'd travel all over my small hometown just looking for a good experience, and sometimes even a bad one. When I was still very young I'd sneak away from my mother and my siblings to go have some fun on my own. I had so many brothers and sisters that I usually just wanted some time alone to think. One day, there was supposed to be a big storm coming in from the North, but I didn't know. I went out looking for some fun and got lost. When the storm hit I had no way of getting out of it. The storm became a full-blown blizzard and it chilled me to the bone. I had no where to go...

When I woke up, I was buried in the snow and ice. My first thought was how everything was white. Normally, a pet's first thought would be how cold they were, but this didn't strike me as odd at the time. I dug my way out of the snow, and when I got to the top I realized that I had enjoyed being inside the snow better than I liked being outside of it. It was then that I realized that I could see through my legs. I screamed.

After I had calmed down enough, I gave myself a full check. I wasn't hurt, but I was made entirely of ice... My mother had once told me about a Clan of Bori in the North who were said to be made of ice, but I had thought that it was only a legend...

I took notice of my surroundings, but there wasn't much to see. Everything was plain, undisturbed white. It was quiet. I had no idea where I was, and now I was even more lost than I was before! I buried myself back in the inviting snow to think. After I had rested a while, I made up my mind. This snow would eventually melt, and I didn't want to stick around and see what would happen to me under the same conditions.

I wandered toward what looked like it could be a building, far off in the distance. It turned out to be a giant building, and it housed a nice herd of Kaus. I knocked on the door, and a very nice Faerie Kau greeted me.

Hello there, pretty little Wocky! What might your name be, and how can I help you?" She said cheerilly.
My name is Isalae, ma'am. I'm lost and I don't have any idea where I am. Could you please tell me how I can get to Milltown? That's where I'm from." I said, trying to be very respectful.
Oh, you poor dear girl!" She said, looking concerned. "Of course I can tell you where Milltown is! But please, come inside and get warm for a while, we have plenty of room."
So I went inside to have a seat with my new friends. They were all very friendly, especially ***, who had been the one to greet me at the door and invite me in. It wasn't too long before I got too warm, however, and I realized I needed to leave before I melted. "Please ***, I'm sorry to leave so quickly when you've all been so wonderfully kind to me, but I'm afraid I might melt soon. You see, when I was lost in the blizzard I must've fallen asleep, and when I woke up I was made of ice..."
*** nodded, "Yes, yes. I had noticed there was something a bit odd about you. So you're not sure how you came to be this way? Poor dear... Come outside with me, I'll point you in the direction you need to go to get to Milltown."
So we went outside and I said my goodbyes, but I promised to come back and visit again if I ever had the opportunity.

My trip home was long and lonely. It took so long that the sun went down and I had to spend the night sleeping in the snow because I was scared to keep going and get lost in the dark. It was strangely comfortable, lying there in the snow... It felt almost like I was home. That scared me more than just a small bit, so as soon as I woke up in the morning I went on my way.
I finally arrived back in town at about midday. There were people out shoveling snow out of the way of the paths and away from their doors. Everyone seemed to be busy, but every time I walked by even a little close to someone, they stopped and stared at me. When I was past them I could hear them talking to someone else about me. "Did you see that?" they said. "I could see right through her!"

After what seemed to be a horribly long walk through town, I finally got to my house. Mother came running out the door as if a demon was chasing her, and she ran right up to me and stopped... She was staring at me. "Isalae..." she said carefully. "Where have you been? I've been worried sick! And... why am I able to see right through you?"
Momma!" I cried. I ran up and hugged her and sobbed into her fur. "Momma, I got lost in the blizzard and when I woke up I was made of ice! What happened to me, Mom?"
Darling, I don't know..." She said, sounding a little scared. "Maybe we should call the doctor... He might be able to tell us what happened."
So we called the doctor, and after hearing Mom's description he hurried to the house as fast as he could. I decided to stay outside to wait for him, I was afraid my ears would melt off if it took him too long. The doctor didn't have any more information, except a little bit of information about the legend of the Ice Bori Clan. He told us that once, long ago, there was a clan of Bori that lived inside Terror Mountain. They would overheat easily, so not many of them could leave the mountain caves at all, but they were all very fierce fighters and each one of them was said to have the qualities and merits of heros.
When I heard the part about the Bori not being able to leave the mountain, I was very upset. "I love traveling! I never want go give that up!" I cried out, distraught.
Now, calm down, little one." Said the doctor. "I'm sure we can find a way to help you out."

In the end, we decided it would be best for me to take a trip to Terror Mountain to see what I could find out. So I packed a few of my favorite things, and set off for that giant mountain in the distance...
