Happy Halloween! Welcome to the Halloween Edition of the Building Blocks Gazette! This month we have a lot of exciting things planned that will be October themed! All Cafe items for the month will be spooky related and everything is going to be decorated for the events! On Halloween day we will be going trick-or-treating and Halloween Night we will have a late night chat session on the guild board for those who need to stay up to get the Halloween site theme. Do not forget to pick up a Halloween layout for your lookup. We have many to choose from here! Enjoy yourselves and check the updates for all the excitment!

Reach Your Goal! Building Blocks is a guild for people who collect stamps or avatars. It's a guild for people who care for kads. It's a guild for gamers who love playing games. It's about reaching your goal. Are you tring to reach a certain amount of stamps, trophies, avatars, or kads fed? Have you ever wanted the kad avatar, the avatar collector avatar, or the rarest stamp out there? Have you ever wanted to reach 50 trophies? Learn from your mistakes, and continue to progress through your race to succeed your goal. When you finish your first goal, think of a higher goal to attempt succeeding in. Someday, you will succeed in your goal!

 | Lately, I have been extremely proud of our little guild. We have loads of new members and everyone is starting to participate in all the activities we have to offer. Nobody has been complaining and the drama has left the boards. It is nice to know that when you go to the message board, you will always have someone to talk to, there is help to gain when you have a question, and lots of free treats are being passed out like crazy! I am so happy that everyone has decided to get into the spirit of the guild and join in on the fun we have. It also makes me giddy to have lots of things to do in the activities section and lots of members willing to help out with all the work it takes to make this guild run smoothly. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the council members for their hard work. And a special thank you goes out to the members who are not on council and who do a lot for the guild! (sirin and jonathan) I would like to welcome all new members and thank them for joining! We are so glad that you have decided to join us! Also, a BIG welcome to the members of the arboretum, who decided to move their entire guild over to ours! (audra, ras, misty, tora, danni, emma, anne, and all the rest!) Welcome Everyone!  | It is now the month of Collecting in Neopia. There is on day; October 16th you may not want to miss out on and that is Jetsam Day! If you want an avvie pet, or just need to get the avvie then this is a day you don't want to miss out on! I myself already have an awesome jetsam . They should be releasing them throughout the day just like they did on poogle day. Which means you can go to the area where you can make and name your own pet! Make sure you have a name ready that is not already being used, these pets go fast! I suggest you go to the area where you can make pets and type in a few names you like and see if they are being used yet, you don't have to make a pet right now just see if you can come up with some good names. The you will be ready for Oct 16th to make a jetsam..or two...or three..or..well you get the point! Good luck getting your jetsam and the avvie! There are two avvies, one in the battledome and one for feeding it....oh ya for you squimish ones, do rememeber you need to feed the jetsam an aquatic petpet to get the avvie! ~Toads |
 | With all of the activities and such offered in our ever-growing, ever-changing guild, you may ask yourself , "How do I begin and how am I possible going to complete it all?!" Fear not! Allow me to help you by offering a few suggestions! First of all, we are now at the beginning of the month, so now is the perfect time to sign up for all of the spotlights! Spotlights are located by clicking the spotlight button found on the front page of the webbie! Once you are on the spotlight page neomail those council members in charge of each spotlight (there are 6 of them). Simply tell them you would like to join for the month! Read through the rules on the page and if you have any questions feel free to neomail any council member. They will be happy to assist you! That will take care of the spotlights and you can complete that in 1 day (it only takes a few minutes) . After that you have the entire month to work on the spotlights you have entered. Second, Buy a library card and get your books right away! You can do this by clicking on the Library button on the webbie. At the very top of the page is princess toads link to her user lookup. Once there in her shop you can purchase a Neopian Times. This is your library card. Then you may go back to the library and pick 3 (count them!) 3 free library books a month! What a deal!! Thirdly, Make sure you have neomailed me and toads about the Pass the Poogle and Survivor Games. These are a once a month deal as well and usually begin within the first week of the month. After that, choose a day of the week when you can be on for some time and complete the weekly activities and game challenges! These can be done a few at a time once a day, or you can spread them out over the week. Activities are located on the Activities page which you can get to from the webbie. Game challenges are on the webbie itself. You must scroll down and read as to what games are being played that week. Simply play the games and send gamer_boy997 your scores. Trophies are awarded on a weekly basis! Finally, Check once a week or so our donation shop. The guild survives off of it. If possible donate! There is a variety of amounts you can choose from and remember, it helps the guild as a whole and you will benefit from it! And that's it! It can be done and you can be a wonderfully active member by just spending a little bit of time and effort! When you come to think of it, isn't that why you joined a guild? To have activities to do with trusted friends!! Remember! Organization is a key and if you follow the simple steps I have just given, you will be most happy and successful on Building Blocks! ~SandyS |
 | I know a lot of people on Neopets go to school as well. It's hard to make time for both, I know. The main thing is school is slightly more important than Neopets. But just slightly. Here are some tips to balancing both: 1. Try to go on Neopets after you finish your homework. That way you aren't worrying about what you have to do. 2. Take breaks and play some games at Neopets. You don't want to get overwhelmed with school, but make sure you only stay on for 20-30 mins or you'll never get off! :D 3. Make sure you tell your guild that you have school and be on less. It's the polite thing to do. 4. If you ever get stuck on something, come to Neopets. Maybe something you see will un-stick you. Or even ask Guild members for help. You never know what they might say! 5. Don't worry about your pets. They won't die if you don't feed them for a couple of days. Just remember to give them extra attention when you have free time!  | Well, since starting college I have had no time to spend on neopets...hince, no time to write a blog. I should check out Nicole's blog directly above me and see if that will help!
