Disclaimer: I was not forced to make this petpage application by Jem or Joce, I chose to do so of my own free will.
Note: I am from New Zealand, and yes, we spell colour with a "u", and we also spell some other words slightly different. So please don't think I'm spelling every word wrong if they aren't the same as American spelling. xD
The cool air sweeps past you, making you pull your thin cardigan up and shiver involuntarily. You look down at the crumpled piece of paper wearily, once more reading the scribbled instructions written across it in a font that's hardly legible. 18 Stoneridge Lane, Nyem. You sigh, glancing around at your surroundings; it's much darker now, and the shop fronts are no longer illuminated by bright fluorescent lights. Instead, they are dark and shadowed, spiced muffins and pumpkin pies lying dead on the polished display cabinets. Just as you decide it's probably time to give up and head home, guessing that the message probably isn't that important anyway, you see a mysterious figure walking in the opposite direction. You can't see their face, just a black hood and nothing more. Wait! you call, but the stranger doesn't even glance back. With a sigh, you pull your cardigan up further, shove your hands back in your pockets - being careful not to disturb the carefully sealed brown envelope - and descend into the night, following someone who just might be able to help ...
Hello there, and welcome to my application for the beautiful Suoy! I'll start off by introducing myself; my name is Beth and I have been playing Neopets for well over 7 years now. :* After recently taking a year long break, I'm now back in the swing of things here and looking to develop all of my pet's characters and hopefully get some new additions to the family!
Enough about me for now (there will be a more in-depth section on me later), let's get on to the application. (: And a quick side-note before we begin - if I were to be chosen to adopt Suoy, I would request that she were to be painted Faerie, hence this application will be made as though she is already Faerie. Just to, y'know, let you know. c:
Anyhow, grab a drink, relax, and please do enjoy~

I thought I'd quickly explain how I've organised my application, just to give you an idea of the reasons why I've organised it in this particular way (because, yes, there is logic behind how I've organised it all!). I'm what you could consider a pretty neat and organised person (apart from when it comes to cleaning my room v.v), and I do tend to like things to be laid out neatly, just for peace of mind. xD So here's how it's gonna go down ...

I can, and never have been able to, force myself to think up a character for a pet; the spark of inspiration is either there, or not. Faerie Draik's have always been a dream pet of mine, even before the long hiatus I took - in fact, they've been a pet I've admired for many, many of my years on Neo. I wasn't expecting to find one so soon, but when I saw Suoy's up for adoption page, I was pretty much already thinking of character ideas for her. I /would/ say that it was love at first sight, but a) that's a little cliche, and b) Suoy isn't yet a Faerie Draik, so I guess you could say that I fell in love with the concept of her.
I kid you not, the day I saw Suoy was up for adoption, I could hardly sleep that night - mostly due to the fact that my brain had decided that midnight was the best time for me to suddenly come up with a whole character idea. xD I have scribbled notes in one of my journals that literally make no sense, but as a result of all this I did manage to come up with a character and personality for her. :3 There will be a whole section devoted to that next.
I absolutely love writing, and it's probably my main passion, so that is of course one of the reasons why I would love to adopt Suoy; since I was overcome with so much inspiration for her character, I have many story ideas and ways to further develop her personality and character. I would definitely have a lot of fun writing about her world and her adventures, and just expanding on her whole life in general. It's always awesome for me when I'm full of inspiration and have heaps of ideas stored away in the back of my brain, so yeah. :)

