Do you have any drawing tips for me?

Common question, common answer: practise. Sad but true. There are no shortcuts in the art world. Have patience and you'll get there.

Do you have any tips for the Neopian Times?

That one takes even more patience, frankly. The golden rule there is to be original. Do something that hasn't been done before, or if it has been done, give it a twist. Evil Meepit comics stopped being funny a hundred issues ago. Sloth in pink doesn't even get accepted any more because it got too common. Don't create an entry because you want a trophy. Create an entry because you want to create something and share it with people. Pieces that have been written only for a shiny trophy usually show the lack of effort, and won't get in. Here's a good page for more in-depth tips.
Mind you, the waiting times in the NT business are pretty long. You won't get a reply overnight, or the entry published in the next issue. Be prepared to wait for at least two, three weeks.

Can I use your pets in my comic/story?

Go right ahead ^^ Do credit me for owning them, though.

Will you use my pet in your comic/story?

I would, if I had any ideas for them. Fact is, good comic ideas don't grow on trees, and by good I mean a script that actually works and where your pet is a necessary part of the script instead of just a tack-on for the sake of a cameo, otherwise it won't be a funny comic and there will be no point in drawing it. And since my comics consistently star Shad and Saura, you'd have to come up with a script where three pets are a necessity. And I scrap most ideas that come to me, so, yeah, I'm not the most agreeable person in this question xD Although if you do come up with a script I like, I'll be glad to draw it. Not to mention, if you come up with a full script, you'll get credit for it, meaning a shiny Neopian Times trophy of your own :3

Who's that yellow Zafara in your comics?

He's spotted - yellow Zaffies are lighter and have less spots - his name is Saurani, and he's on my side account. And yes, he's a boy xD

Will you draw me a picture?

Chances are that I won't. I've been increasingly busy lately and haven't had much time for art requests, not to mention for the most part I lack motivation because 90% of the art requests I've done never get put up on any petpage or similar place. Technically I do get in the occasional rare mood of drawing every once in a while, but you'd have to get pretty lucky to drop me a neomail at the exact right time. Not much of a good answer, I know, but the truth is, it's a so-so issue. Generally it stands at "almost closed", though.

Will you give me- insertitem/pet/account/whatever

I love such mails, they really brighten up my day xD Short answer: no. Long answer: honestly, what makes you even think I'm rich? I don't play nearly as many games these days as I used to, the NT is a non-profit business (yes, you heard me. Not a penny gained from getting accepted.) and my pets were painted quite a while back. Go earn your own moolah.

Why's Ice no longer yours?

She is. I just wanted to make room on my main account for a foster lab pet. Chances are she'll be staying here for a while. Fear not, she's just as well fed and looked after as before.

And you wouldn't believe how many of those start like that xD Fact of the matter is, I get very little mail these days. Either I'm becoming a has-been, or people just don't mail as much these days, or they all think that I get tons of mail. Ironic, really. In any case, I read all my mail, and reply to most of it (which is to say, everything that doesn't consist of 'hi'.) I'm an artist and a writer. We appreciate feedback. Really.

I was adopted by Huntress when I was more than a year old. She didn't mean to take me in the first place, but she was just hanging around the pound one day and there I was, a sad little Ixi suffering from Neomonia... she couldn't help it.
Huntress: Mmh, actually I clicked pretty much accidentally.

I don't remember anything about my previous life - Huntress says that it's a cause of amnesia that came along with Neomonia. Too bad, so sad.

I may not remember anything but thanks to clickmic I finally, almost three years after my adoption managed to learn something about my past again. In short, she found my very first owner. Huntress held a pretty long neomail conversation with her and now I can tell you my story.. as much as I know it, as some parts are still lost...

