Refreshing Safely
Many of the challengers require refreshing, however, there are right and wrong ways to go about this:
Right ways:
*Press the f5 key repeatedly for a few minutes, allowing the page to load.
*Hold down the f5 key for 10 seconds at a time, then take a moment to check your 1-player page to see if you got the challenger.

Wrong ways:
*Setting something heavy on the f5 key and wandering off to make a sandwich.
DO NOT DO IT these ways under any circumstance:
*Use a program which refreshes for you.
*Use Opera or another browser that can refresh all wind*ws, opening up the page with any number of wind*ws, and hitting "refresh all". This will in most cases get you frozen, as humans cannot refresh this fast, only a program. Programs of any type are a BIG nono. Just stick to hitting f5 while you are at the keyboard.

Checking for the challengers
If you are unsure whether you have a certain challenger or not, just go to your 1-player challengers list.

Reading the table below
The color of each challenger's name is the same as the background color you will find them with on your 1-player challengers page. This is to aid you in spotting them quicker if they are already on your list. The number below that is their difficulty rating, which is generally similar to their starting number of hit points.

Collecting your trophy
Trophies are not given to you automatically. You must collect them at Defenders headquarters. Click:

Different Defenders of Neopia Series
On April 12th, 2006, DoN series one finally came to an official close, but it was announced that DoN series two would now begin! To clear up some misconceptions, YES, you can play both series at the same time, and NO, doing series two will not overwrite series one in any way. They are separate trophy slots. Go to Defender's Headquarters to play the series.

Defenders of Neopia: Series One

#1 Rescue Ginny's Bike	Pant Devil 21	The Pant Devil is a random event that steals an item from you. The first time he does this, he will appear in your 1-player challenger list. Once again he is completely random, and it could take days, months, or (possibly) even years to get him. Another alternative is to spin the Wheel of Excitement as often as possible. If you land on the Pant Devil, he will become listed as one of your challengers, even though there will be no event to inform you.
#2 Neohome Nightmare	Ghost Lupe 32	If you look closely at the first panel of the DoN comic, you'll see a house address. Go to Pet Central, and go to Neohome, then select neighbourhood. #3 Kidnapped!	Cave Chia 58	For this challenger, just go to the "Cave Paintings" area of Tyrannia. Keep refreshing on that page until he appears. Quick link: http://www.neopets.com/prehistoric/painting.phtml.
#4 Meuka Attacks!	Meuka 60	Your Neopet must have the disease "Sneezles" or "Neoflu", either from random event, Wheel of Excitement, or any other method. Adopting a Neopet from the pound that happens to have the disease also works. When they are still sick, visit your quick ref page to acquire Meuka as a challenger.
#5 The Brain Tree's Bad Day	The Brain Tree 91	Go to the Haunted Woods, and accept a quest from the Brain Tree. Acquire the information he needs by feeding the Esophagor twice. Remember to copy down the information EXACTLY. Return to the Brain Tree, enter the information and complete the quest to receive him as a challenger.

#7 The Tiki Curse	Tekkitu the Witch Doctor 120	Go to Mystery Island and pay 50np to take a Tiki Tour. Quick link: http://www.neopets.com/island/tikitours.phtml

If you left the temple in the room with the statue of the faerie, say anything to the faerie, and you will be kicked out of the temple.