To conclude this section, I'd just like to say that yes, Suoy (as a Faerie Draik, of course) is, and has been for a long while now, one of my dream pets. I'd say she's number one on my list of dreamies, because ... let's be honest, Faerie Draik's are beautiful! But it's also her name that drew me in; I love the way it sounds (I pronounce it soy, just fyi) and looks. I'm quite name picky, even though I know I shouldn't be if it's a dream pet, but that doesn't even matter - Suoy's name is so beautiful!
(image of Suoy here, probs with future customisation? Though that might be in the next section *shrug*)
Number 349
Name Raelin Suoy [ray-lin soy]
Alias Suoy, Soy, Su [Don't call her Raelin]
Gender Female
Age 23
Occupation Time Keeper [see below for job description]
Identification (human) Long blonde hair with blue/green streaks, often worn out. Wide, ice-blue eyes with specks of silver. Very tall, pale complexion, has a smattering of blue freckles across her nose. Always wears her gold-bronze pocket watch around her neck. On nights when the moon is high, you can see a sort of glow that surrounds her.
Identification (dragon) More often than not number 349 is in human form, however her dragon form is very distinguishable. She has a thirteen-foot wing span and a long tail, pointed at the end and covered in blue tattoos. Her scales are mint green, with a lighter blue on the underside of her stomach and wings. Her eyes are blue, often lined in thick liner. Her pocket watch can always be seen around her neck.
Personality Very stubborn and independent, Suoy doesn't like to follow orders so much as give them. She is very persistent, and if there is something she wants bad enough, she will, without any hesitation, go to all ends to get it. Though ultimately extroverted, she often keeps to herself and only speaks when she feels the need to.
Attire A dark-green, almost black, enchanted cape, used to be unseen by evil spirits. Her pocket watch is a necessity, passed down through her family for generations (all of whom were also time keepers - the job runs in the family, almost like a curse for those who frown upon it). Her cape is donned with the timekeeper symbol [see reference below].
Job description The job of the Time Keeper is a blessing, or curse (depending on how you look at it) that has been passed through Suoy's family for thousands of years. It is a job that requires her to 'create' time for the whole of Faerieland, using a rare form of diamonds that has to be collected by a Harvester. The skills she possesses, passed down by her ancestors, are a form of very powerful magick that allow her to craft time out of these diamonds. If the diamonds were to run out, or were to be stolen, time would run out and cease to exist. With the pocket watch, a Time Keeper can also pause and stop time (however, such acts are forbidden under Binding Rule 826, page 1390), as well as travel backwards and forwards. Because of this, the pocket watch is also seen by some as a "key to the world", given the bearer can travel to any point in time.
The Time Keeper lives in the bustling city of Nyem, where everything in Faerieland is controlled (Nyem is known as the City of Power, given it powers everything above) by various workers. Nyem is underground, below Faerieland, and can only be accessed through an archway in Faerieland. There is only ever one Time Keeper needed; as soon as one passes, another dragon/human shifter is hatched to fill in the job almost immediately, after a few months of intense training.
Timekeeper symbol: /need to draw this!
It was dark out, and the air hung low with the promise of fresh snow, a promise that made the woodland creatures sink deeper into the shadows, and the plants hunker down low. All around, the night sung eerie melodies; the whistling wind was accompanied by the high-pitched howl of a lonely wolf, and the rustling of leaves tore through the night as creatures rummaged around like scavengers. The residents of Faerieland stayed tucked in their beds, fighting the cold beneath layers of wool and silk, fireplaces droning on endlessly. Locked doors lined the empty streets, and from within these houses tiny children peeked out frost-bitten windows, hoping to be among the first to see the flakes fall.
Below all of this spookiness, beneath the dirt and past the gnarled roots of old trees, right through it all, a town sat. Alight with lamps and bursts of illuminating colour, Nyem was bustling with energy. It was there that the sleepy down above was powered from, where the workers busied themselves with jobs and errands in order to keep things running smoothly. It was chaotic, but that's how they worked best.
Amidst it all, a young girl sat in her tiny wooden hut, speaking a low hymn. In front of her, sat peacefully on a smooth-coated desk, was a pile of glistening diamonds, each sparkling a million colours in the flickering lamp overhead. The girl had long, white-blonde hair, streaked with blue and green, and eyes as ice-blue as the snow to come. Her skin was smooth, pale, and blueish freckles danced across her nose and cheeks.
She was the Time Keeper, the one and only in Nyem, her sole purpose to craft time out of the diamonds that were harvested from even deeper within the earth for her. It was a skill only she, and her deceased ancestors, possessed; the skill, the power, to turn the diamonds into time. Without her, time would cease to exist, and the whole of Faerieland would freeze ... forever.
Her eyes snapped open suddenly, and in that split second, the pile of diamonds her hands were hovering over disappeared; poof. She smiled contentedly, eyes blazing with relief, and fingered the pocket watch beside her. It was any ordinary pocket watch; no, her pocket watch counted the hours, minutes, and seconds she had crafted. On her pocket watch, the hands literally counted down the time that was left.
She looked at the face of the watch, quickly calculating that she had crafted thirteen hours, fourteen minutes, and twenty-five (twenty-four, twenty-three ...) of time. Perfect - as usual, she was over the quota for the day. Or, night.
She yawned submissively, ready to go take her usual walk to the Time Vault, where she would revive the city with more time and power. It was her daily routine, one that she sometimes tired of, but something she had always been destined to do; besides, after that, she was free to do whatever. Within the constricts of time, of course, but she'd have a few hours to spare before she needed to craft more. Time, that is.
Just as she stood up, though, someone's frantic knocking thundered against her door. Annoyed, she glanced up, throwing her pocket watch quickly around her neck.
."Yes?" she questioned, simultaneously opening the door and tying a woolen scarf around her neck. A short, plump man stood at the foot of her door, brow furrowed, his height dwarf-like against the girl's tall figure.
."Miss Suoy! Thank Fyora you're here," the man exhaled, pausing for a moment before continuing, his voice urgent, "There's something, something you need to - it's very urgent - you see -
."Carl! Please, just spit it out," Suoy sighed, absentmindedly twirling the pocket watch around and around.
."Well, you see ..." he looked uncomfortably, as though he didn't want to be the one to bring the news. "The diamonds - they're gone!
."The - wait, what?" Suoy exclaimed, on the verge of hysteria. If the diamonds were - were gone then that meant ... that meant time would run out. Without the diamonds to craft time out of, everything was doomed.
."Someone stole them. Just yesterday!" Carl squeaked. His face was so red it looked like he was going to burst. "I - I don't know what to do ...
."We have to find them. Now."

