Janine's Sidebar Tutorial


This is my tutorial for making sidebars.I don't know if there are others,but I made this page out of my own free will.

Why I created a sidebar making guide:My friend Sara wanted me to make her a sidebar like the one on my lookup,and there were many sidebar making guides,but most were for the old neopets sidebar,which was VERY appealing and less confusing than the new one.Also,check out hirondelline's layouts!I got some inspiration from there! ^^


Step One:Open Paint and copy and paste this template into it.



Step 2: Edit It Any Way You Want.Add color,or an image.

That one is mine.

(Note: You do not have to put the words like my account,or pet central,or anything like that.

Step 3: Resize it to a height of 82 px.

Step 4: Upload it into the internet and use this code to apply it onto your UL,Shop,or wherever...




Note:You CAN change the color schemes.I will define them for you:

1.#main a {color:#3B397B;} is for the link color.And by link,I mean ALL links.


2.#main a:hover {color:#9AACCE;} This is for the color the links will end up when being hovered over.


3.a b{color:#6B3684;} This is for your neo stats.Like The Color link of your shop and gallery


4..user { color: #6B3684; }-For the Welcome and NP part of your UL.


5..contentModuleHeaderAlt,.contentModuleHeader{background:#ADD8E6;}-This one is for the sectional header of the tables on your info at your UL.


6. .contentModule {border: 1px solid #3B397B;}-For the border of your Stats tables


7. .sidebarHeader {background-color: #F0FFFF;}-Its hard to tell which this one was.Do you know?If so,drop me by a neomail.


8..sidebarModule {border: 2px solid #53518E;}-This one was hard to tell too.Know what its for?NM me!


9.body table,td,font,p,i,body,div,a{font-family:Arial;font-size:9pt;font-weight:normal;color:#191970;} body{background:#FFFFFF;}-The Outer Background Color ^^
