 Rishi's Guide to Getting Your Dream Pet UPDATE (6th May 2007): I have kept the old artwork where possible, but with new colours coming out, I can only use the new style artwork for those. Depending on what happens in time, I may change over all artwork to the new style if TNT don't give us an option on all our pets. If you wish to see the new colours/species for all Neopets (including LEs), visit Jauzlin or Shieboo. As not all owners decided to convert their Neopets to the new artwork, and some did, it would be impractical for me to show every possible image! Hi guest, my name's Rishi (Haerishi) and I'm here to talk to you about dream pets. It's come to mine and lassietheevilones attention that there's a lot of boards on the HC (Help Chat) asking about how to make Draiks, Krawks, Poogles and the best limited edition pets of all, us Cybunnies! *cough* Landa asked me to write this guide as I'm the most intelligent pet in the family (come on, my intelligence is 312!) so I'd be the best candidate to write this guide. I can't have that pesky Lupe outdoing me!
Anyway, we've decided to sit down and tell you exactly how to do it. This is especially useful as TNT decided to put limitations on what pets you can and can't adopt from the pound if your account is under 4 months old. For more information on adopting, please visit my sister's page here. Remember: there is no age restrictions on creating a pet, just adopting from the pound! So whether you're too young to adopt, or just want to make your pet yourself, here's the lowdown on Limited Edition and Restricted pets!
These guys are restricted pets. They're different to Limited Edition as they're not available as easily as Limited Edition pets and TNT monitors the amount available very thoroughly. They require a lot of saving, but most owners will tell you they're more than worth it! Of course, not all these options are available for each species. So let's go through it step by step! Chomby  Chomby Day: 22nd Day of Running (22nd March)
Chombies are gentle giants and the only Neopet species so far to look like a proper dinosaur, hence the popularity. Personally, I think Biscuit Chombies are by far the most handsome, but then, I brush my ears 12 times a day to make them silky smooth! Chombies are available in the following colours:

Please note that Draiks are NOT createable on Draik Day! The only thing you get (on top of spiffy free training for Draiks) is a greater chance of buying a Draik Egg as more are stocked on Draik Day. Grundos... You so often see them in the pound, discriminated against because they're a bit slower on the uptake than the rest of us pets. But that doesn't mean that they're not adorable in their own way. Just have a little gander here. Plus you can create them in brown, white and purple right from the very beginning! So, if you wish to give a misunderstood Neopet a home, here's the colours they're likely to be in:

Hissies are a very underrated species in Neopia. Faerie and Maraquan Hissies are gorgeous, while the Mutant and Darigan versions are downright bone chilling. I keep my eye out for Desert Hissies; I heard all about what happened to Cleopatra! So, if you wish to give a misunderstood Neopet a home, here's the colours they're likely to be in:

Jetsams are fairly popular pets, even if it's because of the fact that they can give a few avvies. Sadly this also means that they're quite often abandoned in the pound; aww! Let's hear it for the fishies with a bite! If you want to cherish a Jetsam, remember they're quite varied in appearence:

Krawk Day means you get free training for your Krawk, NOT that more will be released. TNT have already said that they're not going to release more Krawks, so the only way is through potions, plushies or feeding a Krawk petpet. I've yet to see a Krawk lab zap from the main lab ray (although it is apparently possible), and feeding a zapped Krawk petpet at the Fungus Caves won't work. On the second Lutari Day in 2007, no Lutaris were released, thought to be a result of them being classified as Restricted (they were once Limited Edition). In 2006, Lutari Island was launched on Lutari Day, as well as Lutaris being released to create. Now they can only be created if you have subscribed to Lutari Island on your mobile phone. However, they are zappable, although will disappear if you try to pound them so be warned! TNT's logic behind that could be to try and cut down on the amount of new pets that are created and pounded after a week and could apply this logic to any new pet released ... Who knows? Lutaris are currently available in the four basic colours in addition to the ones below, although there is a Lutari Paint Brush... They're also seen in the following: 
 
No Morphing Potions/Transmog Potions/Magical Plushies..... Yet. Poogle Poogle Parade (Poogle Day): 19th Day of Gathering (19th September) 
Cute, aren't they? Many people like to zap them for their MSP colouring which is ebil but sweet! As MSP isn't available from faerie quests, Poogles are always sought after for zapping so buying items to get one is very expensive. My personal favourite are the Royal Poogles

The most common of the LE pets, the Tonu is highly underrated. More often than not passed around from owner to owner so people can have the "glory" of making a 'POUNDING LE PET!' board. Sad, but true. But, if you're serious about owning one of these sweeties, here's what you can paint them!
