Hello and welcome guest! My name is Ice, and this is Shimmering Ice Adoptions. Before we get started, why don't I tell you a little about our history.

My owner, Maddie, started this adoption agency not too long ago. She can't stand to see so many pets in the pound, and decided that she was going to make a difference. Together we nurse pets from the pound back to good health and get them ready for adoption. It may not be much, but it feels good to be doing something to help.

To your left are different pages you can visit. It's pretty self explanatory. Make sure to read the rules before creating an application, and if you have a question check the FAQ first. You can contact Maddie on her main account or here on her side.

Rules

If you intend to apply for a pet, please neomail Maddie to let her know.
Please state clearly all of your accounts and which account the pet would be kept on.
I will only do direct transfers. For pets that have deadlines, I'm very flexible, so it's fine if we have to wait for you to have an available transfer.

Lucky for you, I'm a very patient Eyrie.

If you send in an application, you are not guaranteed to receive the pet. Many people apply for each pet, and only one will be chosen as the new owner.
I highly suggest using an application guide if this is your first time creating an app. The one I linked has a lot of great tips and tricks that I'll be searching for in your app. Even if you've written apps before, it might be nice to take a refresher course and see if there are any new ideas out there! Here's another guide that you might find useful:
I would appreciate it if you could put somewhere in your application your plans for the pet; e.g. are you going to roleplay? Customize? Fight in the Battledome?
Do not, I repeat, do not, apply for a pet just to trade it away. These pets are looking for permanent homes. If for some reason you cannot keep them anymore, contact me immediately and I will gladly take the pet back.

Please don't make me angry by breaking this rule.
Lastly, please include TNO's Pledge of Good Ownership in your application:
If I am chosen, I, (your name) , pledge to be the best owner I can be for my new Neopet, (pet's name) . I understand all the sadness that he/she has already been through, and so I will provide everything he/she needs to be happy. I promise to be a friend to my new Neopet and never ever ever put him/her through the pain of neglect or abandonment again.

Info: Wolfy is my first ever foster project, and quite a big undertaking. His name means "little plushie wolf" in German, so I'm painting him Plushie. Hopefully this lovable little guy will be ready to go to his forever home soon, though at 9 million neopoints a piece, it'll take some time to save up!

FAQ

Should I make a petpage or neomail application?
I accept both petpage applications and neomail applications. :) Please remember that when making a petpage app you should add a disclaimer telling TNT that you were not forced to make one.

Where should I neomail my app?
Send neomail applications here. For petpage apps, neomail me to let me know that you're applying and give me a link to the page. If I don't get back to you within a week, please neomail again, as I can sometimes make mistakes. Hey, nobody's perfect!

Are gender changes available?
I am pleased to say that yes, gender changes are now available! :) Just mention in your app if you'd like one done and if you are chosen as the pet's new owner, then I will perform the gender change before the pet is transferred to your account.

Why was my application rejected?
There are a number of different reasons for why I may reject an application. The biggest turn-off is when someone doesn't read the rules. Another is an application that seems as if little work has been put into it. And sometimes, even if there's nothing wrong with your application, a better one will be sent to me. I strive to choose the best possible owner for all my pets, which means that some people are going to get rejected.

What do you mean by direct transfer?
There are three different doors when you visit the pound: adopt, transfer, and abandon. A direct transfer is when the middle door is chosen. The pet is sent directly to your account.

Can I send in my application before the deadline?
Yes, feel free to send in your application any time before the deadline.

What do you mean when you say you're "flexible" with deadlines?
When I say this, I mean that if you ask for an extension, most of the time I'll say yes. Just tell me why you would like an extension. And please be honest. I understand that sometimes life gets in the way of app making. You don't have to make up some story about how your whole family got hit by a meteor or something! Just a simple "I had a ton of homework this month!" will do. :)

The Neopian Orphanage (TNO) is the reason that this adoption agency exists. TNO is a guild dedicated to helping the helpless, one pet at a time. But we can't do it alone. You can help by adopting a pet here or at other TNO adoption agencies. Or you could even join and become a fosterer yourself. It's up to you how you want to make a difference.
