My owner plans t redo the page and the adoptables, but we'll all have to be patient and wait for my owner to return.

On your way to Neopia Central, you suddenly take a wrong turn and find yourself in a dark area densely tangled with branches from large trees. Your skin tingles as tiny water droplets from the mist in the air sprinkle down. Everywhere around is full of trees. Nowhere are there any stars or even the moon; the thick canopy from the trees block out any moonlight trying to shine though. A cool breeze ruffles the trees and chills your body.

Panic creeps in as you grip yourself with fear. You are lost. The path you came from is no longer there. It seems to have disappeared like magic. Not a sound can be heard, except the whispering of trees, the rhythm of your breathing, and the flutter of your heart beat. You have no idea of what time it is. The darkness seems to indicate it is extremely late at night, yet it was day before you found yourself where you are. Time appears to have stopped and every step you take feels like hours have passed. There is something peculiar about this forest you cannot deny. There is something mystical about it. You wonder if the forest is full of magic.

"Where am I?" you cry out.

Suddenly some bushes stir in a distance and something blindingly bright and glowing flies towards you.

"Eeeeeek!" you scream in terror as you try to flee. But the creature will not stop. It lands and sprints in front of you, blocking your path. You try to turn and run the other way, but thickly tangled thorny branches prevent you from going further. You are trapped. The creature in front of you appears to be a huge lupe with gigantic demon-like wings. The only lupes with those wings are darigan lupes which happen to be the strongest of the lupe species always evil in nature. You prepare yourself for the worst. It's bound to eat you or make you into a slave.

Suddenly it opens its mouth and speaks, "Relax. I am not going to hurt you. I know you think I'm darigan because I have these wings, but I'm not like them." The lupe pauses and then adds, "Besides I need you." He steps closer. You notice he has a lot of hair-like ruff on his head and a thick beard on his chin.

"Then how did you get your wings if you're not darigan and why do you need me?" you ask.

"It's a long story," the lupe sighs, "Do you really want to know?"

You nod your head.

"Well," speaks the lupe, "I was just an average lupe that lived in the city, minding my own business," he pauses awkwardly, "If you would consider digging into trash cans and making a ruckus as minding my own business. Well actually, I didn't mind my own business, though maybe I should have. It was too fun going around at night and seeing what trouble I could get into, and what food I could steal." The lupe grins. "Those where the good old days. " He licks his chops. "Until one day I happened to have a mouthful of fresh meat I just stolen from the food mart. I was about to head my way home to my street, when I suddenly heard a crying sound in a busy intersection. Curious, I turned and noticed a poor little faerie had fallen on the street and had broken a wing and a leg from the fall. She could not escape, and a car was approaching quickly. I set down the meat that was in my mouth and barked as loud as I could. The driver was not going to stop no matter what. I had to make a decision. I could have left the faerie there to be hit, but my instincts took over and I rushed over to shove the faerie aside. As I shoved the faerie away from the street, I felt a crushing pain as the tires ran over my body and cracked my bones.

Everything turned black and silent. I was dead. But only for a moment. I woke up thinking it was all a nightmare and was about to do my business. As became more awake I noticed I was not where I thought I was. There were no buildings or streets. Everything was blindingly white and sparkling prismatic colors. There were gigantic crystals, and they sparked everywhere. Even my own fur glistened like tiny transparent crystals. My back felt heavy as if something was pressing me. I had a large pair of clear feathery wings. Then I noticed there were other beings and they gleamed like crystal. The beings were large lupes with angel wings. One of the angel lupes approached me. 'Am I dead?' I asked her. 'Nope.' She answered, "Because you saved that faerie, you have been blessed." 'Huh?' I muttered as I looked into her glowing blue eyes. 'You have a mission,' she said and pointed, "look down right below you.' I looked down as the angel lupe instructed, and saw a massive forest. 'That is Mystical Forest. It is in danger.' 'Danger? I laughed, 'How could that forest be in danger? It is so huge.' The angel lupe sighed, and stated solemnly, 'Every year the land developers push further into the forest clear cutting the trees and tearing the land to make way for neo homes and shops. It's only a matter of time before they destroy what is left and the magic disappears completely. It is your mission to stop any further damage.' 'How?' I asked, 'Is that even possible?' 'You are part of the forest now,' she spoke, 'You must not leave the forest ever, even for a second. The second you do will be the second they will destroy everything. In addition, you cannot save the forest yourself. You will have to find a human to help you. That human will be able to stand up to the land developers and speak to them, which is something you cannot do. That human you find will be the chosen one. They must stay in the forest along with you and never leave. You will know when you have found the chosen one because the chosen one will be the only human that can hear your voice.' The angel lupe flapped her wings and shoved me down the hole in front of me. 'Now you must go. Your forest needs you."

That's just great I thought. How am I to stay in the forest, and yet be able to find a human?

