First and foremost, Ceeloi will remain male. He looks awesome the way he is and turning him female would be weird. Not to mention the Royalboy Pteri colors just don't look as cool so repainting is out too.

My character idea for Ceeloi is a charlatan and a trickster. He's not a noble, he's not a hero, and he's not really anybody important (yet). One day he was reading news about a noble from another land who would be visiting Brightvale and Ceelo had no idea who the guy was at all. That's when it hit him: most of these kind of people weren't famous because they had actually done something worthwhile! They were only famous because other people thought they were important. Well, why couldn't he be someone important then?

That's the basics of the idea, anyway. It's very much inspired by the fairy tale 'Cat In Boots', in which a cat uses his wits to win land, esteem, and a princess for his peasant born owner. Unlike that fairy tale, however, I'd like to make it that so that Ceelo hits some bumps along the way, and gets into trouble. Because it just wouldn't be fun if everything went easy for him. :)

To be 100% honest with you, however, I can't guarantee that this is the character idea that I'll stick with FOREVER AND EVER. I like it, and I think it would be fun to write, but my inspiration has been kind of spotty lately, so he could be subject to change. Hopefully you won't hold that against me too much, though. I really like Ceelo's color - I think it makes for a lot of possibilities - and I knew I had to at least try applying after you mentioned who you named him after. 8)
