As I have adopted out a few pets before, I know how important it is to find out a bit about the (hopefully) adopter. I hope you two don't fall asleep with my boring life, but I feel it necessary to tell you, so...


My name is Shadow. I am 14 years old, and am currently in 8th grade. School's not that bad and I don't usually have too much homework, so I can be on Neo a lot. xD I live with my parents and my older sister, and I have two dogs and two cats.


I volunteer at a cat shelter called 9 Lives on Thrusdays after school with my friend Kayla, so I'm not usually on as much on Thursday, but Rai will still get the care he needs.


I love to hang out with my friends, and I'm learning to play guitar. I love to sing, and I'm pretty good. Not that anyone's really heard me except my mom. X.x I also love to listen to music my favorite bands include Good Charlotte, Hawthorne Heights, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, Rancid, Mest, H.I.M., the Used, and some other bands that have slipped my mind at the moment. xD




.: About Me on Neopets :.

Unless I'm grounded or on vacation, I am on Neopets everyday. I love to roleplay my lupes, over neomail and in my guild. I'm starting to do other species too. I've started Gelerts, Kougras, Xweetoks, Ixis (I need a good new ixi to start roleplaying with, and I think Rai would be just the thing!), and will hopefully start Peophins. I may even try Draik and Krawk roleplaying someday. Aside from roleplaying, I restock my shop, chat on the Fan Clubs, collect freebies and play games.


I am currently using the lab map to zap and adopt out some of my pets that aren't getting good enough care with me. I would never zap Veriath though. I love him the way he is. I actually applied for a shadow ixi when I was new to neopets. Her name was Sembaya. Unfourtunatly I didn't get to adopt her, and she ended up getting frozen.


I also collect avatars. I can get a bit obsessive sometimes if it's a really neat one... Wow, I just said neat while keeping a straight face. O.o Long story. Anyhow, my other accounts include ShadowAlphaWolf, Shadowed_Abhorrence, Forest_Cats98 (the account he'd go on), Disfunctional_Ebony, Black_Inks, and Krategirl4643368. (Please don't pay too much attention to my other accounts. I'm doing some major remodeling at the moment, working on two accounts at a time. Right now I'm on Forest and Midnight. Once I'm done with the editing and everything is back to normal, Forest and Midnight will be my main accounts.) Krategirl was my first account. I've had it for about 3 years, and I own an adoption agency there.




.: Why Do I Wish to Adopt Rai? :.

I have loved shadow ixis since I was new to neopets. They look so... serious, yet... I don't know... they look to me like they hold secrets. I probably sound like a loser saying that, but hey, what can ya do? In addition to my love of shadow ixis, comes my love of his name. It sounds perfect for the roleplay personality that I have planned for him. But more on that later. The fact that he's a shadow ixi, combined with his name is the reason I applied, even on such short notice.




.: Why Would I Be the Best Candidate? :.

So, I'm sure your wondering. 'Why would she be the best owner for Rai?' Well, that is exactly what this section is for. xD


Well, as I mentioned before, I have applied for a shadow ixi in the past, and since I was new (and not so good at html), I didn't know how to make a good application and I wasn't chosen. As you can see, I have improved in making applications since then, and I have since adopted three pets, which brings me to my next point.


You won't have to worry about Rai when he's in the pound. I have adopted three pets in my time on neo. I have adopted two cybunnys, Greenfullz(when she was actually green) and Nehrio. The third pet I adopted was a striped lupess named Gini_. She was given to me by a friend that was quitting neopets. So, from these successful transfers, you can see that I am skilled with the quick adopt link.


Also, I am literate, and I roleplay. He wouldn't just be a 'trophey pet'. I'd actually use him in roleplays, and make him a spiffy look up and petpage. It would look like what the pets on this account have, except personalized to him of course.


.: My Visions :.

I have many visions for Rai. I don't normally enter my pets in the BC, but if I drew a good picture of him, there's always a chance I'll enter.


Rai will remain the painted color of shadow, but I have developed a roleplaying design for him, pictured below.


Pretty cute, eh? xD He will get a better picture later; that's just a makeable. My scanner isn't working at the moment, and I'm getting a new picture program soon, as mine is getting annoying. x.x You can see an example of my work on Cyiix's lookup though.


Along with Rai's design, he'll have to have a matching petpet. (I'm kinda crazy in that sense. I love when things match.) The petpet I have chosen for him is a karren.


Yea, it's not the most expensive, or the cutest petpet ever, but I think the two of them just... fit.


Like I mentioned above, Rai will get a customized lookup and petpage like the rest of my pets have. It will probably look somthing like Xabyr's with a bit more of a green marshy theme. (You'll see what I mean later on.)


Rai's roleplay personality will be Arrogant, Secretive, Kind to Some, Eccentric and Intelligent. He will be roleplayed with ixis only, but I will be sure to find him plenty of friends, and maybe even a girlfriend. *wink wink* Hehe. This brings me to my next section; A roleplay Sample!


.: Roleplay Sample :.

Perfectly 'manicured' ebony hooves sunk into the soft earth of the marshland, outlining the trail over which the creature had traveled. The ixi walked with lofty, somewhat arrogant steps, which occasionally sent clumps of the soft brown soil flying into the air to land on the ground before him, only to be tread upon again.


His fore legs began with a foresty green shade, directly above his hooves, which steadily darkened into black, the main color of his short, yet soft pelt. He leapt over a small shrub, with the gentle ease of life-long practice. No large plants lived here; the soil was to fickle to support them. The only vegetation that could survive here was small, but it contained a lot of moisture and suited him well enough.


Up each of his back legs wound a thick dark green leaf covered vine pattern. He had once had actual vines there, but they had grown into him, and that was a story in itself. He paused in his journey and looked around through vibrant orange eyes that took in even the smallest detail of his surroundings, then shook his head.


Two long curved horns grew out of his skull. The had graceful, smooth arches, but the tips were filed to a sharp point, and could easily injure most predators. Yes. Veriath, or Rai as he preferred to be called, was a confident creature; but not wrongly so. He was after all, the most dangerous creature in this side of the marshland. There was something special about this ixi. Something he would never share.


.: Rai's History :.

*Please note: I'll just be giving you a brief overveiw of his history here. I'll write a more indepth story for him if I am chosen.*


Born to a mottled green doe (think mutant ixi) and a wind spirit, Rai's early years were quiet. His father, a semi transparent grey ixi, left Rai and his mother shortly after Rai's birth.


When Rai was young, he would travel the feilds in which he lived, always hoping to find his father, hiding amoung the shrubs. His long thin legs were perfect for traveling in the long grass, but even with that advantage, his father was never found.

Shortly after his first birthday, Rai began to develop strange powers. He could cause vicious wind storms, that could blow over a rather large tree.


On his second birthday his light green eyes turned an eerie orange color. Now, along with his wind powers, he had the strength of 20 ixis his age. He somtimes forgot his strength, and so, he tied vines around his legs. The vines were tied so that if he used any type of his powers, they would tighten.


One morning, he woke to find that the vines had sunken into his body, and now were tattoo like markings. In a panic, he bid farewell to his mother, and fled to the marshes were he could live out his days alone.
