You wander out on a peaceful beach as seagulls cry out above you. You sigh as you walk, enjoying the view, spotting the sun setting above the ocean. You gasp as you suddenly realize that you were told to be back by dark. You quicken your pace as your bare feet run along the sand, looking for your abandoned shoes. Then, you trip over a large log shaped object. You plummet into the sand face first. You get up sputtering.
What in the world was that?
You ask. Getting up you brush yourself off, looking for the source of your tripping. Standing not far away is huge annoyed red lupe with four black bands around each foreleg and tail. Upon his back were two small angelic wings with blue-tipped feathers. His white hot flaming eyes seemed to be glaring at you, its teeth bared.
Ei baka! Stai nohei ei kaep ea kae tassle!
He snaps at you angerly. You pause, tilting your head a bit.
Ummm....what did you say? I can't understand you..
You say back, backing up some as the lupe approched. The lupe snorted, flicking his tassle and shaking his head.
Kae sepa suni dei i human te kep kae kay.
He said to himself before looking back at you. Then he snorted, looking you over. You start to sweat a bit, unsure of this strange talking lupe.
Do...do you have a name?
You stutter back, hopeing he will reply. He looks at you, snorting some.
Kae pa Bruno...
He then cleared his throut.
Sorry...I am Bruno.
He said to you, speaking with a thick fake english accent, as if he wasn't used to speaking it.
You look at him, smileing.
Well, I am guest. Nice to meet you...
You pause for a second.
Hey, do you know what i tripped on before?".
He snorted.
It was my tail..
He said, snorting fiercly.
You blush and then wave your hand about.
Oh my! I am soo sorry! I didn't mean to. I was just in a hurry.
You get up, bowing some as you notice Bruno came about to your shoulder.Bruno sighed and started to walk toward the ocean.
They never do...
He said, snorting. You look to him with sympathy, forgetting about going home. You smile and follow him.
I'm sorry to bother you...but could you tell me more about yourself?
You ask politely.
Bruno looked at you and snorted.
Why would you want to know about a weakling like me?
He said, sitting down, curling his tail to his haunches. He sighed as he looked over to you.
You smile and sit down beside him in the sand, reaching your arms over your legs.
Just a friendly question.
You say, smileing.
Bruno sighs and looks over to you.
I suppose I could..if you really want to know so badly..
He snorted and took in a deep breath, letting a cough escape.

My Lonely Life

My story begins long ago when i was but a pup. You see, i am a water guardian, born to defend the royal family of the see. The black bands around me signify that.
He paused, lifting his foreleg as if letting you examine it.
My mother was a beautiful lupess who knew my fate from the very start. Her name was Oceana. She was loving, and kind....and she could control water. Though i was not endued with her powers, i can still breath water: that is eccenital to a Guardian.
Soon after I was born, my mother took me to a speical place she called Atlantica. It was so beautiful there...meremaids and mereman were abundant. There, she sent me to meet with the king of the sea, Trident. He was a stern, funny looking man who welded a large..Trident. He was very scary to me, as i lept to my mother's side. But..she turned away from me. I tried to nuzzle her, wanting her to protect me..but she looked away, a tear coming to her eye. I will never forget the words she said to me that fateful day so long ago..
My son...you are dead to me now..
I..I never saw her again..as was the duty of a Guardian. You must get away from your family, only obey the King.
So, thus i began my training to become a Guardian. They trained me day and night, vigrous as it was, they kept adding more. I struggled greatly against it, the thought of my mother still in my head. Still, the trainers pushed me harder, giving me little time to even think or dream. After 3 long years, i was deemed worth of a Guardian and earned my wings..
He looked back at them, flapping them a bit. They were not meant to fly, they were to help with swimming. To tiny to be of use in the air.
I was the finest on the force at that time. No guardians had been born to the family since the past king of long ago. Still I emproved my skills ever greater, wanting to be accepted by the king as a worthy and loyal guardain. Soon, I was assigned the greatest honor that a Guardian could have, being appointed by the king to guard his two daughters: Shina and Kagea. They were wonderful girls that looked up to me. They saw me as their pet..not their body guard. I would spend time with them every day, keeping them safe, exploring with them..and often...making up for their mistakes.

