confiserie's Bouncy Supreme Guide Links Play Game Current High Score Table Send me Questions or Comments Introduction The setting of Bouncy Supreme is an area of Jelly World with jelly volcanoes and jelly lava. Your character is a Jelly Blumaroo who is hopping away from a hungry Pterodactyl. Of course, bouncing on regular land would be no fun, so you must bounce over lava when bouncing from pillar to pillar. Your goal is to stay out of the lava, while hopping fast enough that you will not get eaten. The game will go on forever until you get eaten or lose all your lives due to falling into the lava. This makes me wonder why the little Blumaroo still thinks he has a chance. =P It's a rather simple game; it does not get increasingly difficult as the game goes on. I recommend using a regular or large game size, and muting the sound. Cheat Codes A very important tip is to type bouncebouncebounce for an extra life. This will give you a total of 4 lives. Type it at the start of the game so it will not cause a distraction later. Another cheat code that makes the spinning radar go away is r. I leave it on because it was there when I learned to play, but it is your choice.
Jumps For the first 3 jumps, you get a guide that tells you where you will land. After that, it is all up to you.
When there are 4 coins to catch, try to aim your pointer/white line towards the 2nd coin from the left. When there are 5 coins (which is less common), aim for the middle coin.
Now you have to determine the power/length of the white line. This is mainly figured out when practicing, but as a rough estimate, you can try going 2/3 of the way to the "target coin." When there is a significant height difference between your current pillar and your target one, you will need to adjust your power. When you are going from low to high, use a little more power than usual.
When going from high to low, use a little less power.
Also keep in mind that you have to adjust your power slightly if you are not centered on your pillar. In the above picture, for example, I had to add a little more power than I would have if I was centered. Lastly, try not to move your mouse in the middle of a jump. This makes it easier and faster to adjust your pointer for the next jump. You may be wondering why I have not mentioned the angle degree or the power percent at the bottom of the game window. Frankly, I find these to be a distraction. Your jumps can go much faster if you do not worry yourself with the numbers. Time The amount of time you have before the big, bad Pterodactyl comes is at the top of the game window. If you run out of time, the Pterodactyl will swoop down to eat you. This will end your game. Time will be added to your total every time you make a "perfect" jump (getting all the coins possible). The time limit should really not be a problem. You will have plenty of seconds left over once you make a lot of jumps. I don't recommend taking breaks in the middle of a game, unless it is urgent. After you take a break, you may lose a life while trying to get back into the swing of things. A fast, steady pace is best because it holds your attention. High Score Tips If you have your eye on that spiffy Bouncy Supreme trophy, you will need a pretty good score. Not to worry, though! With a lot of practice, you will be on that High Score chart before you know it. When training for a trophy, play every day until you beat your score from the previous day. At the beginning, your high score might sometimes double from day to day. This technique will gradually build up the amount of time you can focus on the game. You can be playing a single game for quite a while when going for a high score. When I got almost 50,000 points, the game took me an hour. Sadly, as you see below, the score did not send. Pwned! xD It's okay though, because it was not trophy-worthy at the time and it beat my old score by 20k.
When trying for a trophy, you may want to restart if you lose a life before a certain score. I recommend restarting if you lose one before 10,000 points, because I tended to lose more lives toward the end. However, you may choose a lesser score, like 5,000. Trophy Day Trophy Day is the unofficial term for the first of every month. On this day, the high score boards start the day off clean because they are cleared at midnight. This is the best day to try to get a trophy, because there are not as many scores to compete with. If a trophy day falls on a weekday, you simply play the best you can. If it falls on a Saturday or Sunday, however, things are a little different. On these days, The Neopets Team does not approve scores. Why? Because they are at home, giving themselves manicures, of course! Anyways, this is good news for you. For this game, TNT starts requiring high scores to be approved by them starting at 30,000 points. This means that on a weekend trophy day, you will want to get 29,999 or below so it does not have to be delayed. Check the high score board before you play, to see how high of a score you need to get. Remember that your rank may drop throughout the day. If you go just a little over the limit, you will most likely not get a trophy because TNT will also approve really high scores when they get back. If you go over but think you can keep going to at least 45,000 points, you should continue playing. There are no guarantees for high scores, though, because every month brings different competition. Below is an example of weekend trophy day scores. I removed all the usernames but my own because I did not know if the others would want to be in the screenshot.
This screenshot was taken in the morning, when I sent in my score. Later in the day I was knocked down to number 3 by someone who had gotten 2 more points. Luckily, though, I stayed there until midnight and got my gold trophy. Notice how close the scores are to each other. Lastly, don't send your score on Trophy Day unless it is trophy-worthy. You may want to play again if your score gets knocked off the board later in the day. Summary After you get the basics down, this game is simply a test of endurance. With the right amount of practice, you should be able to get a great score. :) More Guides |