Ohkay, hold on to your underwear now. I was born in Terror Mountain and am a princess, back then next in line for the throne. I also had power over ice and water *snaps hoof* though I seem to have forgotten those by now. Too bad. You can never have too much ice when living on Mystery Island...
All siblings: *chortle* *burst out laughing*
Shad: You - a princess? Man-oh-man, I would've given my NT fame away for a chance to see this...
Ice: Now you're exaggerating.
Shad: ... you're right. Still would've loved to see this though...

I was known as Angie back then - *glares at siblings* ONE beep and you'll all be very very sorry - spent my time playing hockey and making angels out of ice. And dyed my hair pink for some reason still unknown to me.
Thor: I don't think you wanna know.
Ice: Too true...
The careless life ended when a guild of thieves started plotting the downfall of the royal family -- and they succeeded too as I understand, as the Terror Mountain has no royal family any more, atleast I haven't heard of any.
Kat: Technically, you are.
Ice: I'm most definitely not going to mess with some fancy clothes and laws and royal subjects! They seem to be doing just fine, thankyou. My life will go on with you guys, don't think you'll get rid of me that easily!
One way or another, my family was killed and I was kidnapped by a thief, some shadow Draik called Zeth. That's where the known story ends. Or... Tsuke?
Tsuki: Yeah, I found the guy. Works at the Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop as an assistant. He remembered you, and said that he was about to take you to the headquarters when you talked your way out of hat mess. He actually has a good heart, too good for a thief if you ask me and you have a good way with words as we all know so he just let you go... and that's where the lead ends.
Huntress: Well, there's also Dr. Death. He doesn't remember all pound pets but he did remember a pink-haired Ixi with Neomonia. I know that you've been in the pound more than once though, so you've lost some time between Zeth and me, I s'pose. They had to cut your hair when you were ill and the roots had grown out by that time anyway. Your first memory should strike in somewere around that time.
Yeah, it sure does. I remember waking up at the pound. I'd rather not talk about that time... the pound wasn't so bad but as I didn't know anything about anything...
Huntress: Just carry on, Ice, don't worry.

I was born as a blue Ixi, at least that's a fact now. But on the 16th day of the month of Running, Illusen Day,year something, it was a while back, Huntress won a paintbrush in the Picture Competition and traded it, so now I have a sparky look. Great, huh?

I love bubblegum. Anyone would tell you that. The siblings say that they can't remember the last time they saw my jaws no moving. Not true. I do take the bubblegum out once in a while. And for some reason they're not happy with that either, especially Saura. Come on, tables are made for sticking bubblegum under it. Not like we use the other side of the plate for anything else anyway.

Yush, the anthro me. Dunno, I still prefer being a little Ixi. That thing there just isn't me. But as all of my siblings have been getting those little thingamabobs, might as well have that here. Granted, I'm not exactly sporty. Caps look cool and all but breaking a sweat and feeling the taste of blood in the lungs ain't for me. I'd much rather just hang around with this or that buddy, or any of my siblings. Funny how they all seem to nag on each other once in a while. I mean, I get along with all of them, how come they can't get along with each other?

That's my white Anubis, Yasha. She doesn't stand people very well, except for my owner perhaps and she spends most nights sitting on the kitchen window and watching. Small but fierce, I tell you. And kinda grumpy. And pretty sceptical. Hunty had found her in the Haunted Woods so I'm pretty sure she has been through a lot... too bad petpets don't talk. She seems to be happy with us though.

My family

Well, with my newfound past guess I can mention my only sister-in-blood now - Pikachu as I understood. I don't really know her. But I know that she's my sibling and has my old petpet, a Popblew... I'll still stick to Yasha. Atleast I remember her... but then there's also the gang even the hardest Neomonia will never erase from my mind. Unfortunately. Check 'em out...

Fighter of the Day
The first pet of my current owner, AoiKatana, a fire Uni, is my stepsister and when I arrived, she was the only pet in the family. I'm pretty proud of her. She used to be a picky little wiener who whined a lot and couldn't get a joke at all, but after long days of training by the Techo Master she has turned into a tough bolting flesh-eater. Who would've guessed that a Uni would ever get so far? Her personality has improved a lot, I say.
Phila: But she's so grumpy!
Ice: Kid, if she had stayed the way she was, you two would do each other's hair every day.
Saura: Kat has a mane and Phila doesn't even have hair.
Ice: *shudder* Believe me, vanity finds its ways.