He sighed loudly, looking to the sand as he played with it in his paws.
As time went by, news came to the kingdom of a great threat. It was a sea witch named Segaki. She was a very powerful and evil being that was bent on ruleing the sea. The king feared that she would be after his daughters and so i was on advanced guard. But...many months passed and there had been hid nor hair of Segaki.
Then...one day, a great beast came upon Atlantica. His name was Motiku.
He growled loudly, his eyes had a strange unearthly glow to them. He snorted, his tail flicking.
In my language, Tiaku means demon...and that he was. He was created by Segaki to destroy us...or so we thought. I had to leave Shina and Kagea to help fight Motiku.

He was strong and held speical powers that could destory a tower with a singal swipe of his tail. As i charged at him continuously, never losing hope, i heard a strange sound. From the corner of my eye, i spied Shina and Kagea being lifted away by a large cage. They cried for me, banging on the iron and steel, trying to get free. I started toward them, but forgot about Motiku. He rhamed me, sending his many spikes into me. I yelped out in pain as i saw my blood float in the water. I started to black out, trying to regain conicousness. The never endeding thought of protect the family beat in my head. But..i couldn't. Before i fainted i could hear Motiku's awaful laughs within me. They still ring out to this day...

He paused, a slight tear came from his eyes as he thought of his failing memory.
When i regained conicousness i woke with a start to see Atlantica mostly destroyed. As i wandered about, I saw the King, breathing heavily, wounds covered his body. I went over to him, whimpering and licking his wounds, but he drove me away. He started at me with cold eyes and told me that his daughters had been taken. I was shocked and thrashed about..knowing it was all my fault. If only i hadn't fallen for Motiku's trap..I could have...
The king was inraged with me. He scorned me and stripped me of my title as Guardian. He banished me to this island, where i shall stay forever more...always regreating my weakness and shame...

He looked away, as the large full moon rose above the sea. Looking at him sadly as tears came to your eyes you pat him on the head.
I'm....I'm so sorry...
You say as the wind blew against your feet, making you curl inward for warmth. Bruno looked to you, his eyes seemed sad and tired. He snorted some.
You are the first one to show sympathy to me in so long...Thank you.
He sighed, getting closer to you to keep you warm. He snorted.

You ask as you look at him. He nodded quietly and sighed.

This is Mizu. She is an odd lupe who has her own island like mine. She was banished such as I..we share the same fate..the same element..and yet..She is just too..happy for my taste. Still..i shall call her a friend.

This..This is Ria. She is a wonderful fea that actually grew up in a simmilar situation to me..being saved by meremaids. She speaks my language and is a very kind and loving fea. She already has a pup, and a scared past..but I can look over such things. For I too have one such as this..

yet..it seems that in my journeys away from my island((I was forced)), that I have found..someone..who is special to me. I might not consider it suki...but

From the sea you spot a small shape heading toward you. It was red and had black bands that looked like stripes running down it. It made a "squkwee'sound as it approched the shore. It siggled around in a worm like fashion as you stare at it.
Is that a Tanziard?

You ask as you poke at it. It makes an angery noise and curls around Bruno's leg.
He looked down at it.
Ah yes..this is my trusted helper Mere-dyth. Her name means sea guardian. She was assigned as my helper when I was still a Guardian. She never left my side...even when i was exiled to his place..never to return to Atlantica again..
Mere-dyth looked sadly at Bruno and licked his cheek, purring. You look on sadly again.

Seal of the Royal Family

This is the seal of the Royal family that rules the sea. All are born with it if they have true blood and signifies their power. The three prongs not only represent the Trident that the King uses, they each have a different meaning. The one on the right means Honor, the one on the left means Strength..and the one in the middle....means loyalty...

