I'm back for this year's Altador Cup!

AC 3 is about to start and I'm going to go to Canada in 2 1/2 weeks :( I hope my fellow
Darigans play well.
updates:
- the problem with the messy background image has been fixed (not for Internet Explorer though)
- the link section has been changed a bit. Links are divided into three cathegories: Graphics,
Team support and Other pages.
- the texts have gotten a nice update

Introduction

Why did I create this Site?
That's quite easy to explain - although my English is very bad and I would be thankful if I didn't
get many neomails complaining about it...
I just love to draw (especially neopets themed stuff) and from
the very beginning I wanted to create banners for special plots or other events on Neopets. But
my problem was and still is that I can't finish any projects. For example, I had 3 or 4 versions of
Stardeath260's Petpage and the final one has went online mostly because I entered my little
Faerie to the Beauty Contest (she got second again).
And now it's my first banner themed Petpage on Neopets. Ok it's Imtime's site (shes happy that
I took hers and not the one from her older sister or brother), but the most important point is
the Altador Cup.

And I'd love to get Neomails containing something about this site, even if its only about my
bad grammar or spelling ;)
Last but not least: I'm very proud to offer 112 banners, including
Jelly World and a neutral one, on my petpage! So take a look and feel free to use them.

The Altador Cup

The Official Altador Cup Homepage

You haven't heard of Yooyuball yet?
Yooyuball is the main and most important game of the Altador Cup.
I will not explain how to play it, only something in general; if you want further information, go to the
Official Altador Cup Homepage, or visit my affiliates.
Back to the tournament. Every world sends one team to win the Altador Cup and to do so, they
have to win in Yooyuball, which is a typical team play like soccer. Your task is to play for your
team and to win as many times and with as many goals as possible. So you contribute points to
your team, and in the end, the points, which your "team" has made, are added together. We
still do not know exactly how Neopets calculates them, but it's likely that they add the points
and divide them by the number of players.
Those points or scores are compaired to the scores of the opposite team and the winner gets
one point. During 2007's period, every team has played against every other team twice; And
additionally, there were two other "side games" called Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise.
Those gave points as well, but less then the main game Yooyuball. In Slushie Slinger, you are
a waitress, who has to serve thirsty spectators. In Make Some Noise, you play a crazy blue
techo, who cheers for his team as hard as he can.

The first Altador Cup, however, was a bit different. First, there was only Yooyuball, and one team
competed against another one, which was randomly chosen by TNT. You only played against
a few opponents with different degrees of difficulty, so that this kind of competition was quite
unfair. This is probably why Neopets has changed the Altador Cup for 2007.
Finally Something about the teams.
There are some teams, which seem to be good (according to the past AC results), and some,
which look quite bad. But this is not because they are actually bad. The player's contribution
are what makes them great, so a team with many players, who are mostly freeloaders, can be much
worse than a small one.

The, let's say, "quality" of a squad is not the same every year; Look at Haunted Woods, which
has been first in 2006, and has not even made it to the finals in 2007.
What does this say? It says that you should choose the team you like the most, not because
of advertisment at the neoboards, but because you feel corresponding to a neopian world.
