A Lost Explorer

Irvq is from ~the future~. She was originally part of a group of TIME EXPLORERS who were like futuristic archeologists. They would spend months/years preparing for "missions" in which they would blend in with cultures in various time periods and research their day to day lives for the Library's historical archives. Yet Irvq broke the ~rules~ when she fell in love with a boy and a time period, telling him !her big secret! This lead to her fellow time-travelers abandoning her in that time period, stripping her memory of ~the future~ and abducting the boy so that no more "damage" would occur.

Lost and confused in an unfamiliar era, Irvq feared she had lost her mind. She was ostracized by the community that had won her heart and wandered the streets absent-mindedly, sleeping where she could and eating what was given to her. The Fates smiled at her once more when Irvq rediscovered, rather by accident, some of her old abilities.

Unbeknownst to her fellow "explorers", Irvq is descended from Gatofem, the Great Goddess of the Stars. While the group of time explorers had relied on high tech, refined technology for their travels, Irvq possessed her own abilities and could do much of the same simply by accessing previously untapped mental faculties. Her Medulla Oblongata (the brain part that controls involuntary functions such as heartbeat and breathing, as well as being a nerve 'relay station') controlled her hidden abilities, which she was able to tap into in such a desperate time.

However, Irvq did not know what was happening. So, involuntarily, she would 'time hop'. This lead to great confusion – now she really thought she was going insane. Her clothes became tatty and she grew lonely with no one to talk to but herself. She was slipping farther and farther into herself, losing all sense of sanity and stability. She would time-port (time teleport?) from the ruins of Sakhmet to the sparkling Faeriland to the discovery of Geraptiku and then back to Faerieland, gaping in terrible awe at the community of stone Faeries. Consumed by fear and hopelessness, Irvq clung on to the one thing that remained constant: her identity. Gazing into any reflective surface – the beads of dew on yawning flower petals, a rippling pond, a mirror – Irvq was always the pale-green Aisha girl with striking red hair and an upside-down red triangle in the middle of her forehead. No one else looked like her and no one else could take that away. With this thought firmly in her mind, she vowed to discover the truth of her identity.

One day, a chance encounter with a young Yurble boy changed everything. She met him as she was recovering from another time warp (think of a word) in the ruins of Ouul, once a prominent town in the Darigan Citadel.
