Hello there! My name is Hurvy and I hope my page here gives you some insight on me and my life here in Neopia. My page is still under construction, but I hope you enjoy what is up. Stick around as long as you want!

My Story:

The wind blew fiercely that night, its warm touch searing my fur. The sun had decided to tuck itself away on the horizon at that time, its round golden body slowly beginning to vanish. The lands of Tyrannia are said to be some of the best in all of Neopia, but that is a fact I beg to differ.

I laid within a small cleft in the side of one of the large rocky formations that were scattered all around the borders of the plateau. It was cool here, and I wished I could stay there forever. My stomach nagged me with its consistent and constant growls and I was not able to fight back much longer. I hadn't ate in two days and I felt my body becoming weaker.

I stood up, my leg joints aching and popping. I began my decent down the little rocky incline, careful where to place my feet. Each step sent sharp pain up my paws. I was not built for this sort of terrain. I tried to keep myself balanced on the unsteady mountain of rocks, but lost my footing when I took a wrong step and found myself tumbling downwards to the earth.

Rocks banged my head and limbs and I tried to grab hold of something, anything, to stop my fall. I succeeded at twisting my body around to snag hold of a jutting stone. Pebbles and rocks continued to fall down and out of view range. I heaved myself up, gasping for breath. I laid there for a moment, telling myself to take a quick rest. I knew I couldn't, though. Night was soon arriving and I had to take advantage of all the light I could.

It was easier traveling at this time. Most of the neopets around were tucking themselves in for the evening or on their way home. This left the area relatively empty and open to wanderers like myself.

I sat up and looked down to the plateau below. I couldn't see the location of the Giant Omelet from my position, but could smell its sweet flavors from even this distance. It, and my stomach, begged me on, so I got to my feet and continued climbing down.

* * *

I made it to my destination just as the sun had almost went completely down. There was but a sliver of light left in the sky. The moons, stars, and satellites lighted the rest of the night sky. My feet and back were aching, but at least now the rock surface of the land had flattened out, making walking much easier.

The massive Tyrannian omelet had been massacred, just as it always was by the end of each day. Neopets and their owners come from all over to take a slice of its abundance of flavors. There were very few pieces left, but I saw no other Neopians around and tenderly walked up to it. I grabbed a small piece with my mouth and pulled it away. I ran off with it a few yards before sitting down and devouring it. It was pea and carrot flavor - my favorite.

After finishing it off, I groomed my feet and mane until all the crumbs were gone. My stomach was still only partially filled up, but it would have to do until tomorrow. It was risky business trying to take more than your share of the omelet when there were so many hungry mouths to feed. Sabre-X would not be pleased.

As I made my way along towards the Jungle, I pondered on where I would sleep that night. I never slept in the same place too often. I had stayed in the cleft of the rock the longest, for five days, but felt it too hazardous to continuously climb up and down. I'd have to find somewhere else.

When I got close to the entrance of the Jungle, I saw a small group of Ogrins standing amongst the trees. I felt my fur raise up and my head lower. It was them
again. The group of Ogrins were a terror in the area. It was strange, Ogrins were typically such shy and friendly creatures. Least that's what they say. I had never seen many others like me aside from them. These were certainly not as they say, they were cruel and despicable. They ganged up on small Neopian wanderers and chased them off or taunted them. I had been their regular target for some time now.

I hope they wouldn't spot me coming in the fading light, but it was just my luck that they just so happened to look over just as I was passing through.

Hey there, no-name!" their leader, Crank, called to me. I didn't reply back and kept on going. He gestured with a flick of his head to the others and they all came galloping over to me. I felt the urge to run, but resisted. I was much too tired.

Crank was a yellow Ogrin, his stripes jagged and mane a ragged mess. He had once been owned by a caring owner, but he had abandoned him one day and since then he had been on his own, forming a vagabond group of fellow Ogrins. They gave even the fiercest of Skieths a run for their money.

Where you going, hmm?" he asked him, his tone less-than friendly. I ignored him, which only made him angry, "Reply to me no-name!" he shoved me with a foot.

