Hello there, and welcome to W: Cross-Painted Pets of Neopia, a very special type of directory. Here we showcase all of the wonderful crosspaints created by Neopians all over, so that all can bask in their glorious paint brush customizations. Crosspaints, after all, are said by some to be the only good thing to come out of the Conversion, as they allow for an extra level of uniqueness to the customizations made by users. Some paint brush clothes are more or less unique to a species, and are thus precious and priceless to those that own them. Some wear full sets, some partial, and some even clothing from multiple colors! Feel free to browse the many pets, or even to submit your own.

W.C.P.P.N. features an image database of all crosspainted pets that have been submitted, along with a short guide of how to crosspaint and a periodic featured pet. These pets are organized by species, paint, and name. Please only include paint brush clothing that is in the pet's permanent customization, and do not include pets that are undergoing secret lab treatment.

To crosspaint your pet, first plan a customization. There are various resources to help you with this, including onsite databases of possible crosspaints (/~sebastiame), wardrobe based fansites (such as Dress to Impress), and even the crosspaints listed on W.C.P.P.N. Find the base colors that you adore most and then add paint brush clothing that you believe would work best. Keep playing with these customizations until you find one that is perfect for you and your pet. For the sake of this guide, let us use one of my own personal crosspaints, Gasha. We have decided to make Gasha a Transparent/Royalboy Wocky.

To obtain the clothing, you first need to get a pet in the color that you wish to use for the clothes. The most common method is to paint the pet you plan to crosspaint this color, in this case, paint Gasha Royal, but there are other ways as well. You can also obtain a Royalboy Wocky from another person (via adoption, trade, or pound), zap one (if a zappable color) using the Secret Laboratory Ray, or find an unclothed version and having somebody else clothe it. Afterwards, all that you need to do is paint your pet the base color and customize!

For the purpose of this page, pets that have only one set of paint brush clothing outside of their base set are considered crosspaints, whereas those with two are more will be called multipaints.

Please keep in mind that clothes always transfer with a pet of the same color and that they never transfer with pets of other colors. For example, even if Gasha is wearing his Royalboy clothes (as his Transparent self) and I transfer an unclothed Royalboy Wocky off of that account, the Royal clothes will move with the Wocky. However, if I transfer Gasha, his clothes will remain on that account. The only way to remove paint brush clothes from one's closet is to transfer away a pet of their species and color.