So, let's move on. I also have a baby brother. He's a shadow Lupe called Shadoron. I don't get to see him very often since he spends most of his time exploring the land and shows up only for dinner and whenever Huntress calls him. Sometimes that airheaded punk still comes to chat with me, whether to ask for some chewing gum or to borrow my CD-s. Our music tastes are similar enough. Though I still think that Sticks 'n Stones are the best band ever.

The fourth member of our family, Cryolien, is a labrat and adopted as well. He's a nice guy, although Kat says that he has been to too many harbour taverns when he was little. And he has a semi-rabid petpet. Huntress says that he just needs some discipline... and then she wanders off for the day, leaving me to take care of that discipline. Thanks a lot. That's what happens when your stepbrother befriends Shad...

When darkness falls...
Our stepbrother on Huntress's gallery account, Tsuki, is a Shadow Shoyru that lives either in that gallery or flies around in the night sky of Neopia, mainly in Lost Desert, looking for long-lost knowledge in Qasalan and Sakhmetian libraries. He prefers to stay alone but surprisingly he always seems to know whenever any of us has been any trouble. Being one of the youngest in the family, Huntress says that he's still twice as responsible as we all together.

As for our little sister, Philoxia, I can only say that she's the female version of previous Shad. Seriously, if all kids act like wannabe detectives and stick their noses everywhere they can then I have to say that I'm really glad that I have my amnesia. If I was like that back in my youth then... aw man, let's just hope nobody remembers my childhood.
Huntress: M'dear, if you had any skeletons in your closet then I would've heard of it ages ago.
Ice: I do hope you're right...

The one you can count on
With Huntress being out earning NP all the time, we're really lucky to have Saurani as our cook. Gnawing on Blackberries all the time had gotten a bit annoying, really. Saura's the best cook I've seen yet. True, most good cooks seem to be the best of the best because they work so incredibly fast but that guy's able to make us dinner within half an hour - even with Cryo and Phila helping him. That takes endurance and wits, I tell you. Besides, Saura's even able to make Phila work so that she doesn't break more than a few plates. That deserves a trophy or something... and when you look at the fact that he managed to befriend Shad who used to hate him, you could call that guy a true mage without exaggerating. No wonder he gets along with Tsuke so well.

Well, this guy is something interesting... Thorvaringr showed up one day after being beaten up by the Pterodactyl of that, hrmmm, certain said-to-be-edible world. The pterodactyl had it worse as I heard but Thor still had pretty ugly wounds. When he was back on his feet, he just stayed. So easy was that. He's a nice guy once you get past the suspicious and fierce attitude but he really isn't someone you'd want to pick a fight with. I can't even say that I'd love to be on his side. He has no sides. Thor only cares for himself and his petpet... and if I said that he cared of us too in some way, he'd smack me. But he still does, in his own little way, yus...

Well, and then there's this guy who isn't exactly family but more like a silent guard, named Ashantlan, a rogue and lurker. He's a bit like Thor, but more quiet and reserved - yet an equally good fighter, streets teach you that. Thor found him eating in our Blackberry plantation one day and almost tore him apart - would've suffered a lot himself, might I add - but I got there in time and broke them up. Don't ask me how, I'm cool like that.
I had a little chat with Ash, and another chat with my owner, and eventually it was decided that if he agrees to keep thieves away from our house and the plantation, he can stick around and eat as much as he wants. He agreed, and there he is now, hard to find but mostly definitely there, in the bushes. I sometimes take him leftovers, for the sake of variety, and we've talked once in a while. I've asked him to join the family and come to the house but he ain't ready for that yet. Though he says that at least Saura sounds like a nice guy, judging by how well he cooks.
