Personality

A bit of a true nut, Hiqe loves life. Really. She loves just about everything in it, with the exception of apples, being broke, and loneliness. She's often chatty and bouncy, almost always in a good mood and willing to chat with strangers and give them a hand. You might even use the word 'hyper', but that's only when she's had more than a cup of coffee a day.

She likes money, but isn't obsessed with greed. Money is a good motivator, though, if you're in a tight spot. Despite this, she has a pure heart and has the unique ability to read people like books. She has a good sense of the character of a person, and often uses this sense in her line of duty - after all, only the pure of heart can be sent forward or backward in time.

She does have a terrible lazy streak, though. Procrastination is her middle name. Organization is also a skill she lacks; her time shop is a mess, and she can never find what she's looking for when she needs it. And her temper is something to fear, that's for sure. A short fuse with a big explosion - that's Hiqe's temper, and you'd best hope that you're not on the receiving end when it comes.

All in all, she's a cheerfully lazy girl who loves deeply but has a nasty temper.

Abilities

Hiqe is a time mistress, having the ability to manipulate time. This includes several different parts of it. She also channels her power through her staff, which has been passed down through her family line, as is the time power. It only travels through the female in the family, and so as Hiqe was an only child, she inherited the powers.

Speeding Up/Slowing Down: Hiqe can speed time up or slow it down. This ability only works for herself; she hasn't tried getting the effects to work on someone else yet. If she speeds up time for herself, then things around her seem to move in fast-forward, ultra-fast time. If she slows it down, things seem to move in very slow-motion, giving her the time to move around and do as she needs without worrying about being hindered.

Rewinding Past: Hiqe cannot rewind time entirely to go back to the past, but she can rewind and 'watch' the past, most often memories. If someone wanted to see what they did to drive a former lover away, for example, Hiqe would rewind to that period of time and the two could watch. They can't alter it, though; it works much like a television, with sound, color and movement, but they cannot touch it or alter it in any way.

Sending Others Through Time: Hiqe also, in very rare cases, can send others through time, be it to the past or future. If they have a very good reason for the move, she'll do it. This is so rare, though, that she has only ever done it once, to a girl by the name of Lori who wanted to be united with her soul mate who she had met previously. Convincing her to do this, though, will take a lot, and you must have a true-hearted reason for the jump before she'll accept.

Lori: This girl...eh, I dunno what to say about her! I mean, she's a dirty rotten thief that stole my staff from me! I did get it back, though, heh. But despite that she's got a good heart and a good purpose, besides the whole stealing-thing. I sent her to the future after some talking, so I only met her briefly, but...I think she's a good person, and I hope she's okay, wherever she is.

Xirett: This dude is pretty cool too. He's blind, so I felt dumb when I tried to show him around my shop, but he seemed alright with that. And he's a nice guy as well. I almost forget that he's blind, actually! Funny how that works, eh? I'd consider him a friend.
