Here are various stories that I have written about Ilumiere in both human and dragon forms. I am continuing to add new stuff to this page, so be sure to watch as this section grows larger.

Saving Seron: a short legend about the god of darkness in Mezuul: Ilumiere. The legend tells of his valiant battle to protect his people; even at the risk of his own life.		Long ago, deep within the history of Mezuul, there was a small city called Seron. The people of this city were iron miners, because Seron was located right in the middle of a large iron ore field. Hard working and meticulous, these people usually mined iron for their entire lives. Most everyone in Seron was happy with their life too, for the city had little poverty and had always kept peaceful relations with surrounding cities. Indeed, Seron was a quiet city, housing less than 30,000 people - however, as the moon glowed atop its arc in the star freckled sky (indicating mid day), the fat of Seron would drastically change. It looked to be nothing more than an unusually bright star, but it would move its position from time to time... The people of Seron weren't aware of the danger that lurked only a few million miles from their city - this star was getting brighter by the hour, and by the rising of the second moon (indicating about 3pm), this strange yellow star in the sky looked like it was heading straight for Seron. The people of the city panicked. Nothing like this had ever happened before and they were unprepared. Hundreds gathered in prayer to Ilumiere, pleading for protection from whatever was coming for them. The star loomed brighter and brighter before their eyes, they feared greatly that their prayers would not be heard in time - that their protector would leave them to befall whatever fate this mysterious falling star brought them. They were correct. Their prayers fell on deaf ears - no answer was revealed to them... and then a blinding light; a flurry of color shot by, and the earth shook violently. For a moment, all that was visible was smoke and dust, slightly shimmering with flecks of iron powder dancing upon the thick air. Roofs had caved in, shelves had fallen everywhere - the survivors crawled out from their crevices, while the dead lay unceremoniously strewn across the city. Destruction was all that they could see around them. Seron was completely destroyed. Silence befell the land. Sadness was all that could be felt as they gathered together to find anyone who had survived the resulting tremor from the crash of the mysterious star. From the crater that was created by the falling star, crawled a dragon. Its skin was a dark black color with streaks of red down its side. It bore steel-colored scales upon its face, with two fierce silver horns. Its eyes glowed a vibrant red color as it stared up at the people gathering at the edge of the massive crater. What had fallen was not a star - it was far, far worse. The only time an unknown dragon will appear upon the soil of another planet is for conquest - to invade that planet, kill off its protector, and leave the land stripped of all of its resources. Seron had never seen a dragon before - they had only ever prayed to Ilumiere, knowing that their world was protected by a dragon. The whole city, or what was left of it, stood in silence. They didn't know what to do - would they be killed by this dragon? Surely if they ran, there would be no escape for them. The foreign dragon flexed its wings as it drew nearer to them. Death seemed certain. A dark mist quickly took form - nothing was visible for a moment, and then the dragon was gone. The people were bewildered and wide-eyed. Where had it gone? No sooner than they had thought to ask, a deafening roar was heard from the sky. With a black mist surrounding him, a purple and blue colored dragon appeared. It was their protector; he had come at last to save them. A blur of black and a streak of red flew across the sky. The invader had planned an ambush on Ilumiere, knocking him out of the sky. The black dragon sunk its teeth deep into the skin upon his neck, ribbons of red flowed over his dark purple skin. The people of the village watched in awe as their protector struggled, several tried to help Ilumiere to no avail. All the while, it seemed like their protector was quickly dying before them; however, with a lucky swipe, a claw cut deeply across the black dragon's right eye and allowed Ilumiere to get to his feet. Bleeding heavily from his neck, he tackled the other dragon with great force - it fell back, roaring in pain. Ilumiere's eyes glowed wildly with anger as he stared down into the eyes of the invader... a dark cloud swirled around him violently. The black dragon struggled persistently, gasping for air as black dust filled its throat like heavy sand. Its red eyes faded quickly and then glazed over with a black color. Its limbs lay still finally, with its wings crumpled on the ground. Ilumiere had choked it to death. The people of Seron fell to their knees as Ilumiere turned to his people. But his eyes were closed as he faced them, a puddle of rose-red blood gathered at his feet. He stumbled and then fell... his wound was far greater than he had made it seem. Though Seron was destroyed, homes and families could always be rebuilt in time - but now, it was time to pay back their protector for saving their lives. After several days in a deep sleep, Ilumiere's wounds began to heal. The people had laid him before their city's central shrine with bandages wrapped around his wounds. They prayed every day for his recovery. One morning, Ilumiere was gone. In his place was a statue of a dragon with eyes like rubies - only a few statues like these exist, and they are called Lunopsols. Through these statues, Ilumiere keeps close watch over the place that the statue is located. Seron was bestowed with a Lunopsol statue for saving Ilumiere that day - as gratitude for their aid, the Lunopsol acts as his eyes and ears, watching over Seron for him. Protecting them for all eternity.
