May 8th 2011: Hi guys! *waves* Ah, it's been over a year since I last updated this page and it shows. TNT has changed their filters so the coding isn't working properly anymore. Since I haven't been coding for a while, I'm having trouble figuring out why my tables aren't white.
Also, apart from fixing the coding, I won't be updating the Directory anymore. I'm not going to close it, since I put too much effort into it and besides, it's still pretty :) So this will still be a Directory, simply a RETIRED one. I won't be adding new Coconut Jubjubs, but I will try to keep my Directory tidy and working properly. This is because I can't find the time to play Neopets every day anymore, and I don't want to keep people waiting forever until I add their Coco Jubs. I hope you will all understand :)

Wow! I can't believe I actually won Site Spotlight #688! Thanks for all the Neomails, everyone! And a big thank you to all those lovely people who told me to enter the contest, without you, I'd never have won!

CocoNuts was created solely by me, youi234, at January 5, 2008 and was moved to my side account idylle on May 13th, 2008. I had been thinking about creating a certain Pet Directory since I found out about other Pet Directories (have a look at my affies!), but I never knew what sort of Pet Directory to create. My idea only started to take form when Idrilyon was unexpectedly zapped into a Coconut Jubjub, making me a very happy owner of an adorable and rare new pet. I figured Coco Jubbies would be the perfect Neopets to create a Pet Directory for. I started coding and thinking about a month after the lucky zap, and this is the result :) Enjoy!

Important note!! This is NOT an adoption agency! None of these pets are up for adoption in any way. This includes pet lending for the avatar! Please do NOT ask the owners if you may borrow or have their pets!

So... how do you get a Coconut Jubjub? Well, as you probably already know, getting a Coconut Jubjub is rather hard: There is no such thing as a Coconut Paintbrush or a Coconut Morphing potion. No, getting a Coconut Jubjub isn't simple: it's a matter of sheer luck. Here's how you can get one:

Get a lucky Zap

Yup, that's right! Most people get their Coco Jubbie from the Lab. Currently, the complete Secret Laboratory Map costs about 750k (750,000 np): it's not as expensive as a Pirate Paint Brush, but it is way more tedious: you could zap over a hundred Jubjubs and never get a lucky zap, because the Lab is totally random!
You can buy most Secret Laboratory Map pieces from the Shop Wizard, or you could buy the complete set from the Trading Post. Usually, getting the pieces seperately is a bit cheaper. If you're lucky, you'll run into a Random Event that will give you a piece. Tarla tends to give them out as well.
Once you have collected all 9 pieces, you can go here to gain permanent access to the Lab. However, keep in mind that once you've put the pieces together, they disappear forever!

Get a Fountain Faerie Quest

If you're really lucky, you'll run into a Fountain Faerie Quest (FFQ). The Fountain Faerie can paint your Neopet almost every color available if you complete her quest, and Coconut is one of them. However, getting a FFQ hardly ever happens. It took me about 55 months to get my first ( Finally! =D). And that's not all: IF you happen to run into her quest, you'll still have to be able to afford it. She asks for rare items (r95-99 I believe) that can cost you anywhere between 1000np and several million. And even if you can afford it, you should think about the question if her quest is worth it: spending 2 million on a Coconut Jubjub might be a little bit expensive if you can also get one for 750k.

Use a Flask of Rainbow Fountain Water

You can also get a Coconut Jubjub by using a Flask of Rainbow Fountain Water on your Jubjub. What does this Flask do, you ask? Well, use it on your pet, and... it will change color! However, it can only be used ONCE and the result will be completely random, so you have no guarantee whatsoever of getting a Coconut Jubjub (though you could get Maraquan, Yellow, Faerie, Spotted, and so on). You can get a Flask randomly by playing the Underwater Fishing Game if your Fishing Skill is at least 78. If you don't have the patience for that, check the Trading Post or auctions for a Flask. They tend to cost about 1,8mil (1,800,000 np), so getting the Lab Ray is cheaper. Remember: the Flask can give your pet ANY color, even the color it already has!

