If you're here looking for a good plot guide that tells you exactly what to do and gives sound advice on how to complete the plot - don't bother reading any farther. If you are looking for a cool page that lists the theories, red herrings, ideas and mysteries of the Lost Isle plot, by all means, keep reading!

Rather than have a plot guide, I find it much more fun to have a rumor guide. It's great fun to search the boards to find the little things people have thought of. Occasionally, I can even disprove a theory or two! But mostly, this page is just a fun place to see what people are thinking of.

Actually, I can't say every theory here is wrong. Perhaps I (or my helpers - which you can be one if you like, just neomail me) will find something that is actually a hint to solving the mystery. Who knows! You'll just have to check often and see what happens... ;)

These words (are they words?) appear on the first page of the comic, below the assistand with the pointer in his mouth. Do they mean something?

Here are the words backwards... Do you see 'Beware of mishap thug'? Because I do...

Dr. Sloth' was a choice for the Daily Puzzle on over 6 days.

Sloth? The captain? Coincidence? We shall see...

These red lines are found throughout the whole comic. These are just some of them from Chapter 1. People are having a hard time agreeing on what they are - just part of the art? A red herring? A clue?

Sloth? It's probably just a coincidence. Almost 100% likely a coincidence. Yeah.

Waaiitt.... Another one? This is getting creepy. o.o

Who is Pirre_Virre?

Pirre_Virre was a spammer who went onto the boards and pretended that there was a new gnome challenger. He was, of course, just looking for attention and regretfully he got it. Though he was frozen he has since moved to a side account. (For a short time Gnome-B-Gone will be given away freeeee! -While supplies last-)

This snowglobe showed up in the news for the 5th and 6th of May. Is it a clue? A red herring? Just a simple snowglobe with no intention of confusing Neopians? We shall see...

Looks as if they're holding hands. Perhaps this will be part of the story later?

Old Plot Characters

Linae, from the mini Shenkuu plot and Jacques, from the Maraquan plot are there. It also looks as though Linae is arm wrestling Bruno, from the HW plot, but Bruno's ears are wrong. Otherwise, it looks exactly like Bruno. Is it a mistake by an artist?

If I'm not much mistaken, the Aisha is Lisha and the Lupe is Jeran from the Meridell plot.

So are Garin, (Usul on left) from the Maraquan plot and Dasher, the Krawk on the right, from the same plot.

Board Quotes

People have been speculating about the relevance of the door on that tower and how it appears to be the same as the one in geraptiku and the time warp game. Others say theres something to do with the flower from the comic and mystery island and also the fact that fruit day is coming up soon.

I think its just a mini plot to introduce the new mutant world for the altador cup.

I think that somewhere in the story that Dora the Explorer will swing in and save the day.

Maybe it has something to do with the island above lutari island?

Could the code on the door have anything to do with the game on kreludor where you have to unlock the door for the grundos? anyone else have any ideas post em here!!

I think it may be the island where if you were to see neopia central, tyrannia, and faerie land at the same time on the map and turn it twice to the left you see lutaria island the go straaight up and see an island that resembles the map in the journal.

This is just my own personal theory (or maybe hope ) that this is a plot that will allow those of us without neopets mobile to access lutari island.

My theory is that it will turn out the island is a spring onion farm and sloth has enslaved millions of rocks as slaves

Scrappy will turn out to be a reincarnation of mad tounge dude or whateve his name is.

Maybe al-gore will appear somewere and make us all aware of global warming.

My guess is that Britany Spears will suddenly appear once beating the spider 73081638 times. Then, she'll want you to shave your head, but a llama named Brucey will save you and take you to a gummy bear castle where Squidward lives.

1.Neopets magazine #22 said there be a new island with mutant creatures 2.They had a mutated mootix and lady blurg in the comic 3.(I found this out myself) The bug monster we fought looks like a mutated Scritch

I made board yesterday saying the "monster" looked a lot like a skritch! And then another person posted that it could be petpetpet island or something and I was like "yeaaaa" XD Wow I wish I could remember their username, they must be really excited right now!

My prediction is that Sloth will attack the explorers, but then Elmo will swing in on a vine, crashing into Sloth, and after the cute little jubjub clears away the rubble, we will all learn the true meaning of Christmas...
