After much wandering, you find yourself amidst a mountain path. The sides of the path tower over you like large walls, leaving you know way to go, but forward. As you continue on you find a small clearing, which breaks off into three paths. Two in front of you, and one breaking off to the right. The path on the left was rather large, and wide, and for some reason a bit more welcoming, so you decide to go down that one.
The more you wander, the lower the walls on the side became, and you notice that the mountain path became a sandy road with small sandy hills ahead. Farther ahead was a desert, with what seemed like ruins far ahead, but before you could admire the sights, you see a creature running ahead, right towards you! You turn to run, but the creature skid to a stop right in front of you.
The shock from the sudden appearance of the seemingly dangerous creature had left you speechless as you clutch your chest over your fluttering heart in an attempt to calm it down. The creature, which you now saw was a lupe, did nothing but stare into your eyes with his dull, hazy eyes, and you couldn't help but do the same.
I won't hurt you. He said, releasing his gaze from your eyes.
There's nothing for you over that way, except for skeletons, bricks, and sand. Unless you want to become a skeleton, I suggest you do the same.
He began to walk down the path you had come from, slowly and without purpose. You followed close behind, and as he entered back to the clearing, he headed down one of the other paths you did not take.
After walking down the long path, it opens out into a large forest. The lupe stops, and turns to face you.
Well, here you are. he says, shrugging his head to the side towards the forest path, gesturing that it was safe to move.
Wait.. you finally say to him.
Oh, it speaks. He replied somewhat jokingly.
I just wanted to thank you, um... That's right, he never mentioned his name..