I will, of course, never trade, adopt, pound, abandon, zap, morph, paint, or use any sort of Harry Potter-esque spell on Suoy, and I can assure you that is a promise I will keep. I feel like I should be making some sort of oath here ... I solemnly swear to forever keep Suoy within the safe boundaries of my account (s) and to never trade her off or adopt her out. She shall forever stay in my possession, and if I so choose that I no longer want her (though, let's be real here, that would probably never happen ... like, never) both Jem and Joce will be contacted and a further agreement will be made. That was pretty cheesey, but you get the point, I hope. :P

If I were chosen to adopt Suoy, she would take up residence on my main account, zonic_boom, along with my three (and currently only) permanent pets, Deleroe, Tucazin, and Thaltun. I'll be explaining to you about their characters and personalities soon. :3 Suoy would then complete that account, and I would create a nice pet look-up for her to match my other permies. I would also expand a lot on her character and story, and make a nice petpage for her to have those things on. Given I am no artist, I will request some art for Suoy (I did not have enough time to request and receive art of her to put in this app, unfortunately), but I think I might also have a go at drawing her myself. Like I said, I'm no drawing genius, but I do love art, and what's the harm in giving it a go? xD
I'm not a huge NC Mall fanatic, though I do love customising my pets a bit and making them look spiffy. ^^ Below are some of my ideas for Suoy's future customisation (notice that some of these are more related to her character, whereas others are just ... well, to make her look pretty). Some of these include NC items that are no longer available in the NC Mall, so I'd probably have to trade for them, which I've never done before, so that might take a while. xD Hover over the images for any further details.

These are only some of my customisation ideas, I'm sure it would change every now and then. If I were chosen to adopt Suoy, she'd definitely have the second customisation straight away, given all of those items are available in the NC Mall currently, and the NeoPoint items are easy enough to get.
Petpets are grand things, aren't they? Of course, Suoy will not go without, and I have already chosen a beautiful pet to accompany her. Ladies and gents, I present to you ...

So, yes, this is the petpet I have chosen for Suoy. I haven't yet bought/painted Cheryl, of course, but that process would happen ASAP if I were chosen to adopt Suoy. I chose this petpet because I think it matches Suoy's colours, and Cheryl is pretty cute, am I right? *Cheryl bangs on the door of her crate in Faerieland Petpets, demanding to be let out* -cough- Oh, yes, she's quite demanding, too ...
Yes, hi, hello, my name is Beth. c: This will be the part of my application for Suoy where I will tell you a bit about myself, on and off neo. I'm never really good at these "about me" things, so sorry if this is extremely dry to the point where you want to fall asleep, but just bear with me for a few minutes. xDLet's kick off with a bit of my Neopets history: I started playing when I was about seven or eight (I am now fifteen) with the account name animal_luver_284556. How I remember all of those numbers years later, I do not know, but that account has since been deleted because I forgot the word about six months after creating it. I do remember I had a purple pet, an orange pet, and a speckled pet, and thought I was extremely rich with my 30, 000 NeoPoints. After that, I had several other accounts and many pets, but it wasn't until I was a bit older that I created the accounts I use now. Previously, I would just mindlessly play games and feed my pets, but once I was introduced to the whole pet trading/adopting and various other parts of the site, I never looked back.
Nowadays, I have four accounts: zonic_boom, which is my main account, and my three side accounts cerulm, ralaka, and my newbie account darskel. Currently, I am waiting for TNT to give me back the birthday information for ralaka, since I forgot it after my hiatus and haven't been able to get on. (Note to self: If I ever create another account, put my REAL birthday!) So please excuse that the account ralaka has my name as 'Tiff', as this is the name I used to go by on Neo. But, y'know, I wanted a new start after returning from my hiatus, and a new alias on here seemed like a good idea.
On Neopets, I can usually be found lurking the PC, occasionally trading pets and posting, etc. I often play KeyQuest and other games to earn some money, and I am /constantly/ updating my pets pet-lookups, though I think I've finally got them how I like. I am working on re-vamping my permanent pets characters, however, as most of them are incomplete and need a lot of work.
Outside of neopets - yes, I do have a life, hurray! - I am a pretty introverted, quiet person. I love reading, writing, art, photography, animals, the Tube of the You (I am in love with about a zillion different peeps on there), being creative, biking, hiking, watching movies, and several other things. I am a HUGE nerd, especially when it comes to Harry Potter. Some of the other fandoms I belong to include Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, Hunger Games, Maximum Ride, and so many more. Anime is literally my life. I am so crazily obsessed it's not funny. xD
I live in New Zealand, where people ride to school on sheep, and Hobbits can be found at every turn. No, hobbits riding sheep can be found at every turn. That's a pretty accurate description, I'd say. (;

