Iicychiill

Intro

You walk slowly and cautiously through the streets of a deserted town, just outside of the Haunted Woods. Cold, messily paved streets under your feet, a biting wind whipping at your hair.
Soft padding of feet behind you, the rustle of fur on fur, and the sound of nails on cement.
You whirl around, and are immediately sorry you did. A lupe, a thin, periwinkle lupe with long fur, one neon piunk eye, and a cluster of scars where the other should be.
Well, you assumed they were scars, theyu were a forest green that seemed to glow in the light of the pale moon. "What- you- who- who in Neopia are you?" She was gone.
You sigh and turn around. "Boo." The lupe was sill there, an amused smirk on her face.
You scream.
When your childish outburst is done, the lupe is sitting calmly at you feet, like a loyal little puppy, her tail wrapped around her paws. "I? I am Iicychiill, currently known as Iicy." Her tail wags slightly as she looks up at you.
You find yourself asking a question before introducing yourself. "What happened to your eye?
Her face grows dark and she hangs her head, ears flat against it, almost tucked into her fur. "I, uh, don't wanna talk about it." She looks up at you, tears glistening in her eye.
You sit down next to the lupe and put your arm around her frail shoulders. "Are you gonna tell me? Please?" She hesitates and then nods.

Story

Strange how everything bad seems to happen in the rain. In the rain on a stormy, dark, winter evening, when the rain is so close to freezing it feels like ice hitting you on the face a thousand times over.
It was the weather this night, when I picked my way through this very town with my head low and a smirk on my face.
It was a street I had walked many times before. A tired street with my paw prints practically molded into the cement. My tail was high, wagging in the air as I sniffed at each puddle, excitement shining in my eyes.
I looked up sharply at a snarl from behind me. I turned, where we stand now, and screamed.
The scream turned to a strangled gasp as another lupe launched himself at me, shoving one paw to my neck as I struggled underneath him. "Wh-what do you want?" I managed to ask, and he smiled wickedly, revealing fangs longer than any I had seen in a long time.
He shook his head slowly. "I want nothing more than to be fed. Yes, that is what I want. A meal of what I have been deprived of." His smile widened, and I noticed for the first time something that made my heart stop for an instant: The fangs were bloodstained.
I howled and struggled under his grasp, writhing in the dust. He laughed coldly, baring his teeth.
I shouted out, trying to get the attention of the ghost town. "No! No!" Another laugh.
I thought for a split second: Harming him would be self defense. Self defense is an amazing thing. May as well take advantage of it.
I growled and attempted to bite at the larger lupe's neck.
He chuckled, looking at his claws and then at my face. "It'd be a shame, really, for you to die like this." He held his claws up to my face, ready to swipe.
I bit into his shoulder.
He let out a surprisingly pained howl, and ran his claws across my face.
Too stunned to move, I watched as his fangs slowly grew back to an average size, his crimson and black fur morphing whith all the speed of a slorg to a chestnut and tumbleweed brown. He staggered away, tail between his legs, shoulder bleeding heavily.

