[Story]

As you may have known, Hermione never knew her father. Well, at least in the early ages of her life. His father was missing for the last 2 months of his mother's pregnancy and 4 months after delivery. So Hermione and her brother, Gelerina were fatherless for a while. Then he just showed up. Tired, hungry, and bruised. Atleast when he got back, he had an amazing story to tell his new children. This is how it went:

Well, the last I saw your mother, I left her in our den so I could find some food for us. This was in the middle of winter so I had the hardest time finding food. Right when I thought finding food would be imposible, there it was, a perfectly healthy bush with tons of berries. It looked as if the harsh winter storm hadn't even touched it. With such joy, I started to run towards it. If I hadn't been so fucused on that bush then I probobly would have seen the trap. It was a trap hole in the ground; covered with old grass, dead branches, and who knows what. I didnt even pay any attention to it. I should have though. WHOOSH! I fell straight in. And there I found a few food items such as a nice juicy steak (a little on the cold side but hey, it was still a steak), a nice pile of berriers, and lastly, a mountain-high pile of bits and peices of fish, some kind of neopet meat, and to top it all off, a cherry. Yes, a cherry. I don't know what this human was thinking when he trapped me but hey, atleast I got food. I thought there must be someway that I could get this food and drag it out of here and take it to your mother. I'd say the hole was about eight or nine feet deep and about five feet wide. This made it nearly imposible to climb out. So, I had no choice but to eat up and sleep. I waited for about 3 days when finally the creator of this trechourus hole came to check if it had succeeded. And of cource, it had. It was a young boy. Dark black hair, small brown eyes, and had on what looked like an indian parka on. He just stood there for about 3 whole minutes when he finally shouted joyfully, "Whoooho!!! I did it! It actually worked! Dad will be so proud!". I just looked the other way trying to contain my anger with him. He pulled out some sort of gun and shot what looked like a dart. Whatever it was, I became so tired I couldn't help but sleep. When I woke up, I was in some sort of tipee. With a boiling pot of Broccoli Soup steaming in front of me. I woke up with a killer headache and bruises everywhere but I managed to gather enough energy to take a few sips and god, did it taste good. I slept and ate for about three more days when finally, that same boy that captured me, wrapped a collar around my neck and attached a leash. He led me outside and we walked around their camp. So, this went on for about maybe, three months. I was always full, and never thirsty. They seemed to know everything about me! I grew very fond of these strange people. And eventually, I became their pet. To gaurd and watch over them. But then I relized I had my own family to gaurd and protect. I had to sneak out and find your mother. So I waited until dusk and dug a little hole under the tipee I was in so I could escape without making too much noise. I got out succesfully. And I thought, while Im at it, I stole about three huge steaks. I ate one then and Id save the other two for your mother.I was so exited! I was going to finally see your mother! After all this time. I prayed everynight that I spent wandering around. Praying that I would make it there okay and she would be okay. I think I was lost a grand total of...five or so days. When I finally found our den. In between the two giant oaks with lots of scratches on its bark and just to the left of a giant, mossy boulder. I knew I was home. I started to howl as I ran. I slid right into the den, and feeling warm brushes of air again and again. Then I heard a few squeals. Had she found food on her own? I thought to myself. It's probobly just some kind of small rodent that she was about to divoure. But once I saw what it was, or should I say what they were, I nearly passed out all over again. Like I had been shot with that gun and I was off to dream land again. Bullet to the brain. I couldn't belive it! My own two children. A boy who was speckled, (just like me) and a little girl. A faerie like her mother. They had to be the smallest things I had ever seen. I felt bad I had missed their birth. I walked slowly over to your mother and gave her the steaks. I could tell she was smilling and she let out a sigh of releif, and slept. She and her new children had protection and could finally rest in peace. I was never so happy in my life. I was home. And I could share it with my three favorite Gelerts in all of Neopia.