As I fell towards the forest canopy, something swooped down and grabbed me. It was a dark faerie. Cackling it chanted something strange and filled the air with smoke. 'You are mine!' she sneered, 'With this curse you will follow me and be my slave. You will destroy everything you touch. Anyone who sees you will die. Your heart will turn to stone.' Before I could flinch, she zapped me with a jolt of electricity. My body went numb, her voice echoed. 'That's strange,' she said out of shock, "why won't your fur change dark purple like the others?' The dark faerie tried a few more spells, but none of them worked. She was only able to change the shape of my wings.

I fell asleep and stayed that way for three weeks. Afterwards I woke up to find myself surrounded by logs and tree stumps. 'Oh no,' I muttered, 'The curse.' I sobbed as I thought I was doomed to destroy everything like the dark faerie said. As I cried, my tears hit the ground, and things started to sprout. The curse had not worked. I wondered why, but then a voice whispered from the sky, 'Your heart is pure and because your heart is pure, you could not be corrupted by the dark faerie.'

How could that be? I wondered. My heart certainly was not pure in the least. I was a thief and a trouble make just before this all happened.

The voice spoke again. 'Your heart may not be pure now, but your heart will be in time.' Oh well, they must be crazy up there to think I am or will be a pure hearted being, I thought.

As I wandered into what was left of the forest I wondered how I was going to find a human.

That is just great I thought. Not only am I stuck in this forest, but also I have to find a human, and not only do I dislike them to begin with, but I also have to speak with them and not scare them away. How am I to find the chosen one anyway? I mean like-"

The lupe suddenly stops in mid sentence. His dark bluish eyes glow and his mouth stretches into a smile as he looks at you. "Wait a second!" he shouts excitedly, "Did you hear me?" he asks. "Yes" you say, "every word of it." "That is perfect!, "he exclaims with a smile still on his face, "You must be the chosen one. Are you willing to help me save this forest?"

Blessed by a faerie. Cursed by a dark Faerie. I am forced to protect this forest you see here.

Stats, blah, they really aren't much. I was just an average guy, not a fierce fighter.
My name: Guard_of_the_night
Though that is what other people have labeled me. I rather people called me by my ordinary name, before this all happened.
My real name:
Jerry

mystical_butterfly
She is the force of the forest.
Age (in hours): 32344
I really don't care what that means. I am a young adult as far as I care. Whether I am a mortal or immortal I don't know. I fear if I was to leave the forest, I could easily die. Level: 2
?! *Shrugs*
Strength 8
Move 8
Defense 13
Hitpoints 11
intellegence 12
...
Breed:
Part saluki, part German Shephard, part husky, ibizan hound, bearded collie, and some other stray dogs, and lastly, part Coyote. Whatever else made me I don't know. My ancistory came from a dog collector who used to collect all kinds of dog breeds and cats. She was found out, but not before she had fallen ill and died. Most of the dogs were collected, but they never found my mom. She wandered off, and lived on the streets, found a coyote, had me, then was shot soon after I was born and done nursing. I've lived my life alone and off my crafty wits.
Can I say mutt!?
appearance: shaggy mane of fur around head and neck. Long hair on head and beard. Big pointed ears. Slinder sighthound-like body under lots of thick shaggy fur. Varying fur thickness on body. short hair on top and heavy long fur towards the bottom. Tail is thick and bushy.
Color:
Any color. Each strand of hair is like a faceted quartz cristal. It sparkles in the light, and shimmers. At night I look dark blue or deep purple. In the the daylit forest I can be green like the leaves dappled brown like the earth and sparkling golden with the sunlight. In the autumn my fur reflects the firey glow of the trees. In winter my fur is pure white and sparkles like freshly fallen snow.
If I am depressed, my fur becomes dull gray or white and loses its luster. White is the combination of all colors.
Powers:
I have a few, ever since the incident. I can heal, make things grow, or destroy. The power to destroy overwhelms me sometimes, but I've so far managed to keep it under control.

Adopts of me and other cool things (aka toybox):

Think you can impress my owner? Here are some cool custom makeables you can alter to look like your lupe. Rules are they can only be used on your pet page and look-up. They are not to be entered in any contest or put outside the relm of neopets. You also have to use your own image host. No hotlinking. Make sure to link back.

Now onto the fun part. My owner is interested in seeing what you can do. Neomail Butterflyhornet with your pict and she may put it up here. But you still have to provide your own host. If she likes it and decides to put it here, she will type your pet's name, but will not link back to your page. If it shows up with photobucket's infamious bandwidth notice or shows up as a broken image, then it will be taken down. :P
And please feel free to fix the paws. I stink at drawing those. :P

Complex shading templates.(you may have to change to RGB coloring in photoshop or to 16 million colors in psp. You may also have to erase a gray background. I have no clue why psp 8 does that.)

Simple BMP templates (for ms paint editing and adding your own shading)

Examples:

Guard_of_the_night

And some lupe adopts for you:

- custom trades are will be open again once Butterflyhornet returns. The poor creature has flown away and left neopets for quite a while. Her computer breaking on her has not helped bring her back. :(
- don't be surprized if the adoptables and this whole layout end up looking much different when she returns.