So, at this point in time, I only have three permanent pets. They are the three pets on my main account, and the only reason I have so few permies is ... well, I suppose these are the only dream pets of mine I've really "found", or had the chance to adopt. I do plan on trading for other dreamies of mine in the future, and I definitely hope that my Neopet family will be expand a lot over the next while.
Ah, Deleroe. She was my first ever permanent pet, gifted to me by my good friend (on and off Neopets) Rose. I always have her as my active Neopet, showing her off around the boards. (; Her character is pretty much complete, and I'll give you a quick overview of it here ... So, Roe grew up in the city of Faerieland with her foster parents, after her real parents unexpectedly passed away when she was just young. many years later, she was visited one night by a wraith of great evil. He warned her that, if she didn't leave come morning, something unthinkable would happen to those she loved. Of course, being the kind-hearted person she was, Roe fled that night. She traveled for days and days, finally coming across a small town. It was there she saw the circus, and, intrigued by its wonder, snuck into one of the trailers. The only items Roe had taken with her were the two she treasured most; a notebook her foster mother had given her, and a pack of tarot cards her foster father had passed down to her. She was found hours later in the back of the trailer, but instead of being thrown back onto the road, she was offered a place in the circus. The other circus performers had seen her tarot cards, and assumed she could tell fortunes. Roe accepted, and soon found she actually could see things, including what could only be the ... future. Welp, that's all I've got so far, though I do also have part of a story started that I need to put on her petpage (as soon as I can make it all purdy, of course).
Thaltun, or as I lovingly call him, Alt, was created and hand-painted by me. I received the Royal Paint Brush by an extremely kind Neopian - whose name I have unfortunately lost D: - back when I was pretty darn horrible at saving up NeoPoints. For his character he is, of course, a king (omg, nowaii). However, he's not any old king; Alt is the High King of the new Revolution, a group of 'enhanced' beings who are training to, one day, take over a group who call themselves the Force. I don't have that much planned for Alt's character yet, apart from a paragraph or two for the beginning of a story, but yeah. Watch this space. (;
*squishes Tuc* Isn't he just the cutest? :3 Tucazin, usually referred to as Tuc by moi, was a pet I applied for and was chosen to adopt a few years ago. Again, I have lost the username of the very kind Neopian who adopted him out to me (it seems I used to be pretty hopeless at writing stuff down, but never fear, I have since matured and am very capable at recording important info such as this), but I do remember it being quite a quick adoption. As in, I sent in my application and was pretty much sent Tuc the next day. xD Anyhow, Tucazin's character is probably the one I need to work on most. I do have some ideas, however: he's going to own an elaborate chocolate factory, kind of Wiilly Wonka-esque. I'm actually quite excited for his character to be developed more, and hope to have his lookup and personality etc. finished within the next few weeks.
As you can see, my pet's characters are currently incomplete, but that's mostly due to the fact that I've been on hiatus for a while. ^^ Rest assured, they will all have nice pet-lookups within a few days/a week at most, and then all of their characters will be combined and put onto one of their petpages (just for easier managing, etc.). Hopefully one day I'll be able to add Suoy to this list in future applications (a girl can dream, right?). c:

They sure know how to flatter a girl ... *blush*
Wait ... aren't you forgetting something? Mr. FancyPants (correction, Mrs. FancyPants, apparently) has one last thing to say.
