- blocked form tag -no_html_comments-It was Easter morning, Y5, and morgana52 and yodana decided to take their many pets on an Easter egg hunt. (Unfortunately, Cell from Dragon Ball Z, who insisted on following them everywhere, came too.) The hunt was going fairly well - Maani and Angel the Christmas Zafaras were using their big eyes, good hearing, and wings to scout out more eggs than the rest, Damie the Gelert tripped over something as usual and commiserated with his friend Sting, also a Gelert. Nothing out of the ordinary, really... Kio the Lucky Shoyru had been... well, lucky. Some of the eggs had just about fallen on top of his nose, showering him with jelly beans and chocolate, which Damie quickly tried to steal. The older Shoyru didn't really care, just plugged on, sighing a little at his younger brother. Kio walked along, whistling slightly and watching his younger (and older) siblings cavorting around, having fun. He wasn't really paying attention to where he was going. He chuckled a little as he saw Kitts the Acara and Elli the Peophin getting into a typical brother-sister fight, shaking his head and only then glancing back at his footing. He flailed his arms, tail and wings all at once, trying to stop without falling over on top of the two eggs sitting neatly together in a tuft of grass. He was lucky he'd seen them at that moment, really. :Huh, lucky again:, he thought, rolling his eyes. But soon he'd turned his attention back to the two rather unusual eggs lying in the grass by his feet. These were certainly *not* the brightly colored plastic eggs, hollow and filled with candy, that were supposed to be hidden here. For one thing, they were much too big.... nearly the same size as Kio's head. For another... Kio hefted up one, white with gold and light yellow spots, turning it over in his hands. It certainly didn't look like any plastic egg he'd ever seen... and if it was hollow, then he'd put on a dress and become the Faerie Queen. "Hey Morgana? Yodana? Guys?" he called, carefully setting the white and gold egg next to its mate, also white but with blue and silver spots. Morgana rushed over, slowing down as she saw what Kio was kneeling next to. Yodana also sat down next to the two eggs, watching them carefully. Kio ran a paw over the eggs, staring at them. "I'm almost certain these are *Neopet's* eggs," he murmured, looking at the two humans and the gang of Neopets assembled behind them. Morgana gave Kio an intense look, then picked up the gold-speckled egg and cradled it in her arms. "Only one way to find out," she said softly, smiling at the egg and wrapping the extra folds of her shirt around it. Yodana grinned at Morgana and picked up the silver-and-blue egg. "Listen... it's talking!" she exclaimed, putting her ear to it. The others didn't need to do the same to hear the slight squeaking noises now coming from both eggs. "They're hatching!" Cacci the Lupert squealed with delight. The silver-and-blue egg cracked first, and a little white bundle of fur tumbled onto Yodana's lap. The gold-and-yellow egg wasn't far behind, with its own tiny fuzzball for Morgana to hold. The silence was broken by Cell's groan. "Oh no, not *more* of them." Angel reverently pulled out a frying pan and clanged it over Cell's head, knocking him to the ground. Morgana glanced gratefully at Angel before turning back to the baby in her lap. Two Cybunnies... but not ordinary ones. Yodana's, born just a little earlier, seemed like a blue Cybunny. Then, she (undoubtedly a she) uncurled from her little ball, blinked two huge green eyes below a crescent moon on her forehead, and unfurled a pair of tiny silver wings. "...!..." Yodana said, watching the baby. Morgana had a handful of her own... the yellow Cybunny rolled over and flapped her golden wings, waving paws with gold bands around them like tiny bracelets of fur. She stared slightly cross-eyed with soft brown eyes between her gold-striped forehead and sunburst on her chest. Morgana and Yodana looked at each other, then back to the tiny Cybunnies. "They're like... twins," Morgana whispered, scratching hers under the chin. The baby made a squeaking noise in pleasure and snuggled under Morgana's arm. "We should keep them," Cacci suggested brightly, staring over each human's shoulder in turn at the babies. Morgana smiled gently down at the fuzzball in her arms. "Of course." She thought for a moment, then made up her mind. "I'll call you Hiretia," she told the babe softly, as the newly named Hiretia giggled. "And this one..." Yodana pondered. "She should be... Sakura Kitsun! How do you like that, Sakura?" Sakura snuggled more deeply into Yodana's lap, curling up and starting to sleep peacefully. Her fellow Cybunny soon followed. Kio looked up at Morgana, an unreadable look in his eyes. "Do you really think they're twins?" Morgana shrugged. "Who knows? Something tells me we won't ever know where these two came from..." "... But that's all right," Yodana finished, picking up Sakura and standing up, trying not to jostle the baby's sleep. "We don't really need to know." "No, we don't!" Cacci exclaimed. "Not to love them!" All of them agreed with that.

Twins or best friends? Is it one, the other, or maybe both? We can't really tell how Hira and Sakura are related. And who really needs to know? After all, they're close enough as it is.

Sakura's the moon, Hira's the sun... two young winged Cybunnies, both feminine, both friendly. They fit so well together, who could question it?
