I have tried to make this paint brush guide as complete as possible.I have updated price list as of 10/10/08! I also apologize if anything important has been missed! Everyone Wants to Know about Paint Brushes
First of all you need to know what color your pet or petpet can be painted! To find out,go to the Rainbow Pool in Neopia Central and click on it.Now,you see the topics at the top of the page? Alright,now click on either *ALL PET COLOURS* OR *ALL PETPET COLOURS* SELECT SPECIES OR COLOR and from the dropdown box select your color paint brush you have or want to own or the pet/petpet you want to paint.IF your particular pet/petpet can be painted the colour paint brush you own or want to buy,have it in your inventory go back to the rainbow pool and go through the first process to select pet or petpet colours then scroll to bottom and it will ask/tell you which pet can be painted,you click in the tiny circle by that pet/petpet and you now have a painted pet or petpet.It is Much simplier than this explaination makes it sound

Just an IMPORTANT NOTE:

IF someone tells you if you buy/trade them your hard earned neopoints for a GIFT BOX which holds a paint brush,DO NOT FALL FOR IT, IT IS A SCAM TACTIC,Paint Brushes are NOT CONTAINED INSIDE OF A GIFT/GIFT WRAPPED BOX!Also some Halloween Goodies Bags MIGHT contain a Halloween paint brush,BUT IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE YOU WILL FIND ONE in that goodie bag,so check shop wiz on the price BEFORE BUYING ANY OF THOSE as it might just contain a party favour of some type!

Where Do I get Paint Brushes?
There are many ways to obtain paint brushes and petpet paint brushes!
You can WIN them from the Fruit Machine Daily Spin. There is a VERY SLIM chance you can win a Halloween paint brush from the TEST YOUR STRENGTH GAME on Terror Mountain,it is EXTREMELY RARE to win one BUT it DOES happen.You can WIN them by turning a Nerkmid in at the Alien Aisha Vending Machine. You can get a paint brush or petpet paint brush from a Faerie in a Random EVENT! You can play the World challange Games and WIN pieces of the Cities map pieces and once you have collected all 20 pieces of a particular cities map you can turn them in for prizes,like a paint brush and 2000 np's,BUT you can also just win items like a codestone and 2000 np's but that's a chance you take.

Another Random Event is Jack 0 the Phantom Painter who might also GIVE you a FREE Paint Brush.And if you want a Baby Pet,BOOCHI can fire his ray at your pet and if your lucky will turn that active pet into a baby version of your active pet,but BOOCHI will MISS if that particular pet cannot be painted Baby.Rumour has it,and TNT verified it in a Neopian Times Article,you can also snag a paint brush while fishing but that is one of THE MOST RARE EVENTS to be able to get one from.

You can also buy/find all different 9 pieces of the Secret Laboratory Map and LAB RAY your PET, the full secret laboratory map sells for roughly 1,000,000 (1 million) np's from trades or you can find them in other players shops piece by piece,some pieces are now unbuyable and only from trades,or get them from a random event and complete it one piece at a time.Once you have the SECRET LABORATORY MAP COMPLETE AND CAN USE IT TO ZAP YOUR PETS,THEN YOU CAN BUY/Find all 9 pieces of the Petpet Lab map,sells for 1000 np's each piece OR approx. 10,000 np's from Trading post, and have the petpet lab ray to zap your petpets. IMPORTANT NOTE: You MUST HAVE THE SECRET LABORATORY MAP TO ZAP YOUR PETS *BEFORE* YOU CAN USE THE PETPET LAB MAP TO ZAP YOUR PETPETS.Once a petpet has been zapped by the petpet lab ray,IF you REMOVE if from your PET,IT WILL CHANGE BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL SPECIES AND COLOR AND WILL NO LONGER BE PAINTED!

Paint Brush Terminology
Let me Explain some Terminology first!
NP or NP'S means NEOPOINTS
PB means Paint Brush
PPPB means Petpet Paint Brush
PBP means Paint Brush Plushie,which is just a toy,not a real paint brush
Pure, means they want ONLY Neopoints and no items for their trade.

The *K* you see after numbers on the trading post and chat boards means 1000'S,therefore 100K equals 100,000 np's, 200K would equal 200,000 NP's and so on

UNBUYABLE...Sells for MORE THAN 100K FROM TRADES OR AUCTIONS ONLY(you can only price items in your shop up to 99999 np's)and you do not want to LOOSE NP'S BY SELLING AN UNBUYABLE WORTH OVER 100K AND MORE IN YOUR SHOP FOR 99999 NP'S DO YOU?

BUYABLE...Sells for LESS THAN 100K,can be bought from other players SHOPS/trades/auctions!

How Much do Paint Brushes Cost?
THIS IS A PRICE LIST GUIDE! ALL PRICES LISTED ARE CURRENT as of 10/10/08. ALL ARE THE *AVERAGE* TRADING POST/AUCTION/SHOP PRICES FOR BUYABLE/UNBUYABLE PAINT BRUSHES WHICH CAN BE BOUGHT FROM SHOPS,TRADES OR AUCTIONS,I will UPDATE Price List When I have time,which may not be immediate,when paint brush prices have changed. NOTE: Recently there has been a huge rise in the price of ALL paint brushes/petpet paint brushes on the trading post,BEWARE and research when buying ANY Paint Brush! Prices do inflate and deflate often especially when there is a new avatar from owning a certain painted pet or new pet/petpet which can be painted a new particular color or a NEW paint brush first comes out!

Lutari PB 7/14 Million Np's and UP,which in my personal opinion is totally RIDICULOUS, since everyone playing neopets cannot even access Lutari Island unless you own a certain cell phone and if you want to pound that painted lutari pet,it runs away,it cannot even be adopted,so why waste hard earned neopoints on something that you might tire of,or decide you like another new pet that has just come upon the scene, and will eventually pound, for it to just run away?(last one sold in auctions)
