Welcome friends. Please call me Juniper, it is my favorite nickname and the name I have used on the interwebs for over a decade. Other than playing Neopets, I love reading science fiction and fantasy books. Some of my favorite authors are Piers Anthony, Patricia A. McKillip and David Eddings. Some of my other hobbies include sketching faces. I love to capture the light in the eyes. I don't use colors, just a plain old 2B pencil. Maybe I'll add color someday along with finally learning proper figure drawing. I also love to write little snippets/scenes (in no particular order) that take place in a world I created many years ago. I'm not sure what else to say for these About Me pages. My personal info doesn't really belong here, but I will leave you with a quote:

That may be the best advice I ever read. It's something I am still trying to follow each day of my life. I've found that sometimes all you need to do is have the guts to follow your heart and take that leap of faith. And by golly that takes courage! Anywho... with that said, I'll skip right on to my Neopian self.
Juniper's role in Neopia
I consider myself a retired Neopian. I used to restock quite a lot a long time ago, when cable internet was new and I had such a "fast" computer compared to the rest of the world. I would stay up until 3 a.m. and stare at my monitor waiting for some illusive item to pop up on the screen. Oh how exciting it was when one appeared! Now I'm a little older and have a career to pursue. I find I haven't the time to spend (even if I had the money to buy a new PC to compete with). So those days are gone for me, and not really practical anymore. I will admit, I'm a bit bored with Neopets right now, the thrill is gone for me... so WHY are you still here then, you may ask. Well, I spend most of my time taking care of my guild, EKoN, and lurking the Charter premium board. I also love my pets that I have created over the years. The little stories I have for them in my head are precious to me and so I remain a part of Neopia still. I spend a good deal of my energy and time here updating my pet's lookups and adding to their descriptions... and revamping my About Me page it seems. :P

Frequently Asked Questions
Possibly the most frequently asked question I have received through neomail is: where on earth did you get your username from? Well, let me tell you!
It all comes from a wonderful collection of fairy and folk tales, poems and nursery rhymes, compiled into a book series called My Book House, by Olive Beaupré Miller. The editions I have, I believe are from the 1930s, although there are many, many different publications. They are wonderful to read to a child, or for a child to read to themselves. They gave me my first exposure to Dante's Divine Comedy, and the tale of the Red Cross Knight, by Spenser... But to get to my username (can you tell I like tangents?) in book 4, Through the Gate there is a story called Nutcracker and Sugar Dolly, about two toys who go off on an adventure into a magical world. In that world they meet a fairy queen, and her name is Honeymouth. Thus my username came to be. I've had this same main account ever since and am glad I chose it, even if it is really long, and a little odd.

Can we be neofriends?
Please know before requesting that I have a very small neofriends list. My neofriends consist of current or past members of my guild (EKoN), Charter premium players (only because I see and chat with them on a regular basis on the boards) and other Neopians I have become well acquainted with over the years. If you don't fit one of those criteria, please hold off on a neofriend request. That doesn't mean I wouldn't love to hear from you and if we get along well then we might become neofriends some day, but if I don't get to know you first, I won't accept the request.
Do you have (insert paint brush clothes) still available, and can I have them?
No, I do not have any left. I am always amazed how many requests I get in my inbox on a weekly basis for this. I ran out of extra clothes over two years ago, but that petpage I am still listed on has either never been updated with the correct information or those neomailing me are mis-reading it. I have no clothes left, so PLEASE don't ask.
Can I borrow (insert pet name) for the avatar?
Sorry, but no. It has nothing to do with whether I trust you or not, I just do not lend my pets to ANYONE. There are too many horrible things that can happen, through no fault of your own (i.e. your account is frozen by TNT for your own protection, a random event accidentally changes the color of the pet you borrowed, something happens in your RL and you can't get on Neopets anymore, etc.) I know that may sound paranoid, but I'm very attached to my pets, each and every one.
Can I borrow some neopoints, or could you gift me some rare items?
How presumptuous! As well established as my account may look, I'm actually a very financially poor Neopian, as hard as that may be to believe. I never have more than a million nps in the bank at any given time. I have very few rare items. Most of the pretty items I have that used to be rare, are no longer worth anything. Yes, I used to know how to make nps, but that was back when a 10k profit was a big deal and honestly I don't make nps anymore. I've been living off my stocks for the last few years, just to get by and keep my pets happy and in training. I seldom have anything left over for even small "shopping sprees." So... no.

April 20th, 2012 - Dailies and MoreI added links to dailies and other seasonal links and other quests to the left hand side. It was kind of short and so narrow that seemed like the perfect thing to place there. Makes the layout look more balanced and is super helpful to me.
Feb. 4th, 2012 - Added Favorite spotsI added my favorite spots today and am deciding what modules to put on the right hand side. A link to my guild and description should definitely be in one of the right modules, deciding whether to add a picture to all or just some of them.
Jan. 20, 2012 - Trying a little something new!I decided to revamp some of my petpages and am combining a few into one place. Hope you like the changes and find this page an easily browse-able experience, when it's finally complete.

I found the Enchanted Kingdom of Neopia very much by chance, and now I can't possibly imagine Neopets without them.
