The speaker seems to be a fairly harmless turquoise female aisha, with short messy blue hair kept in a purple clip. Her face is wrapped in a long violet scarf - a pathetic tattered rag with rips and frayed edges - yet her voice does not seem muffled.
You snicker. You can't help it. This tiny little girl wants a fight? Oh, bring it.

´I mean it.´

You're surprised. Her voice contains so much venom in it. In fact, you don't think you've ever heard anyone speak to you with this much loathing in it.

´Sharing is caring, little girl. There's enough room for the both of us.´

You can't help it, and the words laced with sarcasm slip out of your mouth oh-so-easily, though you weren't planning on saying them.

´What did you say?´ The aisha demands angrily, her eyebrows knitted together.

´"Sharing is caring",´ you repeat. What an idiot - she hasn't even heard of this common phrase.

´No, after that.´

´...Little girl?´ You ask, confused.

You're caught off guard by a smooth punch to the jaw. Luckily you didn't get knocked off the wall. You rub your hand on the contours of your jawline, now red from the blow.

´I'm not a girl.´ The aisha says through gritted teeth.

What a liar... She's so definitely female... I mean, look at that-- wait... Now that you look clearly, she does look a bit... male. What a genderbender, this is giving you a headache.

´I-I'm sorry! I didn't know! I'll leave now!´ You stammer, embarrassed at your mistake.

Oh, relax. It's happened to everyone who's been on this page.

´Doesn't matter. You can stay. It's nice having someone look into the sky with me.´

You don't even want to point out that you came here to read, not look into the sky like some lame shoujo manga.

´I'm guest.´

´I'm Hikari Sora.´

´It's nice to meet you, Hika-´

He turns away from the clouds and glares at you.

´Never call me that.´

There's an awkward silence, but you decide to be the bigger person.

´It's nice to meet you, Sora.´

A pause.

´...It's nice to meet you too. I guess.´

But one day, when Hikaru was 14, something happened that disrupted the average monotony that was his day-to-day life. A new kid. A girl. Her name was Hayashi Amaya, and she wasn't average at all. She was rich, pretty, confident, and everyone liked her.

Hikaru, startled by the arrival of this above-average girl, developed quite a crush on her through the course of a couple months. Finally, not knowing what to do, he confessed his feelings for her on a bright snowless winter day.

´You? Don't make me laugh, you girly wuss.´

Her words ringing in his ears, Hikaru made his way home. Actually, he never quite got there. Even when you're lost in your thoughts, please remember to keep an eye on the traffic. Hikaru didn't follow these wise words, and, well, you probably know what happened.

Luckily for Hikaru, someone up there liked him.

´Takahashi Hikaru... You will be reborn as a soul reaper.´

He was assigned his new name, Hikari Sora, and was sent to work. Unfortunately, Hikari Sora was still Hikaru, and Hikaru was a bit of a wuss. He couldn't stand taking human lives, and was sent to work in Neopia.

For some reason, Hikari Sora took quite a liking to Neopia.

´Can I... stay here?´

The deity up there definitely liked him.

´You may stay in Neopia... For now.´

Hikari Sora gave his thanks, and ventured out, now an aisha, into the land of Neopia.

While looking for an 'owner', he came across a notice on a bulletin board.

It read: "Two aishas and a human looking for roommates. Apply now!"

...And he ended up living in a broken down, dodgy looking house in the middle of the Haunted Woods.

Aitoko - Aitoko. She's a bit annoying sometimes, to be honest. I've never met anyone this cheerful and upbeat. She used to call me little sister, which didn't exactly put the spring in my step.

Atorii - Atorii and I are basically like oil and water, we fight quite often. I'm sure anyone else could tell you that. Atorii despises me because I am "weak" in his eyes. I just find him an annoyance.

Hotaruhi - Hotaru's cool. He's a little girly-looking, I think, but no one makes fun of him for it. Well, except for a brief era in time where Aone's friend called him "Hotaru-hime". I look up to him quite a lot. He has good taste in music, but horrible taste in pranks. He's a little egotistical, but I admire his confidence.

Anstiss - I get along with Anstiss quite well. He's a really good listener. He's never made a comment on my name or appearance, because he gets quite a few comments himself too.

Jin - Jin's jiangshi hunter, so I guess I can kind of relate to him, with the shinigami thing, in a way. He's not home very often. Sometimes he stays out and sleeps in the woods. He's kind of odd.

Tuloa - Tuloa's a life saver. Before she joined our household, Aitoko called me her "little sister". I think Tuloa talked her out of it or something, so that died down a little.

Lion - Lion's mute, so it's not like he can really be rude. I like hanging out with him, though. Silence is quite calming. We usually just explore the Haunted Woods or watch clouds. I don't like how he hero-worships Atorii though...

Kouxios - Kouxios is... quite entertaining, really. She fancies herself a drama student, so she tries her best to fit in and try to be jaded and cynical, but she's just too upbeat and peppy. It's sort of mean for me to say this, but honestly, it's funny to watch her try so hard.

Tai - Tai's Kouxios' older sister, only she acts more like a brother than anything. She's nice, but she works odd hours so I don't see her around much. I don't like how everyone says she's more masculine than me though.

Cyanihde - I try to steer clear of this one, to be honest. Everyone else only has bad things to say about him, except Hotaru, but his judgement is... Anyway, I've heard that he deems me unworthy of his time, so I don't see why I should bother.

Tohxik - He's Cyanihde's brother. I don't really know him well; he goes to boarding school so he's not home much.

Tae - Tae's quite kind. He treats me like his little brother, so he's similar to Hotaru in that way. He lives for the beach, so he goes to Mystery Island a lot. He brings me back silly souvenirs often, sometimes I think he thinks I'm 6.

Kitah - I quite admire Kitah, she's a really strong person, emotionally and physically too. She treats me like a little kid, but that's better than being on her bad side.

Zan - Zan's the youngest. Instead of like, toy trains or whatever, he's really into flowers. It's sort of weird, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Takeriu - Takeriu came from the human world too - the same country, even. Like me, he's grown to like Neopia much more. He's always looking for adventure, so it's quite tiring to hang around with him too long.

Aone - Aone is my human guardian. She owns the house we live in. She's kind of a dork, but she's nice.

Shuya - Shuya is my meowclops. Aone gave him to me on my birthday, she found him loitering in the woods. He's quite meek, except I've taught him to hiss at Atorii. It's not much, but...

i'm no xenophobe.

Kat - I met Kat in the Haunted Woods one day. I kind of collided and knocked her over - demonstrating how coordinated I am, naturally. I bought her an ice pop, and we talked... Or she did, I think. I'm more of a listener, but I have to admit I don't remember much. It's been a while.

??? - A strange girl I met on the streets one night. I think she was stealing something. A man was chasing her, and for some reason she dragged me along. At least I got a tchea fruit out of it - she gave me one after he was out of sight. Uhm, cool, thanks...? She disappeared really fast, though.
