The Arctic, many claim it be an uninhabitable wasteland. Below freezing temperatures, scarce food and half the year in total darkness. Few creatures survive here, and those bigger than the snowshoe hare must practically fight for their survival in this unforgiving world. Yet to some the natural obstacles are only hurdlers which can be overcome. There are many large, fierce creatures that call this inhospitable place home. The polar bear for one but these solitary hunters are nothing compared to the wolves. Ancient sabre-toothed wolves prowl the cruel tundra, their kind untouched for centuries. Existing. Thriving in this dark world.
The wolves of Drengr. The mighty beasts of the tundra, they are the cries you hear on the winds. Hunting beneath the Aurora Borealis. With their impeccable night vision and strength they are formidable creatures, perfectly suited to their harsh habitat. Recent changes have seen a shift in power with these mighty wolves. An old alpha falls and a new one rises. With him he brings great change to the tundra and now Drengr face the challenges of a life they've never dreamed of before. A life united.
General Guild Rules
▼ Try to be as active as you can! We all have lives and it's a fact that the real world can get pretty crazy, so if for any reason you're not going to be able to post for an extended amount of time please let a council member know.
▼ Respect the other guild members and play nice! We're all in this together and we're all here to have fun. Rudeness and hostility towards anyone will not be tolerated. It's hard to enjoy roleplaying when everyone's stressed out.
▼ Nobody likes drama. Please keep it off the boards.
▼ Anyone caught stealing art, coding, or anything else will immediately be removed from the guild. We have zero tolerance for people who leech off the hard work of others.
▼ There are badges with your character's corresponding rank that link back to the guild. We ask that you please collect yours and display it on your character's lookup and/or page. Don't forget your adoptable as well!
▼ Keep OOCs to a minimum. They break up the roleplay and may bump more important posts down to where they can't be seen. If you absolutely have to post an OOC please include it in your roleplay reply so things don't get too messy.
▼ If you're confused about what's going on in the roleplay or have a question about something don't hesitate to ask around. Someone will be happy to help you out.
Roleplay Rules
▼ No godmoding or powerplaying. This goes without saying.
▼ Don't spam the boards. People will reply and we don't need whining.
▼ Check with the council before initiating any random plots.
▼ We all have days when we're braindead and tired, but try to make your post at least two paragraphs. Give the others something to read and something they can reply to!
▼ There are always certain people and certain characters we enjoy roleplaying with, but try to avoid character cliques. This is a whole pack and there's more to it than just you and your buddies. Make everyone feel included!
▼ No, your character is not the image of perfection.
▼ Ranks are given out based on your characters, not on you. Don't complain about what you do or don't get. We're not going to change your rank...It just gives us a headache.
▼ Please remember the guild backstory and stick to it.
▼ HAVE FUN!

The history
The arctic sabres were a race untouched by time. They had no need to alter their appearance from the ice age, it suited them well. Their thick fur, powerful legs and huge sabre canine teeth only aided their existence in the unforgiving tundra and making it all that more bearable. The wolves spread far across the frozen continents, each pack having impressive and very large territories. It was very rare that two packs would ever cross paths and if they did, the trespassing packs were driven out by displays of extreme force and power.
None were as feared as the pack known as Drengr. These ruthless sabres were the epitome of strength and power, a true shining example of their kind. In the beginning they were a nomad pack, lead by the largest male at the time, with no strict hierarchy or rules. It wasn't until Hakon assumed the leadership did things change. Under his rule, the pack became stabilised, settling in one large expanse of territory. Hakon designated roles to his pack, some warriors, some hunters and others gatherers. There was a finally a sense of being about the Drengr wolves. Hakon also introduced the training of the male pups of the pack, from a young age the pups were shown how to fight and hunt and how to care for the others of Drengr. But this harmony was not to remain.
When Hakon died, his two sons assumed leadership. The brothers; Akiak and Recur were prime examples of the Drengr line and they ruled together for a short time. Greed overtook Akiak, the eldest of the pair and he demoted his submissive brother to a beta position, crowning himself alpha or Dróttinn in their native tongue. Under Akiak, Drengr suffered mercilessly. The females were subjected to unspeakable horrors, deemed lower than dirt by the ruthless Akiak. Male pups were snatched from their mothers and begun training with brutal methods near enough from birth, only the strongest survived the training. Female pups were often killed at birth if they seemed weak, they had no other use. Akiak himself bore two pups to the female Sakari; Intyret and Meklorka. He doted on his son and had ordered his daughter's death but their mother's cries allowed her to keep the child, mute and weak as she was.
Young Intyret grew in awe of his father, unable to see the true nature of the tyrant. It wasn't until the death of his mother, who had starved herself to death in other to feed the young Lorka, did Tyr truly see Akiak for what he truly was. With the aid of his closest friends and uncle did Tyr take Lorka and flee from Drengr, with the intent to never return to that cruel place. Fully grown and happy in a new home with a family of his own, Tyr began to dismiss Drengr from his mind altogether. It wasn't until Lorka returned to him, heartbroken and hurt did Tyr see their mother in his sister's frightened eyes. All at once his memories of Akiak came flooding back and he knew he had to return to Drengr and end his father's reign. So he did, gathering his family he returned to the Arctic.