Chapter 2
He looked at you, flicking his tail.
There is....more to the story..
He said, almost wishing he hadn't.
Oh? There is? Can I hear it!
You say with some exictment in your voice. Bruno nodded and inhaled once more, Mere-dyth looked up to him, giving a reassuring purr.
After I was banished I took it upon myself to look for the girls on my own. I tried to stay far from Atlantica, knowning my presence there would not be welcomed. Soon I followed the scent to the sea witches cave. I spotted Motiku sleeping right infront of the interance. I tried not to growl and snorted softly, scenting the girl's presence. Luckly Motiku wasn't very smart, the witch told him what to do, for he was her creation. So, by throwing a rock to the left, Motiku heard it and followed after, leaving time for me to get past him. When i got in the cave, it wasn't at all what i expected. It was made of some type of metal and steel, enchanted to work underwater. I kept a wary eye out for the girls and soon spotted a processing line that lead to the sea witches chamber. Then, my auds perked up to the faint crying of a trapped creature. I hurried near the source, where I found the two, looking tired and hungery. I came to them, my heart was over-joyed that they were alive. They both looked so happy to see me as well....
He looked away some, pausing in his story. He then shoke his head, continuing.
I tried to free them by ramming the cage, trying not to make to loud a sound. Finally I had broken the latch, but from behind one of the witches guards had heard the racket and pushed me in the cell as well. I growled, faceing, again, the unwelcoming face of Motiku. He snarled at me, his spiked tail was slashing about in rage.
Ei Baka! May pa te wi Segaki's kaonie!
How dare you try to use the King's daughters for Segaki's own selfish purposes!" I called back, rhamming the cage once more to free us. Motiku just laughed and his red eyes began to glow. I finally got the cage open and turned around.
Sumatie!
I told them. But they said they would stay. That is when Motiku roared out, clasping his tail around Shina and Kagea. I growled and firecly bit into Motiku, my eyes were enraged. He called out in pain and let go of the girls. He then started to charge me, knocking me away with his horns. I shoke myself, ignoring the agony and bit into him again. From behind me came a red light, that surrounded me. I tried to move, but nothing would work. I snorted, turning my eyes to see the Segaki. She smiled at me, a large staff in her hand. Her red eyes looked into mine, making it seem as if she held my breath, my life, in them. She snapped her fingers, and a sudden pain came to my chest. I couldn't breath. I struggled more, but still was inglufed in the red glow. I snorted, trying to inhale. I knew for sure i would die. I looked around, spying Shina's necklace. I yelped, trying to tell them to leave, but couldn't get it out. Then, it started to go black. The last thing i saw was Segaki's face. Her lips pursed to a grin.
Taykea, stiamatie baka.
My eyes popped open as I lay on this beach. I tried to get up, but i couldn't quite catch my breath. Air was new to me. I sputtered and layed back down, letting the waves crash gently against me. Then i relized what had happened before. I just let go..I knew that I could never defeat her. I let out a slight sob and vowed to never leave this island. And so I stay. Under the King's law.....and my own.
You look at him, tears revisiting your face. You sniffle, wiping it from your eyes, trying not to seem weak. Then you stop, realizing how he must have felt. You look to Mere-dyth, who was wrapped around his leg still, looking toward the Ocean. You follow her gaze and out at see the moon catches your eye. The light of it shone upon you, making you feel a little better. You sigh and look back to Bruno, who was staring at you. You blush a little.
Sorry about that...I just..
Bruno snorted, shaking his head. He flicked his tail reassuringly and sighed.
Nema-sogo...
He said, the words sounded so loving and free. You searched your mind, concluding that it meant Peace. You then smiled and sighed, another question coming to your head.
Language and Origin

You look at him, remebering how he talked when you first met.
Sorry to bother you about this, but what were you speaking before when I first saw you?
You ask, your bright eyes filled with curiosity.
Well, it is the langauge of my people, the people of the sea. It is long forgotten lanugage by you humans that we have adapted and made our own. I am still pretty new to the way you humans speak, so forgive me for yelling at you earlier.
He snorted and looked away.
Oh don't worry about it. It was my fault for stepping on your tail..
You say, waving a hand, blushing a little. Then, as Bruno turned back to you, you looked into his flaming eyes.
One more question. How can you see with flaming eyes?
Bruno pauses, as if contemplating the question. Then he sighs and flicks his tail.
My eyes are not really flaming. It is my Auma.
Auma? What is that?
It means 'Fire'in my peoples' language. But it is not real fire, it is the fire that lies within us all and gives us strength. It is like our soul. Mine is personified into my eyes, another trait of a Guardian. So, my strength is shown by my flaming eyes. I can still see clearly, it is more or less like a slight vail over my eyes.
Oh...
You say, still a little confused. Bruno smiled slightly and flapped his small wings.
Do not worry human. You will understand one day.

You sigh as you look away from him toward the moon. Then, a thought pops up in your head.
Oh no! I forgot about going home!
You clammer around, looking for your shoes in the sand. Bruno watched you with curosity and then smiled. Mere-dyth came from behind him, your shoes in her mouth. You smile and take them from her thankfully.
Thank you. Thank you. I am sorry that i must leave so soon..but my family is waiting.
He looks at you and nodds.
Yes..please go to your family. Enjoy them while you can...
He looked away to the moon, sighing. You look at him sadly and then smile, while slipping your shoes back on.

You ask kindly. Bruno looks over to you, a slight smile on his face.
Taykea.
He said, his auds flicking about as he got up. You smile and bow to him, turning around to leave.

You call back, looking to the brute's still sad eyes as you left out of site.