I stumbled sideways and ran into one of his posse. He shoved me back. I tried my hardest to refrain from making eye contact with any of them. "Aww, what's wrong? You scared to look me in the face?" he taunted, "Come on! Don't be such a wimp!" he shoved me full force with both of his front legs, sending me flying to the ground.

He laughed and turned around and proceeded to kick me fiercely with his hind legs. I tried to get up and flee, but the others joined in and began to kick and stomp me. With each blow I was knocked back down. Knowing I couldn't escape from the brawl nor try to fight back from my fatigue, I simply tried to cover my face and head.

.:Picture will go here:.

Crank landed a hard hit in my stomach and I felt immense pain. I curled up in a tight ball but it went to no help. They all continued their beating, whamming me with everything they had. I felt my mind slipping away from me. Their voices and all the noise around me was slipping away. Then I heard a voice yell out right before everything went black, "Hey! Leave him alone!"

* * *

I awoke with my entire body aching. I felt bruises beginning to form and a raging headache erupting in my head. I groggily opened my eyes to see light. I thought it was the sun at first, but then I realized I was sitting upon a soft surface. There surely was no terrain as this in Tyrannia. I opened my eyes to see I was not in Tyrannia at all, but a Neohome! I was resting upon a large pillow, the perfect size for me.

I looked around curiously, admiring everything in the home. The out from a door beside me came a blue Zafara, a crystal necklace around her neck.

Well, hi there!" she said with a peppy voice. She held a plate of some sort of green jelly in her hands, "Want some?"

No thank you." I told her, though my stomach protested this, "Can you tell me where I am, though?"

Oh! Don't worry none. You're here at my house! Or, er, my owner's, rather." she nodded.

How did I get here?" I asked, tilting my head to the side. She was just about to reply back when a green Acara came walking in, looking quite irritable, "Taiya what did you do with my "Haunted Mynci" book? I told you to stop taking my--" he stopped talking when he saw me and his face turned to appear a little surprised.

Oh, is this him?" he turned to the Zafara and she nodded in reply.

I was just about to tell him how I rescued him!" she smiled and turned back to me, "I saw those other Ogrin's beating up on you and told them to bug off."

Did it work?" I asked, shocked that she had been brave enough to do such a thing.

Nah, the one yellow guy told me to bug off back so I kicked him in the face." she giggled and smiled, her eyes closed as if she were quite proud of herself. The Acara face palmed and shook his head.

So… how did I get here?" I asked.

I brought you back, silly! Us Zafaras are stronger than we look! Plus you seemed to weigh, like, negative two pounds or something." she nearly shoved the jelly to my face, "Are you suuuure you don't want any?"

Well, maybe just a tiny bit…" I said, eager to eat something else as my stomach was rumbling, "What are your names?"
I'm Kint." the Acara said.
And I'm Taiya!" said the Zafara and she began to cut the jelly with a butter knife, "Do you have a name?"

Well… no, actually…" my voice trailed off. I had never been given a name as I had never been owned before.

That's good then! Cause our owner just gave you one." she said as she handed me my slice.

O-oh. Really? What is it?" I felt excitement growing inside me. A name at last!

Hurvy." she replied. I recited the name in my head. I liked it.

Nice to meet you, then, Hurvy!" Kint greeted as he sat down.

We ate and talked together for hours, telling each other about ourselves and of our interests. Before I knew it, I realized I no longer had to venture back to the terrible living of being a owner-less pet. I had an owner now, and a home, but more importantly, a family.

If I had to choose, I'd say my favorite area of Neopia to have an adventure in is the Haunted Woods. I know, it's such an eerie place and certainly worthy of its name. You have to be very careful there as getting lost in the expanse of woodland is quite an easy thing to do. Once you know your way around it is an excellent place to play and tell scary stories to your friends, though. Your imagination is endless in the Woods, which makes it such a great place to visit. I also got my Haunted Petpet, MuffinPuff the Gangee, there.

MuffinPuff (I didn't name her, thank Taiya for that) is a fantastic little pet to have. She can get very aggressive towards other neopets, even my own siblings, but she loves me, it seems. She enjoys riding on my back when we go exploring and I often take her back to the Haunted Woods to visit her old friends and to learn more of the place of her origin. If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't have grown a love for the Woods as I have.