Royal Disappointments: Ilumiere copes with a family that doesn't understand him and their elitist expectations that he knows he'll never be able to fulfill...		As the robbins twittered amongst the first dark hours of dawn, the Luvri estate was beginning to stir. Housekeepers rose groggily to find their morning coffee by candle light, shuffling quietly through the grandiose halls that Marielle herself had envisioned when the estate was still but a young couple's romantic ideal. In a few hours, the sun would emerge across the sky, turning purple midnight to the pale face of spring porcelain. The stars would slowly vanish too, as one by one the daylight greeted them once again. From deep within the mansion, slippers were slipped into, and eyes heavy with a blanket of sleep were wearily rubbed. Rischier was mostly an early-bird, always being first to rise amongst his family. He would set about to his morning routines without failure every day, though he was always silently respectful to the undisturbed quietness that lingered throughout the house at such early hours; Marielle would wake in her bed soon after, hearing her husband close the door behind him as he left for the kitchen. The heavy velvet red curtain had been pulled back so that the white glow of the morning sun spilled across half of the room - Marielle's face was set aglow with a heavenly morning radiance, unaffected by the extent of her aging since she spent her first mornings as a young woman in this very room. Marielle would get up soon too, to join Rischier in the dining hall in the east wing of the mansion. Her husband would always stand before the grand bay window at the head of the room, coffee in hand, looking out over the garden and endless vineyard of the estate. They would silently appreciate the grandeur of the sight, never speaking a word, but in mutual understanding of the great things they had achieved in order to live in such a beautiful place. Indeed, this estate was their dream as a young couple. They talked romantically of how their children would grow up here, and that when they both passed on, their children would pass down the estate to their children, and so on for many generations. Marielle had dreamed of it to no end, but it was their combined fortunes that eventually made it a reality. And although both Rischier and Marielle religiously took in the powerful radiance vested in magnitude of this castle-like estate, their children seemed much less interested in the beauty of the impeccable views from which their rooms were oriented, but more concerned with their daily lives; perhaps this was because they were born knowing nothing other than the excellence maintained within these walls - Marielle and Rischier only silently acknowledged this notion with a sigh from time to time. Next to rise was Sethora Luvri, who proved to be a terribly energetic "morning person". Seth found an especially unbridled pleasure in his routine morning runs about the estate's many gardens and outdoor living areas - which he only ceased during fitful bouts of rain during the winter seasons. This morning, with a sky as pale as his mother's favorite porcelain tea sets, was simply perfect for a morning run. Quite the opposite of his brother, Ilumiere woke every morning like it was a painful task for him. Maids would continually knock on his door to wake him so that they could make his bed and clean his rather messy room - but it often would take more than that to get him up in the morning. The head of the maid staff of the Luvri estate, who was considerably well paid - yet clearly deserving of more for her troubles with Ilumiere - almost always had to pull him from his bed and shoo him out of the room. Ilumiere walked down the hallway, eyes half closed against the blinding white filtering in through the west wing hallways. Passed three rooms and down the right hallway to the first door on the left was the closest bathroom. As he unceremoniously walked himself into the marble-tiled room, the clock by the sink read 10:26am. No sooner than he had put his toothbrush to his mouth though, Seth could be heard jauntily walking down the hallway in his direction. Not but a minute later, Seth walked into the doorway with a his running attire on, a towel draped over his shoulder. "Hey loser," he said with a devious half-grin. Ilumiere all but acknowledged him. Seth was undeniably good at giving Ilumiere a bad time though, deciding that his morning shower couldn't wait for his little brother - so he shoved