FAQ

What are secret ranks?

Your secret rank is proof of where you are in the quiz and is something you should only disclose to me, Weapon, because it also functions as a bookmark. Your rank first upgrades after Q5 and will then upgrade after every tenth question: Q10, Q20, etc.

If you would like your Scoreboard status (back in the Games section on FAL Main) updated at any time, simply neomail me your latest secret rank (and any bonus codes you may have collected).

Can I have a hint?

Yes. If you are very stuck on a question then you may neomail me for a hint if you'd like one. On the other hand, you might prefer to complete the quiz with no help at all. It's entirely up to you.

What are bonus questions? What can I do with my bonus codes?

Bonus questions appear every now and then in the later stages of the quiz. They aren't included in the 'total questions' count because they can be skipped. They are designed to be particularly difficult, so if you do manage to answer one correctly then you will be presented with a bonus code to prove you did so.

Much like the secret ranks, the bonus codes should not be disclosed to anyone other than me, Weapon. If you would like your Scoreboard status (back in the Games section on FAL Main) updated with your bonus codes, simply neomail me what they are.

What are guest questions? And how can I contribute one?

After Q100 you might stumble across occasional questions devised by people other than Weapon. Unlike bonus questions these are included in the 'total questions' count.

You can neomail me to submit a question, but please play the quiz a little first and think about how it all works. Currently I am limiting guests to two questions maximum, so you may want to make them good ones. [;D]

Question the 1st:

Where would you find Neopia's one and only Motery?

Format: in[answer]

+--- How To Answer

Now, in your address bar you should currently have:

http://www.neopets.com/~haffleh#begin

To give your answer you'll need to replace 'begin' with whatever your answer is. Say you decided the Motery's home was in Altador (which it isn't) then you would change it to:

http://www.neopets.com/~haffleh#inaltador

And then press go (or enter/return). If your answer is correct you will jump to the next question. If it isn't correct you won't be going anywhere.

Oh! One last thing. Please avoid using capitals. It has to be all in lowercase or else even a correct answer won't jump you forwards.

Kelly: Ahaha. Well, I can tell you where it's not. Weapon went all the way to Faerieland one time when she needed a mote, thinking it was there.