Getting a Coconut Jubjub is hard, but finding the perfect petpet isn't exactly easy either. So, to save you the trouble, I created a list of petpets that would love to be your Jubjub's new best friend (and match your Coconut Jubjub perfectly at the same time, what a happy coincidence!). 1. Coconut Jubjub
If you have a Coconut Jubjub, there's a big chance you're an Avatar Collector like me. Why? Because Coco Jubbies will get you a very special and cute avatar:

So how do you get it? Simple! All you need to do is feed your Coco Jubjub any Tropical Food. I'd go for the Crunchy Skullberry, it only costs about 10np ;)

2. Evil Coconut
I bet you know the Coconut Shy avatar! You can get it by knocking a Coconut down in the game Coconut Shy. It's random, meaning this avatar can be quite expensive! You'll get 20 tries a day, which will cost you 100np a go.

3. I Saved Mystery Island
Here's another avatar with a Coconut Jubjub, but it's retired, so we can't get it anymore :( You could get it by being within the first 10,000 people to solve the Mystery Island Volcano Plot, a really old plot which ended a long, long time ago.

4. Coco Roll
Last, but not least, the Coco Roll avatar! As far I know, this avatar is retired as well. You needed a Cocoroll Code which you could get after beating level 5 of the real-life Cocoroll game.

Rarity Explanation:

r0	This item hasn't been released yet, meaning you can't get it anywhere in Neopia at this moment.
r1- 99	These items stock in Neopian shops. The higher the rarity, the less often it stocks and (usually) the more it's worth (and thus the more it costs). Food items with rarity 90-100 are Gourmet Foods. From the following list, r99 is the rarest and is therefore the most expensive. From r75-84, items are called uncommon From r85-89, items are called rare From r90-94, items are called very rare From r95-98, items are called ultra rare Items with r99 are considered super rare
r100	These items are mostly items that are being sold at the Golden Dubloon or that are otherwise special (for example, contest prices). Some of these items do, however, stock at Neopian Shops, only very rarily. These items are considered ultra rare.
r101- 179	These items are called special (r101-104), MEGA RARE (r105-110) and RARITY X (rarity 111-179). They can be obtained from Random Events, the Vending Machine (r101-104), and several dailies such as the Giant Omelette and Tombola.
r180	These items are retired, meaning they don't stock in Neopian shops any more.
r200	These items can be obtained from the Hidden Tower.
r240	These items are retired Hidden Tower items. They can no longer be bought there.
r500	These items can be bought at the NC Mall and are wearable.

Mystery Island Volcano Plot

There are currently 2 games with coconuts, but none with Coconut Jubjubs. The first is called Coconut Shy. But it's a very Evil game, located in the Deserted Fairground... I'd think twice before even going near there...

I only accept petpages as affiliates that have been around for at least 2 months. Over the years, I have learned that some affiliates do disappear quite quickly and this should help avoid it.

Why are there two types of Coconut Jubjubs?
Well, remember how Neopets changed in April 2007? Many Neopets were redrawn and looked very different from the way they originally looked. A few pets however, including the Coconut Jubjub, were not redrawn because the new version was so much different than the old one. So if you look at the Coconut Jubjub images over here, the Coconut Jubjub on the left is the new Coconut Jubjub, and the Coconut Jubjub on the right is the old style Coconut Jubjub. Note that you can't get the old style Coconut Jubjub anymore, you can only get the new style Coconut Jubjub.

What's 'converted' and 'unconverted'?
The 'converted' Coconut Jubjub is the new style, redrawn Coconut Jubjub. The 'unconverted' Coconut Jubjub is the old style Coconut Jubjub, which we can't get anymore =(

No, you may certainly NOT. I didn't make it for you, in fact, I didn't make it for anyone except for myself. I worked very hard on this petpage and when people start asking me if they may just use it, it makes me feel annoyed and frustrated and sometimes even angry, ok? Remember that using a layout against someone's permission is a freezable offence, as you can read in Editorial #250. If you want a template, ask the Help Boards.

No, you may not use my layout, altered or not, not even if you give me credit. You do not have permission, period. This is also stated in Editorial #250.

Sorry, no :P First of all, creating a Directory or another petpage is just too much work, and I'm already busy enough keeping my own up and running (and no, I wouldn't do it for my friends either, they just create their own :P). Second, there isn't that much use in creating a Directory or petpage for someone when there's a chance the person might not even understand the coding. Third, there's no guarantee that you'll keep the credit. So if I were you, I'd go to the Help Boards and ask for a coding guide to create your own. Besides, by creating everything yourself, you can enter the Site Spotlight! =D

That... depends. I'm usually quite busy, so it's most probably going to be a 'no', but if you have a small coding question, then sure! However, asking the Help Boards will probably work a lot faster ;)