Ilumiere out of the bathroom and locked the door. Ilumiere staggered out of the bathroom with his toothbrush still in hand. "God, I hate you Seth," Ilumiere muttered angrily, finally throwing his toothbrush forcefully at the bathroom door before walking off down the hall. The toothbrush left a slight smear of toothpaste where it had hit the door, promptly cascading to the floor with a quiet plastic clattering sound, where it would sit until a maid was so lucky as to happen upon the mess. Ilumiere walked down the hall, feet treading quietly upon the well kept lily-white carpet. As he reached the grand hall, he began descending the half-spiral stairs to the main hall below. Midway, his father walks by; he stops, giving his son a curt, calculating look over. A silence quickly turns the moment awkward, forcing Ilumiere to speak. "...what?" was the only word he could find. His father glances off down the hallway for a moment and then says, "You look like a mess, son." Considering the circumstance, he does indeed look unkempt. His hair was sticking up in some odd places, as it often does when one sleeps like he does, and he was still wearing what he had slept in last night. His father shakes his head with his sharp brow slightly furrowed in restrained disappointment. In his defense, Ilumiere responded with an expletive, fervent to address the real cause of the problem. "Sethora decided to kick me out of the bathroom before I had a chance to even br—" he says, before his father sternly interjects. "Son, we have eleven bathrooms in this house! Do NOT tell me that you could not look more presentable because of being locked out of one bathroom." His father was nearly yelling, but held himself in check. He looked all the more commanding in his work suit this morning, putting Ilumiere sharply back into place. A moment passes of silence again, before his father takes his hands out of his pockets and sighs with disappointment. "Go get dressed, your tutors are waiting," he says curtly, before briskly walking away from the matter. At this point, Ilumiere was thoroughly dejected and felt no such desire to do as his father had instructed. Instead, he continued down the wide spiraled staircase and touched his bare feet to the cold, sleek marble of the main hall. A beautiful floral arrangement sparkled down the hallway a ways, basking in the glow that shone through the circular skylight above. The seven crystal vases were filled with various sweet smelling flowers, no doubt hand-picked from the garden this morning before the dew had even the time to settle upon their lush petals. Ilumiere walked across the hall, in the opposite direction of his father, continuing on to his favorite room in the mansion: his own personal gear room. As he entered, he pushed open the door emblazoned with logos from various snowboarding brands that he had come to appreciate. In this room he had numerous snowboards on a rack against the wall, and a closet full of rows of snowboarding boots, pads, and goggles. He changed quickly, grabbing a pair of snowboarding boots that he had always favored for their comfort, and carefully selected a board appropriate for dealing with spring-time snow in Vonova. This board has always been one of his favorite designs... it had his name written across it, with a fierce purple dragon at the front. It handled superbly well in unfavorable snow, and for this reason he used it quite often. He pulled on a pair of snowboarding goggles, letting them hang around his neck, and carried his gear out of the house without a word. On the way out, he thought he saw his mother in the large window of the dining room in the west wing of the house - but when he turned his head to look, she wasn't there. He always felt somewhat of a pang in his heart for disappointing his mother - she meant well for him, but could never seem to understand why he was so different from his older brother and sister. He continued walking again, reassured that his mother was not watching as he snuck out of the house to take an unannounced vacation for a few days up in his father's mountain lodge on the other side of Vonova. Jayden, the eldest flight attendant and a long-time friend of Ilumiere's, greeted him with an exasperated smile. "Another break from the usual business again, huh sir?" Jayden conjectured, with a small chuckle. "Yeah, I'm outta here for a few days," Ilumiere replied. "Where to?" asked Jayden, though he likely knew the answer already. "Wherever the snow is best this time of year...