He found me in the morning, wounded and still bleeding.
He was silent for a long moment as he sat next to me, looking at the injury. "I owe you," He murmured, throwing me onto his back and pulled me along the streets, through the deserted town, until we reached a house. A mansion more the word, a huge stone building with three stories, surrounded by bushes, dead flowers, and a single rose bush.
From the rose bush, a seti popped her head out, followed by that of a kepru.
The kepru snarled at the two us, but the other lupe ignored them with little difficulty. "Yill, she's had quite a night. Can it." The petpet fell reluctantly silent.
There was a rustling from inside the house, and a human nudged open the door. "Fang? You home? If you- sweet Fyora. If you killed her…" She let her threat trail off, shaking her blond hair to get out what I later learned to be a lollipop.
Fang, I assumed that was what his name was, shifted, looking down at me. "I…I don't think I killed her. She's still breathing, isn't she, Mihn?" He looked at her with genuine concern in his eyes.
The human looked at me doubtfully, waiting for a few moments before answering. It was another name that she answered with. "Artymmis? If you could, bring our guest to a bed. Fang, get to your room." He opened his mouth to protest. "Look, you did enough bringing her here. Try to sleep." He looked at her and slowly slipped inside, tail between his legs
An xweetok came out as the lupe entered, strange blue and purple fur. "Mihn? You wanted me?" The human nodded. "Bed, you said? Who's the- Fang." He looked at me sideways, fear in his amber eyes.
Mihn, I guessed that was the human, shook her head. "Actually, Shadow. But, yeah, basically." I looked up, making her wordlessly shout out. She stuttered for a few moments. "I- you- eye- You're alive." I cocked my head to one side like a confused puppy.
It too me a few moments to speak. "Yes. I'm alive. Shouldn't I be?" The human shrugged and motioned for the xweetok to follow her. He lifted me onto his back and entered the house.
The only way to describe the interior was chaos. Children ran randomly through the rooms, screaming and laughing and nipping at each other. Artymmis dodged a piece of cookie dough, leaving Mihn to be bombarded by chocolate chips. He nimbly ducked around the children till he reached the stairs, where he nimbly leaped onto the banister and began carefully climbing up.
I shifted, and he lost his footing halfway up, swaying dangerously from side to side. "Are you mad?" He exclaimed when he gained his hold once more.
I hesitated. Was I? I wouldn't doubt it. "No," I lied, still contemplating whether I was.
He shook his head and jumped to the landing, walking down a hallway until he saw a door lacking the metal plates with names on all the others. Well, it had a name. But he seemed to ignore it. "Bett…shame." He slowly slid me off his back and leaped up, batting the sign off the door with his paws. "And that's what we do here." Puzzled, I shakily got to my feet as he nudged open the door.
A modest room was set up, a wooden bed in the corner, a dresser elsewhere, and a bean bag chair. "Not much. But it'll do." He nudged towards the bed. "There you are. Mihn shouldn't take long." He left, tail dragging across the wooden floorboards.
I put my hands on my paws, noticing how it looked like I hadn't cared at all about the state of my fur. I ignored it, ears pricked for when the human entered. It didn't take long. She slowly crept into the room, frowning with another xweetok following. Terrfying gashes covered her face, and a bandage on her leg. She sat down, making it clear that she thought little of my injury, though it hurt like Fyora's wrath, and shrugged. "She'll live. Eh- I mean, she may have a couple of problems with eyesight and all, but other than that, she'll get over it." My ears twitched.
Mihn cast her a nasty glare. I spoke slowly. "What kind of eyesight problems?" My eyes narrowed.
She smirked a little. "Ah, that. Maybe…let's go with you have only one eye?" I looked up sharply.
I let out a little moan. "Great. I'm sure that's comforting." I looked back at my paws, sshaking my head.
Mihn sat down next to me. She put a hand on my head, scratching behind my ears tiredly. "Don't worry. Hey…maybe you want to stay?" The xweetok hissed.
Her obvious disgust apparent in her tone, practically yowled, "Are you mad? There's no way you can let her stay! Fang'll rip her to pieces or apologize until she gets him to rip her to pieces." Mihn cast her another nasty glare, though she still had her and on my head, and her offer still hung I the air.
I considered for not a moment. "Yes. Please. Would you mind?" Duh. No she wouldn't mind, she'd offered to begin with.
She waved a hand dismissively. "Ah, s'all good. We'll get you some stuff for your room. In fact, this one is yours." I nodded thoughtfully.
Yes, it'd be nice here.

Awesome is the only word to describe him. He's my age, with a good sense of humor. He's quiet, with can be annoying, and…polite. Neither of which traits I possess. Oops.

zwiynn
Uh, this is…Zwiynn. She's hard to describe. She's kind of like me, a loud, hyper lupe, but she's a little too daring, she climbs things a lot…lupes aren't supposed to climb. But she's more of a panda thingy. She's really funny.

seav
Seav. He's…insane. A three year old gnorbu. Erm, kind of. Four hundred ninety six, he claims. Mihn backs him up on it, so, yeah. He does have an odd intelligence level for his age. Which I suppose makes sense. But I'm still gonna baby him, because I've never gotten to be a big sister before.

Mihn!
Mihn. Took me in, cared for me, healed me, saved me. Human, but kind, if with a fiery temper. First one she got mad at was Fang because of my injuries. Truly frightening at that point. She's the one who took all of us in, either finding us on the streets or catching us trying to pick her pockets. Just- Scally's fault. She has really funny hair, there's always something in it.

Petpet

setipetpet

A small seti, long, thin legs and the exact opposite of average setis. It was as though the white fur that replaced the black was made for snow, a blue tinge instead of the dark gray on her stomach. As opposed to the gold caps on most setis' ears, they were silver, glittering when she shook her head violently.

Appearance

Yeah, so, drag it to your tab bar thingy and there you are. Also, I recommend you read all the notes. Yeeeah…Sorry.

Leaving?

You hesitate, watching her intently.
She looks at you with a smile, a polite, innocent smile that seems forced. "Eh, that's your whole life?" She chuckles at your question
Shaking her head she answers, "Yeah. Fang was up to all that I remember." You nod slowly. She looks up to the sky. "You oughta go. There'll be a storm soon." You nod and wordlessly leave her there, tail around her paws, looking at you like a confused puppy.