Tyr was met by his uncle, Recur, who let him pass without incident; he did however keep Tyr's family at bay as it was not their fight. Facing Akiak, Tyr saw all the pain around him with clearer eyes. Akiak, dismissed his son's claims and ordered the new warrior and hunter leaders to dispose of his wayward offspring. Unfortunately, Akiak was an impatient soul and when the fight between the three went on too long he himself went for his son. It was by some unknown force Akiak became distracted long enough for Tyr to overpower and kill him, thus claiming his rightful place at the head of the Drengr wolves and leaving Akiak's cruelty as a horrible memory.

Meet the council
Tyr » The eldest child and only son of the tyrant Akiak. Placed in training with the other males as a pup he showed great promise as a warrior and strived to make his father proud of him and be the heir that Akiak always wanted. As he grew though Tyr began to see Akiak's true colours, and with his eyes opened to the real way the pack was run he wanted nothing more to do with Akiak's corruption or the brainwashed pack that he was supposed to inherit. After the death of their mother Tyr saw his chance and he took his sister and they fled from everything they'd ever known. Together they found freedom and a new home, and Tyr made a new life for himself away from Drengr, falling in love and even starting a family. But as much as he tried to forget and put it behind him memories of Drengr continued to haunt him with each passing day, and finally knowing what he had to do Tyr and his family finally returned. Facing off in a final battle with his father he was able to finally end Akiak's reign and with his mate he took his rightful place at the head of the pack. Far different from his father Tyr now aims to bring Drengr together and rid the land of Akiak's poison, making it the pack it could have and should have always been.
Jezzy » Thousands of years ago when gods walked the earth, a god in his prime fell in love with a young mortal. To them a child was born, a baby girl who was the first god to ever be born of love. From the moment of her birth she was just that, a goddess who was the very embodiment of love itself. Jezzy's life was nearly ended in its first few moments when the god of hellfire took his rage out on his eldest son and took his mate's life, his godhood, and nearly his daughter. To keep her safe from his father's wrath Jezzy was raised by a young couple, and she nor they ever knew of the power dwelling inside her, or the reason her strange vial would glow at any stoke of emotion. Time passed, and she could only watch as her parents, brothers and sisters, and generations of her family die off. Thousands of years went by the confused goddess before that fateful day she wandered into Endore. There she found her father, and to run into the mighty god was none the less shocking. From him she learned of her past, her gift. Throughout the years Jezzy gave her heart twice, but her vial only once. Now her very immortality rests on the broad chest of her mate. Today the forever youthful goddess resides happily in the great lands of Drengr, proudly following wherever Tyr leads them.
Rec » The younger brother of the late Alpha, Recur was always second to his powerful sibling. They fought each other under their own father's rule and when the time came for Akiak to take control, Rec stood as his Beta. Being the subordinate to the ruthless Alpha Rec found himself often having to agree with horrors he could not ever condone yet he had no voice with which to speak his grievances. The Alpha's word was law. Though the larger and stronger of the brothers, Rec was bound by pack law not to challenge his tyrannical brother. Under Akiak's order the emerald sabre has murdered and abused many leaving him emotionally damaged. Rec felt nothing when his nephew killed his brother and accepted the new Alpha without hesitation. He is strong-minded and loyal yet his temper is formidable when aggravated. A powerful warrior and hunter he is one of the largest males in the pack and keeps a watch over both Yarak and Hino and their subordinates. He lives up to his name and title and as such is often the voice of reason in many pack disputes.
Yarak » As Rekkr, Yarak has always been a strong leader, but a sharp-tongued one. He was famously regarded as somewhat insolent during Akiak's rule - particularly by the leader himself, but despite this his intuition and sharp wits have allowed him to rise to head the warriors of Drengr. Jibes and snide remarks are a staple of Yarak's vocabulary, but no matter what he consistently speaks the truth and so he is difficult to argue with. When the pack came under Tyr's rule, Yarak gave little indication of emotional response. He never had much loyalty toward Akiak, merely a muted respect borne of the leader's allowance of his eccentricities. His scorn has dissipated somewhat recently however, as he feels obligated to return the respect Tyr has offered to all of them in a way that Akiak never did. Regardless, if he found Tyr's rulings questionable there is no doubt he would make that clear…although perhaps in a more civil manner than expected.
Hino » Hino, like most of the wolves in Drengr, has been raised since birth to become the best of the best. Rising to the top of the heap as the lead hunter, he's worked and sacrificed a lot to get to where he is. Extremely loyal to the leaders and the council, he will always strive to give 120% into anything he is put into. His father was a decorated veteran, and Hino has hoped to emulate him in every way. He has a younger sister named Tiare, whom he loves dearly - despite of how females are supposed to be viewed in the pack. He has tried to make sure she's been well-cared for, even going so far as lying to save her. Because of his high rank, Hino may come off as a gruff and strict individual. His personality has been molded by the society around him, and perfection demands perfection. Hino has strived to become one of the best hunters on the pack, and wants to make sure that all hunters below him follow his example. Yet around his sister, his personality does a complete 180. Around Tiare he is protective, caring, and will literally do anything to secure his sister's safety. Though he doesn't show his caring side too often, and is mostly described as being 'hot-headed.'
